That night I sit with Amber at the bar as Lilac dances on the dance floor. I sip at my Cosmo. "Why aren't you dancing?"

"I was born with two left feet. So, how's life with Hunter going?" She asks, swirling her straw in her cocktail.

"It's actually alright. He was cold towards me when I first came but now it feels like we really understand one another."

Amber eyes my empty glass. "Want another drink, my treat?"

"No, I'm not supposed to drink anymore. Hunter doesn't want me to lose my senses."

"But what he doesn't know won't hurt him." She grins.

"No, he had his beta, Aiden, come to keep an eye on me."

"Why, he doesn't trust you? Does he think you are actually doing the killings?" She leans closer, seemingly intrigued.

"No, it's to protect me. I already told you, he knows I'm innocent-" As I say this I hear Lilac shout.

"I said don't touch me!"

Me and Amber turn to face the scene of Lilac and a man, now crumpled on the floor with his face contorted in pain. Lilac then storms of the dance floor and sits next to us at the bar, taking a shot before slamming the glass down.

"What happened over there?" I ask.

"The jerk touched me, I told him to stop but he didn't. So I-" Lilac says but Amber bursts out laughing.

"So you kicked him in the nuts."

"It's not funny, assault is still assault." Lilac puffs out her cheeks.

"Yeah but if it were me I would have done something more than a kick below the belt." Amber grins. "Anyways Roxie, you really should have something else to drink. Think of it as a 'belated bachelorette party'."

"Yeah, you should try to enjoy yourself a little more. My brother needs to learn that he can't control everyone the way he likes."

"You're a free woman. You can enjoy your life however you want." Amber looks around. " Looks like Aiden is getting a lot of attention from the girls here. They would freak out if they knew what he was. But that means you might be able to slip a few more drinks past him."

Amber slides a shot my way and I look to make sure Aiden wasn't going to notice before slamming it down. I let out a sigh of relief as I look back over to Aiden who was still being hounded by the other women. He's too distracted to notice.

I'm quickly handed another drink. "To many more years of happiness!" Amber shouts.

As the night went on I managed to slip a few more shots past Aiden and I felt like I was going to be ill. Rushing to the bathroom I begin to heave, having drank to much. As I am in the stall losing everything the lights flick off and I'm plunged into darkness. At first I try not to panic in my inebriated state. Figuring the lights were on a sensor so I did my best to stay silent and listened for a moment. To my horror I could here someone else breathing and my already beating heart starts to speed up.

I hear the first stall door swing open with a "Creek", then the next. In that instant my sickness and drunkenness was gone and I knew I was in over my head. Another door swings open and my mind comes to a horrifying conclusion. This bathroom only had six stalls and I was in the fifth. The person only had two more stalls to get to me. At this point I'm praying that Aiden and the others notice I'm gone. Hunter was right, I put myself in a vulnerable position.

I hear the stall next me open and I see the light of a flashlight shine through the opening under the stall. The person was now on the other side of my door. I could hear them try to get in but the door was locked. I then hear them tap on the door with something hard. Yeah right, as if I would open the door you fucking creep.

Was it even possible for me to make a break for it? Should I try to fight back? If I can get past them I could get everyone's attention. It's now or never, as they continue to try to get in the locked stall I silently crawled under the divider. Then getting into a standing position I quickly peak my head out to see a faint beam of light streaming in from under the door. That's my target.

With a quick breath I run for the exit but an arm grabs me into a bear hug and I feel something against my neck. I feel a sudden shock run through me and I collapse to the floor as the light from the door seemingly fades away.
