FLUKE
"Finally, we are all here. We've been waiting for it for so long. The release of their movie was postponed due to some unexpected incidents." I heard the talk show host say. "Please all welcome, the lead actors of the movie, Still the One, Ohm Thitiwat, and Samantha Coates."
I saw Ohm and Sammy smiling happily in front of the camera. My husband looked so handsome and calm. Who would've thought that he was the same person who didn't want to leave my side this morning? If only New didn't call him and threatened him to hide me from him, he wouldn't. I couldn't wait for him to return and pepper him with kisses.
Today, Ohm and Sammy had a guesting on the talk show broadcast nationwide. They had already had the press conference for the movie yesterday, but they had some guest appearances on TV and radio shows.
I brought my laptop to the living area, so I could watch him while I was working.
"How does it feel that in just a few days, your movie will be seen by your fans?"
"We are so excited to show everyone the masterpiece we'd worked for," Ohm said.
"You know what Ms. Ploy, everyone worked hard for this just to give all movie enthusiasts something beautiful, and full of emotions kind of story," Sammy added.
"This was based on the novel, right?"
"Yes, it is," Ohm said. "Have you read the book, yet?"
"I started it last night." The host said, "If only I didn't have work today, I wouldn't stop reading it. I was getting into the most exciting part!" She exclaimed. "I would definitely finish it after my work."
"Oh. That's so sweet. I need to tell Ohm to thank her." I mumbled to myself as I reached for my phone to send a message to my husband.
"There were some changes in the flow of the story and some additions to make it better," Sammy stated.
"Oh. . . I really have to watch the movie then." The host said.
"Yes. Don't worry because our scriptwriter is the author of the novel, too." Ohm explained proudly.
"That's great! So for those who have read the novel, you better watch the movie because there were some more to look forward to." The host said. "You know what, I am a new fan of Fluke. He kinda amazed me with how he wrote his stories. I think he wants his readers to feel all the emotions of every character he made in the book. Such an amazing talent he got there." I saw Ohm smiling from ear to ear as he heard the host's complement. "Let's talk more about the movie."

I listened to them as they continue to talk about the movie and the production. I continued revising some of the chapters I finished.
Then a shriek from the host made me look at the TV again.
"Oh my goodness, Sammy!" The host exclaimed. "That's an engagement ring!"
Sammy happened to fix her hair and the host saw her engagement ring. Yes, Ohm's brother proposed to her when we were still in Iceland. It was during the reception of our wedding when P' Boston popped the question and asked her for marriage.
"Uhm. . . yes." She was smiling shyly.
"That's so beautiful, Sammy." The host said. "So the rumors are true?"
Ohm and Sammy looked at her with curiosity in their eyes. Even I was curious about the rumors that she was saying.
"Congratulations, you two. This ring looks so beautiful and expensive, Ohm." She said as she was looking at Sammy's ring.
"Huh?!" Both Ohm and Sammy said in unison.
"You both are engaged now. Congratulations." She said smiling.
"Oh. . . no. . . no. . . You got it mistaken." Sammy immediately said. "I am engaged, but not with Ohm. Where did you get the idea?" She asked and chuckled.
"Oh. . . really?" Ohm and Sammy nodded. "But there were a lot of articles that came out when your whole family, Ohm, left the country. You were with Sammy, too." She started, "Then fans speculated that Sammy was the one you were telling in the video you posted on IG."
"Oh, the video in which Ohm said he was not an eligible bachelor anymore?" Sammy asked and the host answered yes. "That's not me. I know a lot of people know that Ohm and I are best friends since when we were still kids. We love each other, but only until there. We never go beyond friendship."
"Yes, that's true." Ohm agreed.
"Then who are you engaged with?"
"I am engaged to Ohm's older brother." Sammy proudly said. "We're gonna be real family now."
"Wow! Congratulations to you." The host said. "So who was the one you mentioned in the video, Ohm? Did you just say that to stop the issue of you and that young actress?"
My husband took a deep breath and smiled. I was also waiting for his answer.
"My brother proposed to Sammy. . . during the reception. . . of my wedding." He stated. He raised his hand to show his ring to the camera. "Yes, I am married and I am hoping my fans would understand my decision not to tell them right away. I just want to protect my Baby from some hurtful words others might say."

