The noise did not only wake you up, but Steven too. Maybe he brushed it off, or-

"Y/N," Steven said as he flew your door open. You wondered if he heard what you did, and perhaps he did, or even saw what you did..So you ask him to reassure yourself

"Did you hear it too?" You asked, hoping you weren't going crazy. He gave a quick nod, and looked like he wanted to leave.

You didn't want him to go, so you quickly changed the subject to distract him. "Hey, if you want, you can join me in bed.."

He pondered for a few seconds, and asked if you were sure. You gave him a quick nod, and he smiled.

"Before I sleep, I need to make sure everything is locked, ya know? I don't want any creep to come barging in." Steve nodded, and off you went to make sure everything was okay. You locked the doors and set a few locks to be sure for tonight.

As you were heading back to bed, a loud POP! startled you. You looked around frantically to see what was going on and it was just the balloon. The same balloon that magically appeared has just popped out of nowhere.

Something was off, and you knew it. Steven yelled from across the room, and asked if you were okay. You reassured hin eveything was fine, and began heading back again.
