(Next day)

As I went downstairs, I saw Yaz sitting at the sofa while reading some book which is really new to me.

I smiled at her and was about to open the door-

she called and stood up

she said and looked away trying to avoid my gaze

I smiled and nodded

I left the house and drove to the company. I called my secretary and she announced about the meeting I will be holding today. I want them to know that everything is fine and the story they were writing shouldn't be rushed. I also talked to the other company and they apologized for not knowing about it. They deleted the announcement and even offered me something in exchange just for me to accept their apology. I rejected their offer and accepted their apology. They didn't know about it. Why would I accept their offer?

Mom and Dad keep scolding me last night for talking to another girl. We almost got into a fight but then Yaz brought up about Trixie cheating on me back then. They were both shock and apologized but I can't blame them. I know they don't want me to do the same thing like what Trixie did.

As I arrived at the company, I greeted everyone with a smile and went to the floor where the meeting will happen. I entered the conference room and saw everyone there, except Aika.

Their panicking expressions finally turned into a relief one. I smiled at them as I went to the front.

one of the employees asked

Manager said

I looked at the newbie and he was staring at me. He has tears in his eyes but trying so hard not to let it fall. He then looked away as he met my gaze. I guess he is finally feeling guilty for what he did.

another employee asked

Aika entered and bowed. She went to her seat and was shocked why everyone is staring at her.

She glared at me.

I looked at Aika and she is looking down like I said something wrong. Elara is teasing her secretly while giggling at her reaction.

My phone received a massage all of a sudden...
