[Chapter 7]
I left my room and headed into the bridge where I hear Rip shouting at the other members of the team. I am completely dried off and in a pretty good mood after I finished my entry in my journal. My headache has subsided but it's still lightly there.
"Oh, wonderful. Another unauthorized passenger. That worked out so splendidly last time." Rip continued ranting.
"It's all right. He was just leaving." Martin replied making Rip huff with annoyance.
"I'll show you out," Jax told the younger Stein.
"So, have we met before? In a manner of speaking. Have a wonderful life, Martin. I mean that sincerely." Martin told his younger self.
"I'm not even going to ask," I say as I plop down on one of the chairs.
"Captain Hunter, we're getting an incoming call Mr. Snart on Mr. Rory's comm unit," Gideon informed.
"On speaker." Rip instantly commanded.
"I'll make this short. The owner of the mansion we burgled is Vandal Savage. He's really interested in meeting you guys, especially our feathered friends." Leonard yelled frantically before getting cut off.
"They have the dagger," I said.
"And Savage has them." Sara pointed out.
"Doesn't matter. Just get me close enough, and I'll do what needs to be done." Carter vowed.
"Gideon, take us to them now!" Rip yelled as the rest of the team raced into their seats.

"Your friends are cowards," Savage sneered as he aimed a gun at Mick's head.
"They'll be here." Ray insisted.
"They're taking too long. They need an incentive," Savage said slightly impatient, about to pull the trigger when a blast of fire shot at him causing him to recoil from Mick. Everyone's heads snapped upwards to see Firestorm and I standing on the balcony above.
I flip onto the floor as Savage looks at Firestorm in awe and glee.
"The burning man." Vandal smiled.
"I don't just burn, pal. I blast things too." Jax told him before firing a blast at Savage that sent him hurtling across the room. The force of the blast caused Savage to smash right into a brick wall. Rocks crashed into his back as he landed harshly on the cold wet ground.

"You good?" I asked Mick, helping him up.
"I'm pissed!" Mick exclaimed angerly.
"Stand back," Jax told Ray and Snart before he blasted the cage door open.
"Cmon teams outside," I smiled to the annoyed criminal duo.
"You think that pathetic blast could beat me? I am Vandal-" Savage's roar was cut off as electricity hurled at him sending him flying backward again this time hitting his head against a metal bar. A gash opened up at the side of his forehead.
"We should get moving." Ray urged.
"It's all good. Savage is down." Jax said as the five of us met up with the rest of the team.
"Savage is not defeated by earthly means," Carter responded.
"Well, I hit him with a nuclear blast and Isabelle shocked him pretty good so, you know, not that earthly." Jax shot back.
"Let's go get that son of a bitch," Snart growled, completely pissed off.
"Are you ready to end this?" Carter asked Kendra.
"We've only been waiting 4,000 years," Kendra replied and the two hawks took off into the sky.
"We got company," Mick said.
"Friends of Savage I bet," I say, ready for a fight.
"You'll be needing this. Don't leave any pieces of it behind this time." Rip told a sheepish looking Ray, who took the suit from the time master.
"You think you can do this?" Snart asked. "With you, half-drowned and barely able to walk earlier?"
I wave off his concern and smile. "The best part about being abnormal, I heal fast and this fight will be a piece of cake." Two guys raced toward me and Snart, shooting at us with their guns.
I command the air to deflect their bullets back in their direction, and the two guys tried to leap out of the way of the bullets. But they were too slow, so a couple of bullets snagged them in their arms, legs, and sides.
More men were coming and we knew because of the shine of their flashlights. Let's see how well they attack us without their light. I snap my fingers, knowing my eyes are shining a bright gray, and all the flashlights blinked out.

"Told you, I'm good," I say toward Leonard, who's blasting a couple of guys with his cold gun.
"Mhmm," is all Snart says but he doesn't leave my side. I roll my eyes and I can see Snart smiling at my reaction.
The battle has consumed the entire yard. Rip was shooting his gun at the men, but he was cornered by a wall. I willed the air to knock them all down and I received a grateful look from Rip. I give a slight nod and continue scanning the yard.
Ray and Firestorm were taking guards out from above while Mick was roasting guys with his heat gun. It was complete chaos but soon, all of our attackers were down and we all raced to help Kendra and Carter.
Sara gasped as we all rounded the corner. I reacted first, firing a shot at Savage before he could kill Kendra with a gun I stole from the men who tried to attack me.
"Carter." Ray breathed.
"He's lost. Get Kendra before Savage recovers." Rip said.
"Come on, we can still kill this bastard." Snart urged.
"Kendra is the only one who can." Rip countered.
"We gotta go. Kendra needs medical attention." Ray pointed out.
"Gideon, get us underway as soon as Firestorm and the Atom are onboard." Rip said firing his gun at the men chasing us.
I whipped around and commanded the wind. I rushed passed as roughly and lifted the men into the air. I made a slapping motion with my hand and the men went flying.
"Get her to the MedBay now." Rip told Mick who nodded.
-Later back in the ship-
"How's Kendra?" Rip asked as Ray and Martin appeared in the control room.
"The same." Ray sighed despondently.
"So what now?" Jax asked.
"Now? Now it's up to you," Rip told our glum crew.
"To do what, Rip? Last I checked, every time we try to do anything, it all goes to crap." I say.
"Oh, I must disagree with you. Thanks to Miss Lance, Dr. Palmer's future technology is no longer in the hands of Vandal Savage's black market weapons designers."
"But it didn't do anything to change the fate of your world," Martin stated.
"No. Vandal Savage will still rise to power in the year 2166." Rip admitted, sighing deeply.
"And your family will still die?" Sara asked standing up.
"So what you're really asking is, do we want to fish or cut bait? Return to 2016 and live out the rest of our lives as insignificant losers or-" Snart was cut off.
"Make another play at becoming legends. Figure out how to end Savage and save the world." RAy said finishing off the more positive side of Snarts proposition.
"Preferably, without causing any more nuclear explosions," Stein said looking at me and I nod in agreement.
"Savage has my attention," Mick said darkly.
"Look, we didn't know Carter from Adam, but if you take out one of my crew, you better pay the price." Cold said.
"Surely Captain Hunter has a sound plan," Stein said.
"What about you?" Stein asked Jax.
"You're asking me?" Jax questioned, slightly shocked.
"I didn't give you much of a choice the first time, did I?" Martin responded.
"Well, I say we kick Savage's ass," Jax said.
"For Carter," I say, feeling sorry for the reincarnate boy. I didn't know him well but still. No one really deserves to die over and over again forever.
"For Carter." Everyone agreed. Sara looked at me a way she's never looked at me before. There was actual kindness in her eyes instead of her regular look of hatred.
"So, Captain. Where are we going next?" I say, looking at Rip.
