5th chapter Sunghoon POV
"Wait isn't he one of those seniors who have those water balloon fights on the junior floor?"
"Yea, he's done for now."
"Imagine mistaking one of your friends for Sunghoon"
"Oh shit wait, that was sunghoon? I couldn't see through the crowd but damnnn jake's dead for sure"
"Not gonna lie I don't think so because even though the trio has all the attention at least ¾'s of the school know who Jake, Jungwon, and Sunoo are. They're always the cause of disaster if it's not some fangirls."
"True that, and not to mention jake's rich aF"
Why haven't I ever heard of this Jake guy or his friends if they're always the cause behind school disasters?
Jake POV
Once I got home after spending the rest of the school day hiding in the boy's toilets, I immediately collapsed onto my, cOUGH king size silk sheet cOUGH, bed and screamed into the pillows.
"Sir Jake? Your mother wishes to see you in the dining room" The family butler, Asahi informed, interrupting my mental breakdown.
(yES the Asahi from treasure khdabkjfh ps. Stan treasure)
...yes my family has a butler, and on that topic, we also live in a mansion and have insanely rich cars and clothes.
Although sometimes I wish I wasn't so rich because even though I'm able to get whatever I want it comes with a cost. Most of the time it just includes my parents dragging me to ovERLY formal meetings, and believe me when I say I'm not exaggerating the 'overly' bit. Aside from that, I move from country-to-country and never have long-term friendships, as well as a broken relationship with my parents.
The reason my relationship with my parents is broken is that they're always out of the house or barely able to converse with me even IN the house because of their work.
Anyways back on track, I went to the dining room to see why my mother summoned me.
"Jake, me and your father are going back to Australia"

8 1215Player Killer
In the world of New Dawn, the citizens seem to be suffering a divine punishment of some sort. The monsters that plague them are worse then devils, demons, or depraved criminals. The devils have their own twisted morality, demons are not intrinsically bad—they're just above humans in the food chain—and depraved criminals can at least be killed. The undying, capricious monsters kill anything and everything, devouring all in their sights like a swarm of locusts. What's more, the lords and kings who should be protecting them seem to be working with these monsters. When all seems lost, it falls to a young boy to save his people from these monsters… from the players. … In the players' eyes, he is a hidden boss—possibly even the final boss! In the developers' eyes… what the heck is this bug?!
8 218Thaellis A Kingdom Down Under
A kingdom down under, once it had prospered, expanded, built, and conquered until all that they thought of worth was theirs. Peace ruled for a time the people absorbed in their own self-satisfaction. But eventually, old urges returned. Conquest called, though this time there was no outside outlet to turn it towards. So in ages so long and distant the memories most couldn’t recall, the kingdom turned upon itself. War raged for many years, no one coming close to being considered a victor, it appeared that this self-destruction would go on till nothing was left. Many if given the chance would have claimed that would have been a mercy for this kingdom and its people. For as they killed, and butchered each other over things they already had. Vibrations traveled through rock and stone guiding things best left alone. Creatures came things of horror armed to the teeth with claws, fangs, and armor. Cities fell and were consumed not even the bones of individuals remained, for these creatures hunger knew no limits, had no end. The kingdom rallied together once more, what was left, they fought and fought but their Nightmare had no end. Their greatest, brightest minds worked their magic, carved into stone. Wards they called them, this would keep their Nightmares away. They abandoned attempts to fight and focused on walling every surface of the kingdom with these Wards. It worked mostly, an illusion of peace returned, one that crumbled often, but it was better than before, it was a bearable hell now. So here we start our story as ages have passed for a walled-off kingdom, hunted by a never-ending Nightmare. With a poor but deserving soul born into this world.
8 168The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
