《Some OC Rough Draft Short Stories》The Dinner of The Rowen Family.

TW: Mentions of dysmorphia, death, anorexia,
It was the day. Once every six months, the entire family gathers for dinner. Most of the remaining Rowen Family has died though. All that was left was Raven, Amelia, their older brother Wren. No ones sure if Castiel should even count. But after Marina, and her passing, three new additions were added. The Wilson Siblings. Lucienne, Liamsworth, and Lilianna. Three pains in Raven's ass.
It was the day. The day. Lucienne, or Luca, stared at her reflection nervously. Since Marina died, it was just a silent awkward dinner that usually ended in chaos. However she still needed to look good. She kept her color scheme of purple. Specifically a lilac dress with slits for her wings. She put her hair up in a bun and looked at her younger sister, who was struggling to put her dress on, she was stuck in the sleeves. "Luciii" "Coming, Lilianna"
She helped the tinier bug elf pull on her green dress. Liam came in with a green sweater. Hm, she was the only one with a purple color scheme. How nice. The three walked into the dining room. A woman with pink salmon hair wore a fancy black dress, sitting next to a man with slightly lighter hair with a black jacket on. The two waved happily. The Wilson Siblings turned their attention to their 'father'. Classic suit. Just with sleeves.
They all sat down in silence. Castiel eventually arrived and was floating around aimlessly. Quiet. Quiet. Liam obviously couldn't handle it, as he was shaking and breathing heavily. "S-so..how, how are you, Mistrum Rowen?" He asked, looking at Wren. "I'm doing groovy, what about you Liam? And, he/they" They said grinning. "I'm great-why do, why do you ask?" "..For one, it's proper manners, for two, you're shaking an awful lot." Liam laughed nervously, "I'm fine" He looked around, everyone had a worried or serious expression.
"Liam, didn't you want to show me and Wren-ch your art?"Amelia smiled a bit. She was nice. He processed for a moment then slowly nodded. "Return in 30" Raven grumbled. The three got up and left for Liam's room. The man flopped on his stomach onto the soft bed. The woman sat down, then flopped backwards. Liam sat on his counter. "Thank you Aunt Amelia," "No problem kiddo, what's on yo-" She was interrupted by everyone's favorite curse. "Helloooo~!"
It spun around and landed on the top of the canopy bed. "My my my! Oh, three rejects in a room. What messes you three could get into!" Wren rolled their eyes. "Castiel, none of us want to deal with you at the moment." "I'm here to remind the little book boy here. It's time. Get the papers." It said, pointing at its watch. El Hora de Memoria. He pulled out his papers, threw them on the counter and stared at them. 8:014. 8:15. Keep looking. 8:16. They're giving him odd looks, but they somewhat understand. 8:17. "We're good now." He muttered, putting the paper away.

"Cas, aren't you supposed to make him miserable?" Wren asked. The curse nodded, "Why'd you help the little lad right now then?" "Big day. Plus, I want him to screw up his own accords." The ink blob cackled. "You're a prick, Mx. Willerman." Wren said, with a sort of mischievous smile. "I like the way you think, just not that it's my family yer messin with." The man shrugged. Amelia smiled a bit, "Ain't nothin we can do 'bout Ol' Cassie here. Just gotta tolerate it." The woman seemed a bit distant during that last part. "We best be heading back." She stood and left. Then the other salmon haired Rowen.
Liam stared at Crow. "Why must you do this to me?" "You already know the answer to that, little man." Green eyes met blank white ones. Typically the elf boy was great at reading body language, but Castiel was always the one to elude him. The way the white-eyed being acted and stood around gave him different signals. Liam shook his head and finally left.
The boy sat down and sighed. "Better now?" Raven asked, with a serious look. "Much better, thank you Father." Liam replied through grit teeth. He looked across the table to his older sister, Luca. She gave him no mind. She never seemed to care for him. "Lucienne, what's on your arm?" Liam asked, pointing at her stitches. "A little incident. However, I am fine. I could ask you the same, Liamsworth." She replied, not even looking at him. He looked at himself, a little red stain. "Same reason." He put on a stupid fake smile to tick her off. A slight shine of anger could be seen on her face. Only a flicker though.
The rest of the dinner was silent. Which seemed to clearly annoy Castiel. "Y'know Raven, it's a shame Marina isn't here." The table seemed to gasp without actually doing it. The room held its breath. "What do you mean, Mx. Willerman?" Raven was the one with gritted speech now. "It's a pity she died, she normally made these dinners great. The best doctor in the world couldn't even save his little girlfriend, ain't that pathetic?" Castiel laughed a little. "Yes, what a pity. We both know your little curse sickness was incurable. We both know how much I tried."
He stared into his glass, swishing the liquid around a bit. He did that when he was upset. "Still can't believe me shooing her away didn't work. She didn't believe what a horrible person you are. She stuck with you. The beautiful, caring, kind Marina dating the King of Bad People." "Quiet down Castiel." The curse paused, hovering above the man. The table stared at the two. Waiting.
"Raven Cameron Rowen. Marina was a great woman. Whom I tried to scare off, but you had to fight to keep her. Then I got to her. Do you think me attempting to scare her away was, oh I don't know, me helping? Maybe some foreshadowing?" The blob's smile was gone for once. "Castiel Riley Owen Willerman, you would never help me. You just thought me screwing up with someone like her would be funny." "No. I thought you ending up with someone kind like her was bad. I did not wish to affect her but here we are., If you just left Ms. Omen and her children alone, she wouldn't be here..but she would be alive. These kids would be happier."

