I sit in the bed, tapping my finger On my chin impatiently. Many thoughts running through my head.
Where is Nightshade?
Why was the cheif, hiccup, worried about me?
I'm gonna pound valkas son for giving me a broken leg.
The door to the cabin opened to revel a tall guy. He had brown hair and deep forest green eyes. And, a metal foot?
"Hey, you mush be the girl we shot down yesterday, sorry about your leg, I thought you were a rouge dragon rider," he rubs the back of his neck in embarrassment.
"You're Valkas son?" I ask with a small growl. "You're the one who shot me out of the sky?" I cross my arms over my chest.
He looked down. "I'm really sorry about that, we've been having some trouble with a rouge dragon rider and I thought you were him/her."
I smirked "I'd take your other leg as pay back, but I'm feeling generous." He chuckled.
"My names Hiccup, I was really worried about you. We were afraid you weren't going to wake up."
I smile, "that's nice of you to be concerned, but how long have I been out?" I ask. "Three days." Hiccup said.
"Three days? It feels just like yesterday was my birthday!" I exclaim. "Your birthday?" Hiccup tilted his head, sitting down next to me on the bed. I nod. "The day you shot me down, that was my birthday. I turned 22."
"Oh, well what were you doing all the way out here?" Hiccup asked. I frown. "My-my village cast me out. They said, I had a dragon, I couldn't be trusted. My father called me a disgrace to the family." A tear rolled down my face as I looked at my hands in my lap. I felt a hand on my shoulder,

"I'm so sorry. Where were you headed?" He asked. "Changewing Island."
Hiccup looked at me like I had just killed a dragon, "why were you going to Changewing island? It's really dangerous."
I chuckle "I know that, but I have another dragon who lives there, his name is Phyro. I'll get my journal and show you- wait, where's my bag?" I look around the room.
"Oh, it's over here," hiccup said, getting up and walking to a table. He grabbed my bag and walked back over, sitting next to me.
I pull out my journal and open it. "This is my book of dragons that I've discovered, but only the bizarre ones, I've already got a copy of the actual book of dragons. So," I pause, flipping to the page about Phyro.
"This is Phyro, he is a Changewing smothering smokebreath cross, that's why he lives on Changewing island. " I explain.
Hiccup takes the book from me and looks at the pages. "These are very detailed, and amazing artwork. I can't believe that he's part Changewing, part smokebreath."
I Smile "thanks, and he's the size of a changewing, but grey and can camouflage, and he never resist iron and metals." I chuckle, as did hiccup. He flipped through the pages, back to the first one.
"A- a nightfury?!" He asked astonished. I nod,
"That's my dragon, Nightshade. Oh my Thor, I completely forgot! Where is she? I need I find her!" I start to freak out.
"Woah calm down, we actually haven't seen your dragon since we shot you down, she ran off before we got to you." Hiccup explained.
"Take me to Changewing island."
"What?"
"You herd me, take me to Changewing island."
Hiccup thought for a minute. "Why?"
"I need Phyro, he's an amazing tracker. And I also need to find my dragon, and fast." I explain.
Hiccup nodded. "Alright, we leave at noon."

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.
