Luke laughs and gets up to go make me a slushy.
I had a slushy once at school when they had a special assembly and handed them out for free. It was grape flavored and I think it was then that I fell in love with slushies.
I even talked to a pastor about getting married, but he thought I was crazy or something and tried to call for help.
I realized then that I needed to find a new friend.
My last one had escaped.
I hear the slushy machine whirring and North who is grumbling about sugar. The boys quietly talk together.
I think.
They could've been yelling for all the attention I am giving them.
I am sorta transfixed by the slushy machine.
Luke comes back with a beautiful pink slushy, but I don't wait for him. I pop up and run to him. I launch myself at him, hug him tightly, say thank you over and over, kiss his cheek, and snatch the cup from him.
I hop away from him, my focus entirely on the pink slushy.
I want to drink it.
It's too beautiful to drink.
I need to drink it.
If I do, I'll run out of slushy sooner.
Aw, screw it.
I take a big drink. I moan with pleasure and smile with my eyes closed. I run and flip and land on the couch upside down with my knees on the back of the couch and my head hanging down. Star makes it so my slushy is still at the bottom of my cup and my blood flows normally. It is like I am right-side up, but by body is upside sown.
I finally open my eyes and see the boys looking at me strangely.
"What y'all lookin' at?" I ask curiously.

Luke has pink tinting his cheeks and they all have dark eyes.
I shrug and go back to drinking my slushy.
I sigh with happiness.
"Hey Luke, what flavor of slushy is this?" I question.
"Pink lemonade," Is his response.
I smile. I am so happy that he remembered my favorite color!
I take a sip and shivers race down my spine and I get happy pains in my head.
I drink my slushy happily in my own world.
"Sang, they are the nicest people we've ever met! I love this slushy!" Sarah exclaims .
Star snorts, "You couldn't possibly love the slushy more than I do. And I love it to death. We should just get married to it."
"That actually isn't the worst idea..." Sarah trails off.
"Yes!! What do I do to marry it?!" I shout excited.
Sarah thinks before answering, "Ask Mr.Blackbourne if he can marry the two of you. If any of them are licensed, it's him."
I flip my feet over my head so I can get off the couch. I walk up to Mr.Blackbourne and look seriously into his grey eyes.
"Can we get married?"
They all gawk at me, but I am too focused on Mr.Blackbourne who is blushing.
"Ms.Sorenson, what are you talking about?" He manages.
"The slushy. I love it. I want to be with it the rest of my life. I don't want anyone else to touch it. So we're gonna get married. Can you perform the ceremony?"
I look at him intently.
Laughter bursts out around me and Mr.Blackbourne isn't answering me.
A slightly evil idea forms in my head.
"You don't take my love seriously!" I howl with tears trailing down my cheeks.

The laughter abruptly stops.
North Star's voice cuts through my crying fit, "You were serious?!"
"My love is the most serious thing to me!" I sob.
There is silence once more andI cry harder.
Paprika's voice comes next.
"There is no need to cry!"
They all rush to assure me that I'll be fine, but I keep weeping.
"Oy! You can marry it! Just stop crying!" Gabriel cries.
My tears slow and I sniffle looking up at them.
"You promise? All of you? Cross your heart and hope to die? No takesees backsees?" I question.
They all nod frantically, even Mr Blackbourne.
Ha! Suckers!
I quickly wipe my tears and snot.
"Okay. I want a white wedding. And not a small one. I want it on every channel on the TV. I want people to see our love," I command before looking lovingly at my cup.
I give it a kiss before looking up at the stunned boys.
"Did..." Brandon starts.
"We..." Victor continues.
"Just..." Marc says.
"Get..." Pug adds.
"****ing..." Meanie inserts.
"Conned?!" North Star finishes loudly.
"Why aren't you moving?! You gave your word! Get going! Meanie, find me a wedding dress! Axel, get the flowers! Victor, get the camera crews! North Star, get the stretch! Luke get the biggest wedding cake you can find! Marc, get the refreshments! Mr.Blackbourne, get a minister if you aren't ordained! Corey, write me a speech about my love and I! Brandon, help North Star, he looks lost! Kota, go invite the masses! Silas, plan our honeymoon, I'm thinking Greece! Raven manage security; I don't want my crazy fans to crash the party! Paprika, go boss them! They are moving too slow! Pug, being me some bridesmaids!" I rattle off the orders.
I give the slushy a look full of love, "I don't want to wait."
They gawk at me.
I huff and turn to Paprika.
"Didn't I tell you to boss them? They are like helpless and weak sheep. Make sure they get to work!" I direct.
They continue to gawk.
"Sarah! What is going on?! Why aren't they listening?! This is the most important decision of my life!"
"I don't know... Maybe they aren't happy for you..." Sarah says thoughtfully .
Star gasps in shock, "But I thought... Aren't North Star, Brandon, and Axel our best real friends?"
I choke on my breath and start to sob again.
"You aren't happy for me?! I just want to marry the most important and perfect thing in the whole wide world!" I mourn.
Raven asks in Russian, "Crazy fans?"
I nod through my sobs.
"They follow me everywhere and flash these red and white and blue lights at me from the top of their cars," I answer in Russian, still crying.
North Star wraps me up in a hug and says, "We are happy... But no one else will be."
Axel explains further, "You can't get married because everyone would be mad because they will disapprove of your love."
I sniffle.
An idea pops in my head like toast from a toaster.
I smile and declare, "We can get married in secret! Today!"
