Manik's POV

We all came back to Delhi. I called up my beautiful girl friend the moment I came back to my room, but her phone was not reachable.

I was dying to meet her but could not afford to go to her place like that.

What if her mom shoots me??

So I waited for her to call me. The phone rang but it was Shlok.

" Hey, man!! It is so good to know that you are back. Raj texted all of us. We all are happy... But why have you asked Sujal to keep a party with all the kids?? " He asked.

" It would be fun... We all always party alone. But its new year and we all should be together. So that we are not worried about the well being of our sisters. I don't want Mahi to go out alone with his friends... You know how they all are... Carefree. " I argued.

" But then that irritating girl would also be there. I swear, I don't know what is her problem but she is always trying to poke me and then Shaurya gets annoyed with her too. And they both keep fighting. " Shlok said.

Oh, God!! They have been fighting since we were children.

" I know... But I have my own reasons for what I am doing... I want you to co-operate with me. Please, Shlok, I am already upset... My whole life is getting upside down. " I didn't realise what was I saying.

" What?? What happened?? " He asked his voice full of concern.

" Oh, nothing!! " I tried to avoid talking about it. But Shlok was persistent.

" No, there is something... Did anything happen recently that you are upset about? " He asked again.

" Look, there are few things that are bothering me. I don't know what to do... But there is no escape route. I am still trying to understand everything. " I said.

" Manik!! What are you talking about? Tell me what happened?"

" I will tell all of you. But let me tell you just one thing that I want to enjoy to the fullest in the next one week. Because I am not going to get that chance, anytime soon. " I said.

" What are saying?? One week?? You are not going to get a chance anytime soon?? Are you all right? You are scaring me. What happened?? " He asked so many questions all of a sudden.

" Nothing!! I am just upset that so many things are to be done... How would I manage to do everything in one week? " I said.

I had to wind up from here and so back... What about my life here?? What about her?? I haven't even told my friends. How would they react? How would she react?? Would I be able to convince her for a long distance relationship?

Hell!!

"..... Manik??" I realised that I was still on phone with Shlok.

" Sorry, I was a bit preoccupied. I need to go, have too many errands to run. Will catch you later. " I said.

" Wait!! There seems to be a big problem... I am coming to meet you. " Shlok said but I refused.

" Let it be... I am busy. " I said.

" I don't care!! I am coming. You better tell me your problem or I will irritate you to hell. You know how persistent I am. " He said.

" Fine!! Come! "

In about thirty minutes, he was standing in my room.

" Tell me what is going on?? What one week were you mumbling about? " He asked after he embraced me.

" Ok!! I have to shift to Surat..." I said and he was shocked.

" What?? Why? " He asked before I could finish the sentence. And I told him every thing. He looked very shocked.

" You would have to settle down there?? Like for ever?? No!!! " He said.

" I can't help it. I have to do packing and the problem is... I don't want to leave all of you here and... " I got a bit emotional.

" And?? There is more?? " He asked.

" Er... Ummm... I haven't told all of you about something. " I was trying to tell him about her but he was still shocked.

" What have you done? " He asked with one of his eyebrows raised.

" I proposed to someone I like for long... " I was saying but he almost jumped.

What was he doing?? He was not behaving like himself, was over excited.

" What??? And?? Did she accept? Of course, she must have... Who is she? " He asked.

" Calm down, Shlok... What's wrong with you?? Why are you so excited? "

" Tell me what happened? You proposed and... ?? " He asked.

" Well, she accepted... "

" Yes!!!! Oh, my God!! You have a girl friend, now? Who is she?? Is she hot?? " He asked.

I looked at him carefully and realised that it was not Shlok, it was his twin Shaurya.

I knew it... He was too impatient. While shlok was very patient. He would not have cut my each sentence in half.

" Shaurya?? What are you doing here playing pranks with me? " I asked.

" What?? I am Shlok. " He said

" You are not behaving like him. You are behaving like you. So shut up!! I am already too irritated. Don't start... " I said with an irritated expression.

" Ok, sorry!! Shlok was coming but mom told him to go somewhere else urgently. It was related to their work so I could not go. Anyway, you can share with me. " He said.

"No!! "

" I am hurt!! I am your friend too. " He yelled.

" But not mature enough to understand my problem and help me in solving it. So go and leave me alone. " I said bluntly.

" That's not fair... Tell me or I will group call all of them and announce that you have a girl friend now. " He said.

" Don't you dare or I will break your jaw. " I clenched my fist.

" Hey! Don't punch on my handsome face... You know how many girls are crazy about my handsome looks. Punch me anywhere else." He said.

Idiot!!!

" Get lost! " I said.

" First tell me about the girl, I am sure I must be knowing her, I can tell you a lot about her. See, I am not going before you tell. Me. " He said.

" A hypothetical question... If you know that one of your friends is having an affair with your sister... How would you... " I was saying but Shaurya already pounced at me.

" What?? Don't tell me!! I will beat you to pulp! How dare you??" He caught my collar and was about to punch me very hard.

" Wait!!! It's none of your sisters... I swear. " I said.

" Good for you!! But then why did you ask me that? " He glared.

" Because she is from our family group. How am I going to face her brothers? They are our friends... I am sure their reactions are going to be like yours only. " I said with a tense face.

" Brothers?? Their reactions? Who is the girl?? Roohi?? " He was shocked.

" No!! "

" Are you sure not one of my sisters??" He glared at me.

" Of course, I know, who my girlfriend is... Don't be stupid. I wish Shlok had come or I had recognised you before I said anything. " I said.

" Oh!! Ok, I got it... She is hot!! Too good... If I didn't flirt with her, it was only because I would not like my friend to hit on my sister. You are in a hot soup man. " He said.

" Thanks, for the confirmation. " I said sarcastically.

" Any thing for you, bro! All the best... Tell me if you need my help. But don't ask me to have punches on your behalf or talk to her brothers and calm down them. Because... I would have beaten such a guy too." He said.

" Get lost!! I will find the solution of my problems on my own. You just keep your mouth shut!! Pretend as if you don't know anything. " I said he grinned and nodded.

It was the New year eve, time for the party. Mihir, Mahi and I got ready on time and came out of our rooms, greeted everyone. They were all ready to go for their own party.

" Have fun kids, Manik take care of Mahi and Mihir. " Dad said. I nodded.

We reached Sujal's hotel and went to the party.

Some of our friends were already there including her. She was standing there with Roohi and Saanjh.

Shit!! She looked hot like a red hot coal. In her sexy little red dress.

Was she all set to give me a heart attack?? All the men were looking at her.
