Adrian pov*

"I have to go.....I can't stay here" I said to Erin

"No you are not in condition to go anywhere Sir"

"Erin I feel like... like I am suffocating here I...I need to...to go somewhere" I said standing up removing my tie and walking to my desk with rambling feet. I took my keys, phone and made my way to the elevator.

"Sir please you can't go" I heard Erin say before the elevator's doors close

Once in my car I clenched my fists on the steering wheel and hit my head against it crying my heart out. After a moment I picked myself up and wipe my face and started the car.

When I arrived at the bottom of the building I run to reach the apartment. I knocked like crazy and she opened the door and I just jumped on her arms and hugged her tight.

"Adrian! What happened? Why are you like this?"

I didn't reply, I hugged her more and sobbed

"Talk to me Adrian why are crying?"

"I have ruined everything" I said

"What are you talking about?" She said getting out of me and looking in my eyes with worry

"What... what I will do now?"

"For God sake Adrian tell me exactly what do you mean" She shouted

"Elissa she was... She was innocent. I... I oh my God I can't even tell it I falsely accused her!"

Hailey stared at me with wide eyes realizing the reason of my condition.

"Ok... Ok come inside" She finally said

I lifted my face to see that Jeff was also here looking at me with pity.

"Jeff bring him water please" Hailey said

I gulped the glass and let myself fall on the couch under their eyes.

"Now tell me why you finally convinced of her innocence" Hailey started crossing her arms on her chest and glaring at me with cold eyes

I told them everything and Hailey was beyond furious because she always knew that Elissa was faithful to me but didn't expect Tanya's implication. And who can blame her, she managed to coax us all.

"This bitch...I never liked her anyway I felt something wrong about her and now I know why"

"I can't believe it how she can do such a terrible thing" Jeff said passing his hand in his hair

"I will kill this bitch where is she do you confront her?" Hailey asked shouting

"No she is on vacation"

Hailey sighed hard and sat on the couch next to me and said

"I don't want to say it but we all told you this before but you didn't listen"

"I was... I was completely blinded by jealousy that I didn't give her a chance. I was already convinced by her culpability that I didn't listen I am sorry so so sorry" I said between tears my face in my hands

Nobody spoke for a long minutes. I stood up and kneeled in front of my sister

"Tell me Hailey what will I do now help me"

"I can't help you Adrian you really fucked up so I don't think there is something to do"

"But I can't live without her now"

"Of course you can you did that for almost 5 years" She mocked

I looked at her with sad eyes and got up not knowing what to answer

"Hailey "Jeff said

"What" She snapped

"I am not wrong, just because he knows the truth now don't give him the right to say that" Hailey said to Jeff angrily

"I know I am wrong but everyone deserve a second chance" I said

She held her belly and laughed so loud

"A second chance!!! Oh Adrian you are so funny you know that"

After a moment she spoke again coming towards me and tapping me with her finger on my chest

"Did you give Elissa a chance back then? Did you think twice when you kicked her out? Did you listen to her when she tried to speak to you? Did you have any remorse when you divorced her?" she yelled

"I....."

"No listen you don't know what she went through all this years, how she suffered. So don't speak with me about second chance or shit!"

"Hailey calm down baby" Jeff said holding her from behind

She is right I made a great mistake, I should have trust her but we can't change the present and we can't go back but we can always change our future.

"I know exactly what I did Hailey but..."

She cut me again

"There is no but Adrian what you did was unforgivable. You are my brother and I have to support you but as a woman I can't do this" Hailey sighed hard and added

"So the one advice I can give you now it's to leave her alone"

"I can't do this Hailey anything but not this" I said

"You already do a lot Adrian so don't add to her misery"

"I think it's to Elissa to decide this" Jeff spoke

"Elissa finally begins to move on Jeff and you know this and Adrian coming back in her life will be just a return to square one"

What begin to move on what that means?!

"What do you mean by move on Hailey?"

"It's not your business!" She snapped

I looked at Jeff but he just looked away. Great everybody is against me.

"Just leave her alone ok" Hailey said

I nodded what can I say Hailey is right I already ruin her so maybe it's the time for me to stay back and assume the result of my actions. All of this is my fault I am the one to blame.

I made my way to the door when I stopped in front of a photo frame placed on the entrance cabinet. My eyes widened when I saw a photo of Hailey with a little boy having the same grey eyes as mine. He is so cute and apart of his eyes he is the copy of Elissa. I turned around to find Hailey and Jeff looking at me with sadness.

"Is he.... Is he..." I couldn't even tell it

"Yes Adrian he is" Hailey replied

I looked at the photo again; I couldn't stop my tears for falling. My son lived years without me and especially I lived without him. I didn't see his first teeth, his first steps, his first words, his first day in this world I missed all. All because of my stupidity and arrogance.

I took the photo frame and barged of the apartment to my car. I need to stay alone.