The camera spanned to the host who was already tearing up. "Aww. . . That's wonderful. I know your fans want you to be happy. If that person was the one that makes you happy, then they won't do anything to take your happiness from you." She said. "So you mean to say you got married outside of the country?"
"Yes." Ohm simply said.
"Congratulations and best wishes to you, too."
"Thank you so much."
"Whew! I invited you here to ask you about the movie, I didn't expect that I would get more from you. I am so honored that you share some of your personal life with me." She said. "Invite everyone to watch your movie."
"Yes, thank you. Ohm and I would like to invite you to watch Still the One. It will be showing this coming Wednesday."
"Our premiere night will be held on Tuesday," Ohm added. "I can assure you that you will never regret watching this movie. Thank you, everyone. Hope to see you in theaters."
"I'm so excited for this." The host said. "The novel was already exciting for me, what more if the characters come to life? Thank you Ohm and Sammy for joining us today. This has been your host, Ms. Ploy. See you again next week for more exciting talk! Goodbye!"
The camera was still rolling and the three of them were talking. Their mics were still on and I even heard my husband telling Ms. Ploy, "My Baby said thank you for reading his book."
Ms. Ploy, on the other hand, was so shocked and covered her mouth. Then the show ended.
I wondered what her reactions were if she learned that Ohm was married to a man. I should ask him about it when he arrived.

"Baby. . ." I heard a whisper in my ear. "Baby, wake up."
I opened my eyes and smiled. His hair was still wet from his shower. I didn't realize I had fallen asleep. I opened my arms wide and my husband hovered over me and pulled me on my waist. Then he laid on his back and took me. I was literally on top of him.
"You've taken a shower," I stated the obvious and he nodded. "What time did you arrive?"
"About twenty minutes ago. I went straight to your office, thinking you were still working, but you weren't there. When I saw you sleeping soundly, I did not want to wake you up yet so I took a shower first." He explained and kissed me on the lips. "Have you eaten?" I shook my head lazily and leaned my chin on his chest. "Why haven't you? It's already nine."
"I thought you would be back already, so I just laid here reading the comments of your fans about your announcement of marriage." I smiled at him.
He brushed my hair with his fingers and said, "Did you see any negative comments?"
I nodded. "A few. There are more positive ones. But I didn't get to read more, I think because I fell asleep." I smiled sheepishly.
I really didn't mind what other people would say. Ohm always assured me that as long as we had love and trust for each other, we would face all obstacles in our lives. Those negative comments from people were one of those obstacles, I guessed, to test us. To know how we would handle a situation like this.
Ohm held my arm to pull me up a little more, so we could be face to face. "I love you, Baby. Don't read anymore. But if you want to read the comments, we have to do it together, okay?"
I nodded in response and leaned down for a kiss. I intended to give him just a peck, but he held my nape and pulled me even closer, and made our kiss longer. He kissed me passionately. I didn't even notice I was already lying on my back and he was on top of me. His hand was already inside my shirt, exploring every part of my body with it.
A loud grumble sound stopped him from continuing. I smiled shyly at him as I breathed some air. "Sorry, Baby. I think I am really hungry now."
He chuckled and said, "Let's put some food in here," He touched my tummy and was about to get up when I stopped him.
"Wait, Baby." he looked at me waiting for what I was about to say. "Do you think we should post something to formally announce our marriage?"
"I would love that. But. . . would you be okay with that? We can't please everyone. There will be positive and negative comments for sure." He looked really worried.
I caressed his cheek and smiled, "We can face whatever it is as long as we're together, right?"
"Yes, Baby." He smiled proudly.
He carried me to the dining so we could eat while we composed what he would post on his Instagram. We wanted to make it simple. No more explanations. He told me that we didn't need to explain everything to everyone because it was our lives. And I agreed on that. They didn't have a say in our lives because it was ours.
And so we posted a picture of the two of us with a caption:
