《Best friend VS Boyfriend》Morning, sun
Advertisement
Harry wakes up from the sun shining in his face, smile plastered on his face when he thinks about last night, and the boy that is sleeping only a few meters away from him. He rolls out of bed and walks past Louis' door that's slightly open. He is rolled up in a blanket, snoring lightly.
Can't wait to have him lying next to me like that.
Harry smiles and closes the door soundless again, going downstairs for a cup of tea for both Louis and him. When he arrives though, there is this huge tray of food with a note.
So proud of you for finally making the correct choice, choosing happiness
I made breakfast for the two of you, enjoy and I won't be home for the day.

Harry absolutely adores his sister. He puts the note aside and walks upstairs with the tray of food. He softly knocks on the door and enters the room.
"Lou..." Harry says softly.
"I'm sleeping, you fucker." He groans, eyes still closed.
"I have breakfast. Come on, babe it's noon."
Louis slowly opens his eyes, a small smile playing on his face when he sees Harry and the tray of food.
"Come here, I want to hug you before we eat." Louis pulls Harry on the bed by his shirt, arms wrapped around the curly boy's muscular body. "You're so soft." Louis hums, kissing Harry's cheek, from his cheek to his neck, forehead, to his nose and to finally kiss him on the mouth.
"Morning, cutie." Louis smiles, his hand already has found the way into Harry's curls, as it always does.
"Morning, sun." Harry smiles back.
"Sun? because I'm hot?" Louis jokes.
"Because you're the brightest thing in my life."

"Sap." Louis tries to sound teasing but his red cheeks say otherwise. "Now feed me."
"As you wish, your majesty." Harry takes the tray of food , putting some Nutella on a croissant. He breaks off a piece and holds it in front of Louis' mouth.
Louis laughs, almost biting in Harry's finger as he takes the piece of food inside his mouth.
"Can we talk now? Over breakfast?" Louis asks, voice a bit quieter as usual.
"Of course, what do you want to talk about?"
"This..." Louis points at Harry and him "I want to stay like this. It's – I have feelings for you too, H I think that's pretty obvious. I'm just not ready yet to say that..."
"The L-word..." Harry nods. "I'm sorry that I just threw it like that to you. I imagined the scene a bit more romantic."
"It's okay." Louis smiles. "And I can feel it, I can feel that you care a lot about me and that you obviously like me. I also get that, I'm amazing." He tries to make the situation a bit more light hearted.
"Glad you know that..." Harry winks.
"It's just- When I blocked your number and removed you from my life, I was very hurt H. I felt like by cheating on Taylor you also wanted to throw us away. I was completely heartbroken and I had nobody to talk to because I had to be there for Tay, or I thought I had to. I felt like you just threw us away like it was nothing, that you also didn't give a shit about me."
"I have always cared about you..." Harry whispers, kissing Louis' cheek.
"And I know that now, but Taylor has been lying to me all this time and yet- I know it's stupid but I still feel like I have to tell her first about how I feel before I jump into this, before we can get more serious." Louis looks down at his feet, scared for Harry's reaction.

He knows it's pathetic and Taylor hasn't really thought about Louis this past year but Louis isn't the same as her. They are fighting but he still cares, he can't just throw over twenty years of friendship away. He's not going to drop Harry for her, no hair on his head thinking about that, but he at least wants to tell her what's going on before he jumps into it. He feels like he kind of owes that to her.
"It's not stupid, Lou. It only shows how selfless you are, what an amazing friend."
"I'm crazy about you." Louis breathes out, connecting their lips again. "You're perfect, H. I was wondering- tonight I'm going out with Zayn and Sylvia and her friend, and I would love it if you joined us?"
"Want me to come with you?" Harry's eyes are wide in shock.
"Yeah, we're going to Luke's place so you're pretty safe when it comes to paparazzi. I just, is it stupid if I say that I want to spend every single second with you?"
"Not stupid, I'd love to join you. I first have a meeting with Kendall and management, though."
Louis rolls his eyes when he hears that name, it pisses him off, she pisses him off.
"You can drop that face, Lou. It's about the termination of the contract. We're going to discuss how that we are going to break up."
"I hate seeing her with you." Louis huffs, placing his head on Harry's shoulder.
"I know, I hate it too. But I promise you, I'll be joining you tonight and by Friday Kendall and I are done."
"Good." Louis kisses Harry again. "'Cause like, I don't really enjoy sharing." Louis puts the tray of food aside, pulling Harry on his lap as the kiss gets heated.
They get interrupted by the noise of Louis' phone, making Louis groan and roll his eyes.
"Who is it?" Louis asks.
"It's a message from... Aiden." Harry's voice goes all cold and dark, his jaw clenching as he speaks that name.
"What does it say? My password is 2828."
"Lou, I don't need to read your messages. I don't want to invade your privacy."
"It's okay, baby. I have nothing to hide from you." Louis doesn't, Harry can know everything and he knows how insecure he is when it comes to Aiden, so that's why he lets Harry open the message.
"He's asking if you are okay because you haven't answered his last message about hanging out."
"Oh, yeah." Louis nods. He honestly totally forgot about it. "Just text him back that I'd rather not."
Harry's eyes start to shine, smile spreading on his face.
"Are you sure, Lou? You're not doing this for me, right?"
"No, I'm doing this for us." Louis smiles. "Because the last thing I want is messing things up between us for someone that messed me up."

Beyond the Bridge
There are many worlds, many multiverses, and you can move between them via the Federation's Bridge network - magical gateways to other worlds. The world dubbed "C'thon" by its inhabitants - or Gamma-Theta-Nu-649, if you ask the Federation's bureaucracy - was deserted when the Federation found it. The "civilized" races had all died out centuries prior, and the wilderness had grown downright feral in their absence. Now, the lonely Federation outpost of Bridgetown is under constant threat from the hungry wildlife, malicious fey, territorial goblins, and wandering undead that surround it. The town's distance from the Federation's centers of power means that it gets precious few of the resources that it needs to stay safe and afloat. Enter the Guild of Adventurers, a plucky and disparate crew who do the Federation's dirty work in exchange for coin. One team, the first of many, crosses the Bridge to C'thon looking for fame, fortune, and (if they're lucky) the answer to a newly-discovered Prophecy. They'll get much more than they bargained for, although first they need to avoid being eaten by the local wildlife. Updates weekly on Wednesday. Chapters will be as long as they need to be for them to work, which means they can vary. If anything drops below 2500 words, I'll post an extra chapter if I have one ready. [PS: This is not a litRPG, but I do borrow heavily from TTRPGs for inspiration, and the general setting and storyline is from a TTRPG campaign I'm running.] [PPS: This is my first attempt at writing long-form fiction. I'm not trying to make a great piece of literature or have a multi-novel overarching plot, but hopefully it'll still be a fun story - let me know what you think in the comments.] [PPPS: Cover image is from a free-download wallpaper by Tyler Edlin; I do not own it, and will take it down immediately if requested.]
