"Jeon, we don't have time. Let's go!" I shout, impatiently tapping my foot against the floor. It had been an hour and Jungkook still hadn't found the gun.
"I got it! I got it!" He shouts, running out of Jin's room.
I smile. When I look at his hands, I expect to see a small gun. Instead, I see a large duffel bag, and my eyebrows furrow. "Where's the gun?"
He lifts his hand up, clutching the duffel bag tightly. "There's not just a gun. There's hooks, rope, bullets, throwing knives.. also like many different types of guns. I wonder why Jin Hyung had all this stuff.."
I walk over to him, grabbing the duffel bag and setting it down on the small coffee table in Jungkook's living room. I rummage through it, and, sure enough, there are many many things inside. I nod, "This can be useful. Bring all of it."
I close the zip, handing the bag to Jungkook. "Let's get a move on."
Jungkook groans. "Why do I have to carry all the bags?! I think I'm a very big part of this mission too. The dog should carry em."
"Pardon? No thank you. My tiny body isn't built for that type of labour. Also, I am quite sure that would count as animal abuse. I might have to report that." Bruno replies.
"Report it to who?" Jungkook says in a mock tone, a smirk forming on his face.
"Okay there's no time for this. Let's head out, I'm driving." I say, leaving the house.
-
I sit in the car, throwing my duffel bag in the back seat. Bruno hops in the back as well, sitting quickly. Jungkook gets in soon after, setting his backpack in the back seat too. "How are we gonna do this again?" He asks, sighing.

I turn the engine on, looking towards him. "We'll drive in shifts, I'll cover the first eight hours. It's gonna take a few days, so to reduce the amount of time it's gonna take, we won't be making any stops. Did y'all go to the toilet before you came?"
Jungkook rolls his eyes. "I can hold it."
Bruno tilts his head. "I went before we came."
Both Jungkook and I turn around, facing Bruno. "Where?"
Bruno sticks his tongue out. "Living room carpet."
Jungkook and I freeze, staring at each other. He turns back to Bruno. "Which house?"
Bruno chuckles. "Both of them."
"UGHHHH" Jungkook and I groan at the same time.
I start driving.
-
After four hours, I could easily say that this was the worst road trip of my life. Jungkook wasn't doing anything, Bruno fell asleep, and I was left driving on the empty road. It was around 9 pm, and even though it was still early, I couldn't help but feel tired.
"Can I ask you a question?" I jump slightly, eyes flying to Jungkook for a quick second before focusing back on the road.
"Yeah, what is it?" I reply, casually.
"Did you ever like Jin Hyung?"
I blush furiously at his words, my grip on the wheel tightening. "What kind of question is that?"
Jungkook sits up in his seat, eyes not leaving my face. "When I first moved in, you would send a lot of stuff over. Cookies, brownies. They were really good, but I guess they were meant for Hyung, since you didn't know I lived there too at the time."
I look towards him for a second, and he continues, "Once, you came over with chocolate chip cookies. I remember I used to get super excited whenever the doorbell would ring, cause the things you made would just be so good." I blush at this statement. "Anyways, this was the first time I had seen you. When Hyung opened the door, I actually saw you for the first time. And I remember how you looked at Hyung, with a totally red face. Your hands would be slightly shaking whenever you would hand him the stuff. I found it hilarious. Yeah, so that's why I assumed you like him."

I sigh, my face returning to its natural colour. I bite the inside of my cheek before sighing. "Yeah I liked him. A lot," I turn over to see a reaction, and I watched as Jungkook's expression changed instantly. His eyes were wide and his mouth was slightly opened.
I continue, "Liked, past tense. I really looked up to him as a person because when I first moved into the neighbourhood, he would always take care of me. The only people I genuinely liked were him and Lisa. And now you I guess. You're alright too."
I watch as he smiles slightly, looking down at his feet.
I sigh, "And I guess you like Lisa, huh?"
His eyes fly open, head swinging back to look me in the face. "How- how did you know?"
I snicker under my breath. "It's so obvious. Plus, Lisa told me about your confession. To say I was shocked would be an understatement."
Jungkook groans loudly, hands rubbing his face roughly. "I don't like her anymore."
I roll my eyes. "That's such a lie, oh my god. You still like her, and I get why. She's amazing. She's pretty, smart, funny, and everything a guy would want. Honestly, being her friend is such a challenge. It's so hard to match up to her standards. I mean, look at me. I don't even look like I could be her best friend. It's hilarious if you think about it."
Jungkook shakes his head, "You're amazing too, you know."
I shake my head. "If only you knew, Jeon."
His eyebrows furrow, and he looks back in front.
I can feel my eyes slowly get heavier. It's become painful to stay awake at this point. It's been six hours since we first set out, so I really hope I can make it to eight.
"Stop the car, let me drive. You need to rest." I hear Jungkook say. I shake my head slowly, blinking fast. "No, it's fine. I'm fine,"
He rolls his eyes, looking right at me. "It's a matter of life and death, Y/N, stop the car and get out now."
I sigh, agreeing. I pull over, breaking and undoing my seatbelt. I get out, running over to the other side. Jungkook does the same.
He sits in the driver's seat, and I sit in my seat, immediately pulling my seatbelt on.
Before I knew it, my eyes were giving out on me.
Before I fall asleep fully, I hear Jungkook whisper, "You're really messing me up, you know that?"
My eyes close fully and my head falls to the side.
