《Marvel One-Shots》That's One Way to Tell You

Peter had been patrolling pretty late that night. He had stopped a couple muggings and a few attempts at small robberies. He really did love being Spider-Man and even though he felt guilty, he couldn't tell his parents. They would freak. He was supposed to be the perfect son who always stayed safe but that wasn't him.
Peter had been thinking about telling them multiple times in the last few months but couldn't bring himself to do it, he knew they would take away his suit. You may not have guessed it yet, but his parents were Tony Stark and Steve Rodgers. He was adopted when he was 4 after all his family members were killed in a car accident, him being the only survivor.
Then when he was 15, he got bit by that stupid spider giving him the powers that made him Spider-Man. His life literally couldn't get any weirder. His family was the Avengers so he already lived in a house full of craziness. He was surprised his Aunt Nat hadn't figured it out. Whenever he came home with bruises, he would say some kid bullied him. They always believed him, even if they didn't like the answer.
Peter was shaken out of this thoughts when he heard a loud scream come from the alley a few streets away. Yeah, his spider sense was tingling but he pushed it aside. It had been acting up all day. He say a woman crying at the edge of the alley and quickly ran up to her, "Mrs? Are you alright?"
She looked up at him with a sad face but her eyes told a completely different story "...yeah. Thanks. I just wish we didn't have to do this." Peter tilted his head in confusion. 'What the heck is she talking about?' Peter opened his mouth to ask what she meant when he felt and agonizing pain erupt in his side. He turned around and saw a man, grinning and a gun pointing at him. This man shot him. He had been shot. Shot. 'Crap.' Peter put up his wrist to web up the guy when another pain erupted into his leg. 'Oh my gods. Please no.' Peter whimpered when he saw the women that he had "saved" had also had a gun.

"Hey, sorry about that. But we have orders. Knock him out."
Peter really did not want to be kidnapped so instead he took his remaining strength and swung towards the tower. "Ka..ren?" 'Peter. You have been shot twice, I really recommend medical hel-' "Karen..lock..my mask..." he said. He felt the familiar slight tightening of his mask showing that it could now not be taken off unless absolutely necessary. The last thing Peter remembered was knocking on a large window and screams from the inside.

Tony was getting worried. It was 10pm and Peter still hadn't come home. All the Avengers were currently in the sofa room waiting for his arrival. Tony could tell Steve was worried too, but said nothing.
"Maybe the kid finally went to a party, maybe met a girl". Clint suggested. He was going to say more but stopped when he saw the death glares he got. He silenced himself again.
They had been sitting there for another 30 minutes when a loud thud hit the window on the right side of the tower. There, in all his glory was Spider-Man.
Wanda perked up at the young hero's appearance considering they had become close friends but instantly felt the fear he did. She ran up to the window and screamed when she saw the blood running down his body. She couldn't lose another friend.
" FRIDAY! OPEN THE WINDOW NOW!" Stark yelled.
Friday quickly opened the window as Cap and Wanda pulled the young hero inside. Bruce ran over and looked for a pulse, finding a faint one. He quickly recorded the hero's injuries before calling Vision to pick up the man and run him down to the infirmary. Wanda felt Nat come from behind and hold her close, she hadn't realized that she had been crying. All the Avengers watched in horror as blood trailed down the hall.

Bruce came out of the infirmary 2 hours later, exhausted with all the work he just did. He almost jumped out of his skin when Wanda grabbed him by the shoulders, "Is be okay? Please, I can't lose another brother". Bruce nodded to her and smiled when he saw her relax. "Let's go tell the others." He suggested and they walked to the lounge.
"How's the kid?"
"What the hell happened to him"
"Is he dead?"
Bruce had a hard time trying to answer all
these questions but was able to calm the Avengers down with one raise of his hand.
"He's fine, he got shot twice but I was able to stop the bleeding. Wanda? You can seen him."
Bruce said. Wanda had been pacing around for the entirety of the surgery so when she heard those words she quickly ran to Spider-Man's room.
"Spider-Man?" Wanda called out.
"Wanda?" He answered.
Wanda reaches out and grabbed his hand, she still felt fear, for what she did not know. "Spider-Man? Can I?" She pointed to his head.
He nodded, Peter knew they would find out one way or another. Wanda placed her hand on his head and shut her eyes, Peter made sure to think of family memories, ones with her that only he would remember. Her eyes opened in shock and fear.
"Peter?" She asked, a slight tremble to her voice.
"Yeah, Karen release mask".
Peter pulled off his mask and saw that Wanda's eyes were tearing up.
"Hey, hey, it's okay. I'm okay now. Sorry sis". He said sheepishly.
"How did I not know? I'm supposed to protect you!" She yelled.
With all the commotion coming inside the room, the other Avengers ran in to see Spider-Man, no Peter laying on the bed hugging a crying Wanda.
"Ah, young Stark-Rodgers, welcome home! Now where is the man of spiders?"
"Thor. Your and idiot. Spider-Man is Peter".
Peter winced when he saw his parents faces. His dad(Tony) had a face of shock, anger, and pride, while his pops(Steve) had a face of fear and disappointment.
"Peter why didn't you tell us?" Steve asked.
"I didn't want you to take away my suit. I know how you guys are all protective of me and this is what I love to do."
"Peter, we aren't going to take the suit away, but your still grounded. Very grounded." Tony said.
"Yeah. I expected that." Peter replied with a small laugh.
They all talked about Peter's power and how great he had done over the past year as Spider-Man, even though some of the stories had frowns on some of the faces around him.
That early morning, Friday took a photo of all the Avengers sleeping around Peter's bed, protecting the little spider who stole they're heart so many years ago.
