"Is something wrong ? I know you wouldn't barge into my office without a reason. Just say it out loud.""

Levi's breath sharpens as Hanji throws the question.

"Why are you all pissed off huh ?"

"There's something I don't want to be taken away from me." He grunts, resting an arm over his eyes as he slumps into the chair across from the crazy brunette.

She shrugs, "of course, no. Never in your life. Not Ms. (L/n)."

Levi grunts even more.

'Ms. (L/n)'

Then something clicked in his mind, the man immediately sat up straight and glared at his friend, "what nonsense are you talking about, shitty glasses ? This isn't about Ms. (L/n)-"

"Enough already, you pussy ! How long are you going to hide the fact that you like her, huh ?!" Hanji hollered, "why can't you just trust me and confide in me already ? Come on, say it like a man !!"

Levi gaped upon her sudden outburst, "I don't like-"

"LIKE A DAMN MAN, LEVI !!"

"I said-"

"DON'T GIVE ME THOSE EXCUSES ! Just go and get her now !!" She stabs his nose with her index finger, "you two can't just keep on flirting forever."

He blinked, "flirt ?"

"Duh ! What else, then ? You both have feelings for each other, but you're not dating ? Tell me, is there another word to replace 'flirt' here ?"

The vice president hung his head low. It's all too much for him to take in. He's.. kinda new to these kinds of feelings, but he somehow always acts to claim her as his even though (Y/n) always tries to run away. Plus, there's Zeke, who makes this 'love' situation worse.

"Go."

Levi raises his head, "huh ?"

"Go and tell her how you feel and win her heart," she inhales deeply before barking at Levi again, "because you're Levi Ackerman for Christ's sake ! You're that tenacious asshole who's always had what he wanted, whether it's a thing or a person !"

"Did you just say 'asshole' ?" He growled.

Instinctively, Hanji raises up her hands, "l-let's forget I said that... Anyway, go for it !" She pumps her hand in the air a little to cheer him up.

---- Meanwhile with Zeke and (Y/n)----

"Thanks for helping me remember some things from our past."

(Y/n) smiles lightly, "Ah, no- it's my pleasu-"

She sends him an apologetic smile before fishing out her phone and answering the call, "Hello ?"

"What ?" The secretary tensed up beside Zeke, "an emergency, sir ??"

After hearing the said situation, Zeke insists on driving her back to the Ackerman Company since taking a bus is not an option. It'll take too long to get to the office. She then gladly accepts his offer.

The blonde stops his car in front of the lobby, where Levi's already waiting there.

"You didn't have to drive her here yourself." He said, glaring sharply at Zeke while (Y/n) made her way to stand beside her boss.

Zeke smirks, "oh, but I can't do that. You see, I'm a gentleman."

"Then I'd like you to leave like one." Levi gritted out, "because we're busy. There's been an emergency."

The other man strokes his beard, "your company sure had many emergencies today. Is it because the Oh So Great Vice President is so inefficient ?"

"It's actually the opposite, Jaeger."

Hearing enough of their quarreling, (Y/n) quickly puts a stop before these two get fired up even more, "you should get going, Zeke. I know you're busy too. We can proceed another time."

"Alright, I'll call you later ."

She actually was a bit taken back, yet she managed to keep her composure, "okay, take care then."

'First name basis ? Darling ?!' Levi wants to slice up every part of Zeke at this very moment as he flares up in anger. 

Zeke then drove away, leaving the two on the scene.

Levi takes this opportunity to strike his secretary with questions, "'darling' ?? You find it so easy to be called like that ?"

"Not your business, sir. Anyways, let's go-"

"Actually, there's no need," He stops her from entering the building, "I'm hungry. Cook me ramen. "

Her eyes twitched, "Just what the hell are you sayin-"

"Do you forget who I am ? I'm the final decision maker for all of Ackerman Company's affairs and hold all responsibilities. My decisions can influence the ten of thousands of workers here and their families too."

