Yun Xie's face contorted instantly when translucent boxes suddenly appeared in front of her face. "System, what's the meaning of this?" She asked, whispering.
These should've shown earlier when she was in action. Why did it only show now?
"System apologizes. System lagged a bit so they were delayed."
Her system can also lag? Nevermind it, systems lag. Why fuss about it? What's important right now was to discover whether what she was thinking is right.
Growl...
That sound. After those years living in an apocalyptic world, Yun Xie can never forget the sounds they made everytime they see prey ready to be eaten.
Suddenly, a loud bang was heard and noisy shuffles followed because of the leaves that were forcefully pushed by a heavy weight.
Yun Xie did not waste anymore time and quickly jumped off the tree silently. She was sure. Although it was very early for zombies to appear, she can never let it escape from this forest. What if it could victimize another person? And then, and then...
They would spread.
Man! She didn't take her supplies yet from her garage! Could they wait until tomorrow?
Waiting behind the huge trunk of tree where the growling was getting louder and louder, Yun Xie was already in a fighting stance with her sword on her right hand. Surely, this zombie was headed straight to where she was hiding.

"Seriously!" Then a man's angry shout echoed through the forest. The man was lucky that he avoided Yun Xie's wooden sword that could potentially be regarded as his grim reaper.
(A/Nonsense: What's that, wooden reaper? Or a grim reaper who uses a wooden sword instead of a scythe? Lol.)
Although it was avoided, as Yun Xie's wooden sword was focused on his head, the unknown guy still has a scratch visible on his left cheek. Second by second, its color changed and turned into a bruise.
Yun Xie was shocked speechless. With furrowed brows and an intense gaze, another hit was coming towards the guy's head with quick moves.
Danger!
"You're crazy!" He tried avoiding it but to no avail. The wooden sword nearing his vision made his heart thump hard. If this wooden sword reached him, it would undoubtedly kill him off.
Finally, Yun Xie stopped her movements before even reaching the pitiful guy. Mm! She's now sure that he is not a zombie, but what was that sound earlier?
"Have you heard any growling sounds?" She asked in a flat tone. The pretty guy opened his eyes from being shut close and heaved a relieved sigh.
He answered, his mind still in disarray. "Were you talking about my stomach..?"
