It's been about a day and a half since you where 'reborn' and you've been nonstop training, trying to work out your new abilities.

Karl and you figured out that the metal inside of you isn't exactly metal. It's an element that acts, feels and looks like metal but doesn't share the same properties. It doesn't matter what it is because Karl used his abilities on you and somehow he was able to levitate you off the ground, so it is a metal element but not the same as the rest. Perhaps it's a new element.

And your skin hasn't really changed, it's still the same but a bit cooler in temperature. Just feeling your skin you can feel the small thin layer of metal between the skin and the endoskeleton but it's wasn't hard and unmoving, it was flexible and sturdy. Like another layer of skin underneath your original but stronger, you and Karl now refer to that layer as the 'under skin'.

Your endoskeleton just acts like your original bones and muscles but giving you better reflexes, meaning your hand eye coordination has improved tenfold and you could do things you never could do before like climbing.

Also due to the changes in your body it just made you an absolute tank, Karl wanted to see how you'd do against his experiments and you won every time. Your increased strength due to your metal parts made you extremely strong, making things that are extremely heavy more light weight to you.

You even tried picking up Karl's hammer, obviously it was no match for you. While holding it you did some nifty tricks with it like throwing it up in the air and catching it or posing with it like you where trying to feel what position you preferred to hold it in.

Karl just watched your cocky little actions with his hammer, smirking at some and chuckling at others. He thought that the abilities you'd gain would be far different, he hoped that you'd get the same abilities as him but fate had a different plan. In his mind it was good that you'd have metal somewhere in your body, easier to move you if needed to; more easier to keep you on a metaphorical leash.

Don't get him wrong, he absolutely loves your company and how sweet you can be and how vulgar you can be sometimes. Your sassy side was very attractive to him since he loved a partner to have a bit of fire, but the game you two where playing is dangerous. He wouldn't want anything to happen to you so he'd prefer to stay by your side until this 'game' has been won. Preferably won by you two.

He was also extremely disappointed that you said no to the whole 'marriage' idea, he knew it was only a joke but he felt a bit of his 'soul' (or whatever remains of his soul) died when you disregarded it as an option.

Karl didn't want to make you do things against your will, especially 'marrying' someone they've only know for a few months. It was still a bit of a blow to his ego but he'll recover from this little wound to his ego.

As you continued to play with his hammer he pulled out one of his massive cigars and a lighter, lighting the end of the big cancer stick and sneaking the lighter back into his trenchcoat's inner pocket. It's a good thing you two where outside because if you where deep in the factory that room would smell like smoke for days.

Looking at the cigar clenched between his teeth you thought about how you where now immortal, would cigars hurt your insides or would they still have the same effect on your lungs? Could you die from lung cancer if you where immortal?

You didn't know the answer so you went up to him and asked. Of course he chuckled at your little questions, look his cigar out and held it between his fingers so he couldn't answer but still taking a few puffs through it answer. "Well the cells in your body regenerate faster now so no it wouldn't hurt you; because your cells in your lungs regenerate so fast that cancer can't develop so it's okay to smoke. When I was human I only smoked when I needed it, I never smoked this much back then."

"Makes sense, I've never smoked because of the fear that I'd die from it." You commented, looking down at the cigar in his hand. Something inside you wanted to try it but you where a bit embarrassed to ask.

Heisenberg noticed you looking down at his cigar and chuckled, "Where's this conversation going?"

You face became bright red as you looked away, "I-I was just making small talk, is all!"

Karl chuckled again and held out his cigar, "You want to try it?"

Looking back, your face was now less red, you took the cigar from his hand, hesitated for a moment and then put it in your mouth. Slowly you breathed in a little, took it out of your mouth and breathed out; causing smoke to leave your lips. After that you started to cough a bit, Karl placed his hand on your back and lightly patted it.

He chuckled once more and commented, "That went really smoothly, especially for your first time. Does this mean I can smoke around you now?"

You chuckled as you nodded, "Okay. Also maybe in the future I could be your 'smoking buddy'?"

"I could always use with a 'smoking buddy'." Karl quickly responded, looking up to the sky he noticed that the sky was turning a very lovely pinky colour, "Do you want to stay out here to watch the sunset or are you tired?"

After taking another puff on the cigar and handed it back to him, you said you wanted to see it. He agreed and pulled up a big tire and placed it on the ground, you both sat on it and watched the sun set.

Now and again you'd take a few puffs on the cigar you both shared, watching as the pink sky faded into beautiful purples and blues. You wished you had your camera to take this precious moment and keep it forever. Unfortunately the moment didn't last long as it slowly transitioned to the night.

Stars twinkled and shine against the black canvas of the night sky, you two started talking about how beautiful the stars where and how gorgeous they where.

Karl started showing you the different constellations you saw, telling you about what they represent. He explained that when he was a lot younger people believed the stars would tell the future about one's destiny.

You just listed in awe as he explained the science behind stars, what they're made of and other random trivia about space. You asked how he knew so much and explained that his mother used to talk all about it when he was a child and his it was fascinating to him.

So you two sat their all night talking about your pasts and your families. It was cool that you both had a bit in common with eachother, especially when you thought that you two where extreme opposites from eachother. But still a of differences to make you tow opposites.

And you know what they say about opposites?

Opposites attract.
