For a last time

A last time. A last goodbye to Ariana and Aberforth, before Albus leaves the house. A last, taking a deep breath and entering the streets of Godric Hallow with his books under his arm, his hand being tighted around the handle of his suitcase. A last small smile at Bathildas window wich she always stood behind on september the first, to wish Albus the best for his new school year. It would be the last time, because it's his last year. The last time he will see his friend, the teachers and will have a fully trust in the place he is. A last time living in the place he called his home. But also last time, feeling bad 'cause he left his siblings all alone. A last time feeling bad because he left Aberforth alone with their sister, they loved, but who still killed their own mother. A last time being scared that when he comes back both of them will be found dead.

So he stood there, waiting for the train wich would take him to London. It was so early, not even the sun was awake just yet. It's going to be just fine, he thought and let out a sigh. They will be just fine. He repeated in is head, over and over again, trying to make it clear for him. Trying to believe it. To trust his brother while he was miles away, trying to be the best, to get to the top, so he would make sure their future was safe. „Good Morning Albus. We agree on the fact that it is way too early, don't we?" It was Diana's voice wich ripped him out of his thoughts, and Merlin, he was thankful for that. Not a single second more he wanted to keep his brain going that way. To be more worried then he should, since he knew everything was going to be okay, just like in the last six years. He stroaked through his shoulder long brown hair, moved his glasses back on his nose, since it slipped off as he turned his head to his best friend.

„Yes, definitly. No one can tell me otherwhise" he replied, in his deep moring voice, having a small smile on his lips. Only her appereance gave him a feeling of being safe. He needed her in his life, from the deepest of heart. Diana is a strong, indepanted women, she doesn't need a man on her side, she could solve everything on her own. She was the strongest person Albus knew. But falling for her? He could never, instead the guy, a bit younger then him looked so good on the broom on the quidditch field. What is wrong with him? Why does he feel like that? Shouldn't he fall for the hot girl, who everyone is falling for?

„It's our last year. We should make it more interesting, for all of us" she chuckled and winked as she leaned on the wall next to the taller one, wich made him smile again. Albus hesitaded for a second. „It would be better if we focused on class instead. Like you said, it's our last year. We need to have good grades for the graduation" The boy explained and stroked his hair behind his ear, hearing some loud train noises as it slowly comes near. „Sarcasm Albus. Sarcasm." Diana pushed herself of the wall, grabbed her stuff just like the other did. Rather quickly the friends hoped in the old train, heading to London. With a loud sigh of relief Albus dropped himslef on a seat, keeping his luggage close to his legs. Suddenly a male sat next to the both teens, breathing heavily, looking very exhausted. The boy ran through his short blonde hair, leaned onto the seat. „Mornin' guys, I really thought I'd miss the train, but here I am" Jonnisen Roger. Shining in clumsyness like ever. „But you made it" Albus smiled at him, closed his eyes and enjoyed the fresh air wich came through the window as the train started rolling. „Did I? Am I here? Merlin, I honestly don't know!" he joked and laughed purely. Stereotypes suck, we know, but this guy is a full Hufflepuff and you can tell. The brown haired guy nodded, the smile wouldn't leave his lips as he looked out of the window and watched the landscape passing by.

Hours passed by as they arrived at the Londoner train station. „Albus.. Come on, wake up" Diana whispere as she pulled on his shoulders, trying to rip him out of his calm sleep. Wich he deserved. „Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore! Wake up!" she shouted quietly and smirked as he immediatly opened his eyes. „Don't you dare to say my full name ever again.." he mubled quit tired as he got up, grabbing his books and suitcase. Strangey Jonnisen already left the train. He never was the first one. This felt wrong. „He ran after this girl, I really forgot her name.. The girl from Slytherin, same year as us.. Ugh I can't remeber.." Al smirked, hearing the smartest person he knew actually forgetting something. He followed Diana as she left the train, walking to the pier wich took them to platform 9 ¾ . „What time is it?" the girl asked as they rushed through the stones. „Same as always Diana" Albus replied to her question, wich made her smile. Because he was right. Honestly he was most of the time. The thin boy is pretty smart, but actually sarcastic most of the time. He is one of the purest and bravest Person Diana knew. There where many reasons they where friends. This was one of them. A warm laugh left her throat, she shook her head and looked at the train wich would bring them home, also pulling Albus' glace on it. „We're almost home" he brought over his lips, whispering, but his voice was full of joy. Home. The place he could go and all the pain fell of his shoulders, he had nothing to worry about. He loved the castle in every way. It was his everything.

And again, they got into a train, Albus dropped himself on the seat, sighed in relief and you could clearly tell how much he relaxed as he breathed in the smell of his beloved home bringing train. A loud 'Woho!' filled teh train with sound as the blonde boy, Jonnisen, rushed to his friends. „She said yes!" he fell onto his seat, but quickly sat up straight. „Definition of 'she said yes'?" Albus asked the other boy and raised one eyebrow. „I asked he out for the winter ball, it's never too early, as you know and she actually said she will think about it!" The boy explained excited as the smile on his face actually got brighter with every second he thought about that girl. Albus smiled, being so proud of his friend. The brown haired guy leaned back in his seat as he looked at Diana wich rolled her eyes as te boy-in-love kept talking about the girl. The taller one smirked, putted his hands on his knees and kept listening to the so passionate voice of Jonnisen.

After many minutes of listeing and a little argue about how annoying the blonde boy is, they finally arrived at the train station. „Home." The three said at the exact same time and all rushed out with their lugagge in their hands, not being able to stand one more second being seperated from their loved castle. A old man, wich they called the cold Manny, guided the group of way to many people to the boats. Albus sat into one of them, held his hand into the water and enjoyed how fresh it was. Not only the liquid, also the fresh air the night brought them. The lights of the the school got brighter every meter they got closer to it. Al smiled at his best friend who was still close to him. Only a few more moments later they finally where walking upstairs to the huge entrance of Hogwarts. Dumbledore took a deep breath.

The first deep breath before the door opened and he could enter.

Like very other year they got into the great hall, he sat onto his table, the group of three splitted. Jonnisen got onto the Hufflepuff table, Diana on the Rawneclaw one and Ablus onto the Gryffindores'. The Headmaster of the school had a long and exhausting speech about the rules and for the new students, wich where quit a lot this year. The more intersting part came, the sorting. Albus gave it all his attention since he loved this part. You knew the person without knowing them, when you know how they look and what their house is. Name after name got shouted and the kids stepped the few stairs up to sit on the chair and get sorted. Some of them smiled, some of them didn't, but the most of them where very happy with their house. Right now, Albus forgot to worry about what was happening at home. About Aberforth and Ariana, right now, he was the happiest he could. He was home, that was everything what was important right now.
