🧜♂️Sorry for the lack of uploads. I am still in finals week and it's been hard to update all the books I'm working on. I also have other social media account I need to update as well, but it's hard. I've been Hella busy! Maybe I'll try to make an update vid on my YouTube just to explain my situation. Anyways thats why the chapters are short and limited. Enjoy anyways!~Maddy🧜♂️
McCree gasped and swam towards Hanzo grabbing his arm.
"Wait Hanzo, I..."
Hanzo turned around sternly.
"I hope you are satisfied. Once this is all over, we will never see eachother again."
Hanzo shoved McCree off, stepped out of the water and walked away. Jesse cursed to himself and walked out. He dried his hair off and looked down at his phone to hear it ring. He answered.
"It's McCree."
"Hey it's Jacob. I wanted to tell you that Lucas just came out of the hospital. They said that there was a large amount of sea dragon venom in his blood. The doctors were able to get it out, but he's going to be at home for a few days."
McCree thought to himself. "Sea dragon venom?"
"Poor guy probably still has that damn stuff in his body. He keeps spoutin off about mermaids." Jacob said.
McCree grew nervous.
"I-I have no clue why he'd be talkin nonsense like that. It's not like mermaids are real. I'm sure it's just a side effect of the venom. He'll be back to normal in no time." Jesse said.
"I hope so. I'm still down a man. Are you able to come and work tomorrow? You could bring that new friend of yours."
McCree looked behind him and out the window to see Hanzo sitting on the edge of the deck, sulking.

"Yeah, I guess I could."
"Great, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye Jacob."
McCree hung up and sighed. He stared out the window again at Hanzo. Jesse smiled to himself. He had an idea. That night he went down to the doc to use their computer. He researched everything on mermaids he could find and about the island Hanzo lived under.
----------
"Hey Hanzo?"
Hanzo grumbled a bit.
"What do you want?"
"Tomorrow Jacob needs me out on the water fishing and I'm thinking you could come with."
"Why would help you?"
"Well, while my net was in the water I was gonna go investigate the island of...Doragon I think it was called."
Hanzo gasped and turned to McCree.
"Did you say Doragon?"
"Um yeah?"
Hanzo stared wide eyed and stood up.
"That means Dragon in Japanese. That means, that island is part of the Japanese merpeople history!"
McCree stared in shock.
"Damn. Well, I did some reaserch. This article says that mysterious things can happen on these islands if they have magic moon pools in them, like the one in the cave. On full and new moons a variety of things can happen there."
"Like what?"
"I guess if a mermaid is in or by a moon pool durring the full moon in the presence of a human, they can turn human."
Hanzo gasped.
"We were in there on the night of the full moon! Can we reverse it?"
"I-I'm not sure Hanz. We gotta go check it out I guess."
Hanzo nodded in confirmation.
"Ok. I'll go."
"Good. I want to fix this."
"Trust me. I do too."
"No Hanzo. I wanna right my wrongs. I've made some shitty decisions recently and I wanna make up for it."

Hanzo glared at the ground.
"Even if you did Jesse. It does not change the fact that I do not belong here with you. However I appreciate you helping me. I regret that I have never needed anything from anyone." Hanzo smiled a bit. "It is nice. Once we do find out how I can change back, I'll be sure to return the favor."
McCree smiled.
"Ya don't need to do that, besides this is basically my way of apologizing for dropping ancor at your island in the first place."
Hanzo frowned remembering how he even got into this mess.
"Right, well we should be going now shouldn't we?"
"Yeah, I'll start her up."
McCree started the boat and drove it to the island. McCree and Hanzo both carried bags up the shoreline and started traveling to the cave. The moon pool was just as they left it, untouched and calm. Light seeped in from the top of the cave. There was a small crack in the ceiling shining sunlight into the cave. McCree looked down at his watch.
"Yeah, it's high noon. No wonder this place runs on moonlight. That hole points directly towards the moon pool."
Hanzo looked curiously up at the hole.
"You said that this only happens on the night of the full moon, right?"
"Right."
"I wonder what would happen on the night of the new moon?"
Jesse tipped his hat up getting a better view of the cieling.
"Worth a shot, but we gotta wait for the new moon to come."
Hanzo stared at Jesse a little worried.
"How long is that going to take?"
Jesse gritted his teeth.
"Thirteen days."
Hanzo gasped.
"Thirteen days?! That's unbelievable!"
Jesse looked down.
"Sorry Hanz. There's not much else we can do unless you wanna wait for another full moon."
"How long will a full moon take?"
"A month."
"No way! I'd rather wait for the new moon."
McCree chuckled a bit.
"You're a hoot, Hanz."
Hanzo sighed and sat down in the sand staring into the moon pool. Jesse sat by him.
"McCree I-"
"Right right, don't use that name. I know."
"No no. I wanted to apologize for earlier this morning. I may have gotten a little too defensive."
"It's alright Hanz. I get it. You have a home too."
"No, the truth is Jesse that I'm scared."
"Scared?"
"I'm scared that I will get too attached to...humans...dare I say it...to you as well. I'm scared that if I get too attached that I will not want to leave."
McCree's eyes widened. He was shocked that Hanzo felt this way. He leaned foreward and looked at Hanzo.
"Y'know it's ok to be scared. To be scared is not to be weak. It just means you've been strong for too long."
Hanzo laughed a bit. He looked up towards the cave wall and watched water drop down from it.
"I have only been here for two days and I'm already falling."
"Falling?"
Hanzo got close to Jesse and looked intimently into his eyes.
"Falling for you, Jesse."
Hanzo's hand came up grabbing McCree's head and slamming into his lips. He gently sucked on them. McCree had to breathe through his nose. Hanzo finally broke the kiss blushing hard.
"You were right McCree. I have been strong for too long."
