-Neil P.O.V-

I woke up and saw max sleeping on the sleeping bag next to me. Ugh, max he ruined me and Nikki's....Reunion. Yeah that's what that was. But he still ruined it for no apparent reason. Max is my best friend but sometimes he can be a asshole when it comes to relationships. Even though me and Nikki are FRIENDS, he was being irritating by ruining our simple reunion. I got up and got dressed. I then went towards the mess hall and saw Nikki standing by the door.

"Hey Nikki!" I happily said.

"A good morning? Right?" I asked. Nikki had a frown on which was super unlike her.

"You okay?" I calmly said.

"Oh, yeah I'm fine I was just wondering where Gwen or David is." She said.

"No one can seem to find them." She looked out at the lake.

"Well, there probably just fucking." Max laughed as he walked up. I gave max a dirty look and turned my attention toward Nikki again I didn't feel like talking to him at all.

"Well the cars gone so I'm guessing they went into-" Nikki was cut off by David who crashed through the door.

"Guys! Have any of you seen Gwen?" David said panicked. Nikki was knocked onto the ground and looked up. I put a hand out and pulled Nikki off the ground. I turned around and saw max giving me that death stare again.

"I'm sorry Nikki! Are you hurt? Or anything broken? Or-" David was cut off.

"I'm fine." Nikki said smiling.

"But none of us have seen Gwen today." I said to give David an answer.

"Well, I have no idea where she's gone all of her stuff is here." David said.

"David, she probably just went into town to go find some local hotties or something. I mean it's Gwen." Max said.

"I guess." David walked away and went towards the councilors cabin. We went into the mess hall to find everyone eating breakfast. Nikki went in front of me to get her food and I accidentally put my hand on top of hers. We both chuckled under our breath and then pulled our hands away. I turned my head slightly to see max who was giving me the angry eyes again.

"I keep messing up." I thought to myself. I don't want me and Max's friendship to be over he has just been so weird lately. I was fed up with my thoughts and turned to face max.

"Listen max, I don't know why your being weird and keeping your distance from me and Nikki, but this whole being mad at me thing needs to stop." I stated.

"To stop? You don't understand Neil!" He yelled. It caught everyone's attention and I felt out of place.

"Max stop yelling, your catching everyone's attention we can work this out peacefully." I stepped towards Nikki backwards and max came closer.

"I don't think you can understand anything!" Max yelled once more. I so badly wanted David or Gwen to walk in and stop this. By now everyone was looking at us.

"I clearly like Nikki! But you didn't see that because you don't care about me." He said crossing his arms and tearing up. I looked at Nikki who was mouthing out the word no.

"Wait, you like Nikki?" I said. My heart sank and I felt myself feeling bad. I guess I wasn't really thinking about max this summer I was so excited to see Nikki.

"Yes!" He yelled.

"I guess you were just to oblivious to figure it out." He said under his breath. And then I snapped. I smacked max across the face and everyone gasped. Nikki ran to Nerris and hid behind her.

Max swung at me with his hand. And then I tackled him to the floor we were punching and slapping each other.

"GUYS! STOP! NEIL! MAX!" I heard Nikki yell from behind us. Then Gwen came running in.

"YOU TWO STOP RIGHT NOW!" She picked us up by our shirts and we couldn't hurt each other anymore.

"Gwen?" Neil asked.

"Yes, and?" She asked us.

David came into the door with another person behind him. I couldn't tell who it was but I was so beat up I felt really sleepy. Gwen put us down and was mumbling to herself.

"First I have to deal with my fucking irritating family and now this shit." She walked towards David and the other person.

"You two should be very disappointed in yourself!" David scolded.

"Now go to your tents, actually all of you go to your first activity I have to discuss something." David said while looking to Gwen.
