《Distraction》I was going to surprise you...

You wake up to a loud smashing noise and then a 'Dammit!' From Steve's voice.
You jump out of bed and run down the stairs in a rushed panic.
"Steve?!" You call out as your footsteps thud.
"Shit..."
"Language cap" You smirk. "What's going on?"
You look around the kitchen. Counters were covered in various ingredients, Steve was covered head to toe in what could only be flour and there was a mixing bowl smashed on the floor infront of him.
"What're you doing?" You frown at him. You knew Steve wasn't a baker in the slightest.
"I was going to surprise you..."
"Surprise me?"
"It's Sunday...I was going to make you blueberry muffins" Steve says awkwardly as he looks down embarrassed "I've ruined it"
Tears full up in your eyes and Steve noticed. He steps over the glass carefully before coming to you side.
"Daisy I'm so sorry... I tried. I promise I tried, but you've been making them for me for over eight years and I just couldn't..."
Before Steve could finish you wrap your arms around his neck and pull him into a kiss. It was fast and desperate. Steve kisses back from shock for a moment before pulling you away and gasping for breath.
"W-what was that for?"
"This is the most romantic gesture Steve"
"R-really? Even if I failed?"
"Oh Steve" You shake your head. "You did everything BUT fail..."
You smile at him as a tear falls. You run your finger down his cheek, scooping up what looks like batter off his face before taking the finger into your mouth, letting a small moan fall from your lips. Steve gulps as his throat dries. He couldn't explain what he was feeling but he feels himself harden to the noise that came out of your lips. Daisy knew exactly what she was doing. Steve became flustered.

You go to out your finger back up for more batter but Steve grabs your wrist. You jump a little at the harsh contact but as you meets Steve's gaze you see nothing but lust and desire in his eyes and you smirk.
Steve drops your wrist before putting his hands to cup your face. Kissing you again. This time it was passionately. Slowly but firmly. Warm and wet.
You don't know how you both manage it but you make it over to Steve's sofa without braking contact. Tension rising within you both. You straddle his lap and start to unbutton his shirt when you hear a cough from behind you.
"Breakfast with a view?" Bucky calls out.
You jump up off of Steve's lap and turn to face him. Both yours and Steve's cheeks were flushed with heat. Gasping heavily from the heavy kissing. Steve's chest was rising and falling completely open on display.
You walk right up to Bucky and slap him across the back of the head.
"OW!" He hisses.
"Damn you Barnes" You sigh.
Bucky bursts out into laughter.
"Was you about to deflower Steve?" Bucky teases and your eyes widen. You don't look back at Steve but you imagine he has the same facial expression as you.
"Oh...OH...you were about to deflower eachother..."
You slap his head again
"OW!"
"Will you shut up! We didn't all lose our virginity at age 15 behind the ice cream parlour!"
Steve laughs and Bucky narrows his eyes at you before pulling you into a headlock laughing.
"You're so lucky we've become friends"
You pull away and smile at him.
"I'm happy for you both" Bucky says to you and Steve sincerely.
"Thanks Buck" Steve says as he buttons his shirt. Taking your hand in his as he stands beside you.
You look at him and your stomach flutters.
"I actually have a shift and was hoping for..."
"Blueberry muffins" You shake your head. "I'll whip up a batch now" You say kindly.
You look back at Steve "Nope, you're definitely not helping" You wink and Steve giggles.

8 133Triquetra: A Multi-Class Isekai or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept the End of the Multiverse
Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure I know, I know, you have heard it all before. Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers. Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been better prepared. Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt! (Told you this translator sucks) Warning Extra Crunchy Authorial Vebosity! Lots of infodump in the early chapters, but I learn my lesson and it does get better, eventually. I do not own the Cover image, found it on a free image site.
8 151Evolution of a Nobody
Albaer Babtiste Lamark is an outcast, his father is gone, his mother... well his father is gone. He has only one friend left in the world, and she barely speaks to him. His high school life consists of being picked on, bullied, and generally despised. All he has to keep him going is a video game. All he has that is... until an angel and a demoness appear in his bedroom after trying and failing to summon his videogame character as a hero to their world. Trapped with no way home, he allows them to remain in hiding in his room while they figure out what to do in a world where they do not exist. But the timeless rule of Earth is that change, begets change, and both theirs, and Albaer's life are now set upon a course that never could have been. For better or worse, they all must evolve, because what fails to adapt, must die.
8 100Breaking Point
Almost dying does something to you. Living alone in a forest from a young age does something to you. Growing up with almost no memories of who you are does something to you. Having to survive amongst horrifying monsters does something to you. One of these things changes a person. Two of these twist a person. Three of these breaks a person. Four of these remakes a person.
8 122Embers in the Ash
Four ordinary young people from four corners of the Earth wake up on a hill in another world. Here, their very presence is a crime against the Gods. On the fringes of civilization, life is often brief and always violent, but in the Empire's Heartland, implacable hunters seek to rectify their blasphemous existence with Blade and Fire. To return home, they will need to adapt to a place where their life will be earned in steel. But what will they be ready to sacrifice for their goal? Will their flame flicker out like so many others before them? Or will they thrive as Embers in the Ash? Hello, and welcome to my first fiction on this site! Embers in the Ash is an epic fantasy adventure story that aims to span quite a few chapters (I hope!). To set expectations, this isn't going to be a LitRPG or power fantasy-style story. I'm aiming for a fairly grounded story set in a fairly high-fantasy world. I hope you enjoy it! For this first month of publication, my aim is to give you, the reader, something to really bite into. I will be releasing a chapter every day at 9:15 AM EST (13:15 GMT), as well as the occasional double chapter (which will always be announced by a post-chapter author blurb). Check in fifteen minutes after the first chapter's release! After this first month of publication, the aim is to go for either a weekly or bi-weekly release schedule, depending on the sort of time I can reliably dedicate to writing. Either way, settle in for the long haul, and welcome to the story!
8 304How To Kill A God: A Fantasy Gamelit Thriller
Griffin, an exceptionally normal nerd, is summoned to a new world by forces that he can't yet understand. Tossed into the midst of a terrible plot by a serial killer, Griffin has to quickly figure what this strange new land is, how his new abilities work, and unravel the mystery that shrouds this dangerous killer. But he quickly finds that this plot extends far deeper than it seems, so deep that it embroils the gods and they themselves are worried about making it out alive. Can Griffin become strong enough to kill the monster that even the gods fear? Starting on June 3rd, this story will be released at a rate of two chapters per day for two weeks and then the rate will slow to a daily release for the rest of the month. The final posting rate will be five days a week, Monday through Friday. Note: This story takes a lot of inspiration from Naoki Urasawa's Monster, Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto, and Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen. If you happen to have enjoyed any of these, you might also enjoy this story.