It gestured to the children. Then pointed at Luca. "Under pressure. Possibly.. Body dysmorphia and anorexia." Then Liam, "Neglected and experiences memory problems. Possible facial dysmorphia." Then Lili. "Also neglected by you, she forgets you, and she experiences a worrying amount of panic attacks.." Castiel was rarely this serious. "What brought this on?" The white haired man asked. "Well, Raven, I'm frankly annoyed by you keeping these children when you are well aware they will never really be yours. No offense children but, you would be better off orphans again."
The Wilson Siblings stared at their food. It was true. They would've been out once Luca had been an adult. They would probably be in an apartment together, much happier. Lucienne sighed, "Whilst that is true, Castiel, we would probably face a lot of other problems. Example, rent and education." "You would be happy right?" She nodded. "You're resilient and smart, you would be good. Liam is very clever. And Lili, I think you underestimate her." Luca scoffed. "She refers to herself in the third person and tried bringing a beehive inside yesterday." Castiel glared daggers at her.
Raven had been silent. Anger. Pure anger. "Marina's legacy is very treasured here. I love my children very much." "That's an outright lie." "You're calling me a liar, Willerman? You know well what you've done. Shut your mouth." "No no no, you shut yours. You lie about loving these children. Tell him what you think, kids. Really. Do it."
Lili stood up. "Lili wants to pick flowers.." "Okay. I will keep you safe, I promise." The ink blob told her. "Go. Do that. Amelia, Wren, you've no business here. Take her." Raven growled. The bee child got up, grabbed her uncle and aunt by the hand, then left. She might've been..crying? Possibly.. The blob split in two and went as well.
"Look what you've done Castiel." "ME? WHAT I'VE DONE?" It's sudden yell startled everyone left in the room. It always adapted a more british accent when it yelled. Voi laughed. "LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE FIRSTLY. YOU'RE PRESSURING THESE CHILDREN. YOU'RE NEGLECTING THEM. YOU JUST.." Raven slammed his hands on the table, his turn to yell now, but he sighed instead. "WHY CAN'T YOU FUCKING LOVE YOUR KIDS? THEY DONT FUCKING LIKE YOU. I TRIED SHOOING MARINA AWAY. I WANTED THE KIDS TO GET TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU BUT GODDAMN YOU FOUGHT TO KEEP KIDS YOU DIDN'T WANT." Raven was ready to yell now, "CASTIEL. I FOUGHT TO KEEP WHATEVER REMAINED OF MARINA'S LEGACY. I LOVE THESE CHILDREN, THEY ARE MY CHILDREN. THEY LOVE ME. ANYTHING MARINA TOUCHED WAS PERFECTI-..." He turned to the children. "...these kids are but failures. You're right Castiel, I do not want them. But I cannae just abandon them."
Liam stood. "Liam sit down, you weren't excused." Luca piped up. "Oh hush up, Luca." He looked at her, with such anger as well. Abnormal for him to be angry. "This man was never our father. He never cared for us. He finally admits it. If he had just left mom alone we'd be fine." He was shaking. The elf boy clenched his fists and looked down. "You're a fucking bastard. I hate you, Raven." "Liam sit-" "NO YOU SIT RAVEN. SHUT THE FUCK UP. YOU SHOULD'VE LEFT US ALONE. YOU PUT SO MUCH PRESSURE ON ALL OF US, ESPECIALLY LUCA. YOU AND CASTIEL MADE ME FEEL LIKE I SHOULDN'T EXIST." "I never intend-"
Raven looked at Crow. "BUT YOU DID, DIDN'T YOU, CASTIEL? YOUR PURPOSE IS TO HURT US. BUT EVEN MORE SO, YOU WANT TO DO IT QUICKLY." Liam looked at them. Their faces seemed fuzzy. He was breathing heavily. "I had to make up for such screw ups. Of course I'm under pressure." Luca had stood up. "I'm defending you right now, and you call me a screw up?"
"Am I lying though?" Luca was never intentionally rude. She spoke nothing but truth, harsh or not. "He just called you one too." Liam pointed at the man who ruined their lives. "I know, Liam, which fucking sucks because I work so hard to impress him. To be his picture perfect daughter for the company." Her eyes filled with tears." "We were never really siblings, were we?" "Liam-" "ANSWER THE QUESTION LUCIENNE." "Bite your tongue Liamsworth. Sit down and join us. Or leave." The elf boy looked down again. "You first."
She left. Leaving just Castiel, Liam, and Raven. "I understand you couldn't save her. I understand you wanted to keep her close. But I don't understand why you keep us." Liam left as well. The curse gave one last dirty look at the man, then disappeared like it was being pulled by a magnet. Last one in the room. He looked at his food and sighed. He tidied the table and left. As in, on a trip. That's all.