"Uh... so ?"

"And now I can't concentrate, because of ramen. Is there a bigger emergency than this ?" He crosses his arms, puffing his cheeks slightly.

Without hesitation, (Y/n) copies his movements while glaring at him daringly. Crossing her arms across her chest angrily.

He wants ramen right ?

Fine.

Levi looks down in disgust, losing his appetite as a full course ramen set is neatly arranged before him. From ramen, rice, and other luxurious side dishes. He then glanced up from the food, eyeing his secretary, "this isn't the ramen I wanted."

"And this isn't the situation I wanted either." (Y/n) glared back at her boss.

She sighs, "why do you keep interrupting me and Zeke ? You'd pop out whenever I was with him. If that's not interrupting, then what is it ?"

Silence..

"I know that things aren't so good with your old acquaintance, but there are things I want to know about my past-"

"Put your past behind you."

(Y/n) frowns in disagreement, "what ?"

"People need to look to the future. How long are you going to be tied down by your past ? Is what's gone by so important to you ? More important than how your crush feels about it ?" Levi retorted with an emotionless face.

Her lips twitched a bit, "....c-crush ?"

"Yes, your crush." He clarified, "Though it's the most frivolous word out there, it's that word where there's no equivalent to replace it."

"W-wait, hold on-"

"You like me, and I like you. So we're crushing on each other, aren't we ?"

"Sir-"

"You admit it too, don't you ?" He asked bluntly, "that we're flirting with each other." Levi strikes again. He really gave her no space to say no. The vice president has cornered her with his... bold and blunt words.

(Y/n) gaped like a fish, but Levi started to speak again, "Now what ? A boy you've been desperately looking for ? A forgotten past you want to know about ? Is this manners for your crush, Ms. (L/n) ?"

"What are you talking ab-"

"Here are your dumplings, sir, ma'am." A waitress suddenly interrupted her as she put the order down, which (Y/n) thanked for.

She clears her throat, "I don't think this is the place to have this kind of conversation."

"You're the one who brought us to this place, brat."

"You said you wanted ramen !" (Y/n) protested.

"I said I want to cook me ramen. But instead you brought me to this restaurant. I can just buy this whole place if I want to. is what I'm craving for."

'Oh my god help me....'

(Y/n) storms out of Levi's car as he drives her home, heading inside her apartment as quickly as possible. But then he catches up to her, running. Levi then stops in front of his irritated secretary

"Ms. (L/n)," he looks her in the eye, "I'm rich, I'm smart, and I'm also competent, so..."

He takes a deep breath.

"Stop resisting already, and just marry me."

But now, (Y/n) looks unfazed, 'ah... this damn weird confession again.. really ?' she thought.

"This time is different when I asked you to marry me or date me. I only said so because I didn't want you to quit. But not now. I really mean it, this time.. So let's call this crush thing quits.. and start dating."

They exchange stares, seeming lost in each other's eyes as Levi just finished his confession. For once, this one sounds more.. sincere, compared to the previous ones.

(Y/n) smiles, "nope, I don't think we should."

"Tch ? But aren't we at that stage ?"

"Technically, yes we are." she politely replies.

He ran his hand through his raven locks, "then why can't you just date me already ?"

"I don't want to start a relationship with words that were fired on by jealousy and your competitive spirit. This mood, this whole situation.... ."

Levi choked.

"What..?! Say that again, I dare you brat."

"Anyway, I don't think now's the right timing," his secretary bowed, "I'll be going now."

(Y/n) skips on her steps, running off to her apartment in a bit of a hurry, leaving the frustrated vice president who hasn't moved an inch.

"Oi, now is the right time for me !" Levi protested from his place, "right now !! Oi !"

But (Y/n) doesn't heed his words as she enters the apartment and closes the door on him.

Still standing outside, defeated, Levi scrunches up his nose and sighs.
