Y/n's POV
I finally finished unpacking my stuff into my new home. My parents made me move to this place called Sooga village so I could be safe from all the bad people that we're after me in Tokyo. This village is pretty peaceful and the scenery is beautiful. I started to hear my stomach growl so I decided to go to this popular restaurant called Goh Rong with my baby panda, Yin. I lived in the bamboo forest on the outskirts of the village so I had to walk a long way to get to my destination but I didn't mind. Yin fell asleep on my back when the restaurant came into sight. "HIYAAAAA HA!" I heard somebody yell. What the heck was- I was snapped out of my thoughts when a jacket, no, half a jacket hit my face and woke up Yin. I pulled the half jacket off my face and examined it. It was black and had a white stripe where I assumed the opening of the jacket. I looked up and saw a shirtless boy kicking and punching a punching bag like there was no tomorrow while girls were giggling in the background. This boy looked prideful so I wanted to ruin his stride but I didn't. He kicked the punching bag and did a cool back flip, the girls squealed and cheered as he landed. He did a couple small bows and that's when I tapped his shoulder. "Sir, I believe this belongs to you." I said holding the half jacket towards him. He turned around to look at me and when he saw me his eyes widened.
Abyo's POV
I turned around to see who dared to interrupt my time with the ladies. The fiend is a lady?! and a pretty one too but she wasn't my type. She handed me part of my jacket that I ripped in half before my performance. I took it hesitantly.
Abyo: "Thanks. Uhhh... are ya new around here?"
Geez why am I so nervous around this girl.
The pretty girl: "Ya I am, and I'm Y/n by the way."
Abyo: "I'm Abyo, nice to meet you Y/n. Uhhh wanna go get something to eat? I'll buy."
I heard the other girls groan in disappointment behind me but I didn't care.
Y/n: "Sure, I'm starving."
Abyo: "Cool, I know this great place we can go and eat it's called Goh Rong.
Y/n: "Hey I was just about to go there."
Abyo: "Really?!"
I wrapped my arm around her shoulders.
Y/n: "Uhhhh maybe you should put on a shirt before we enter the restaurant, so you don't get kicked out."
Abyo: "Oh ya, don't worry I brought a spare."
Time skip to arrival—
Y/n's POV
Me and Abyo talked, made jokes and even said Yin looked like a rice dumpling. Yin cutely roared in anger at his comment which made us both laugh. Abyo put on his shirt as we walked up the steps to the big double doorway.
Abyo: "So Y/n, uhhh can I tell you a secret.?"
Y/n: "Ya sure, what is it."
Abyo: "Well I may or may not be using you to make another girl jealous. Please don't be mad."

He pleaded.
Y/n: "Three things, One bold of you to assume that I would be mad at you for something I would totally do myself, two I only see you as a friend so what you said wouldn't hurt me emotionally and three who's the lucky lady."
Abyo: "Her name is Ching, and if I'm gonna make her jealous then you're gonna have to act like my girlfriend, is that ok with you?"
Y/n: "Sure why not, but if you try to kiss me then I will not hesitate to kick you in the face."
Abyo: "Fine but I get to wrap my arm around ya."
Y/n: "It's a deal."
We opened the huge doors to reveal a nice seating area inside. Abyo wrapped his arm around my waist and began to walk in. He had a big smile on his face although I didn't know why. We walked past a few tables before we heard...
????: "Hmph!"
We both turned our heads to see who made that noise. It was a boy about my age with black hair tied up in pigtails, he had an angry expression on his face along with a smile.
Abyo: "GARU!! Hey how ya doin' bud."
He dragged me over to what I assumed to be Garu and the table he was sitting at.
Abyo; "Garu this is my date Y/n, Y/n this is my best friend Garu."
Y/n: "H-Hi."
I waved gently.
Garu: "Hmph."
Abyo: "Do you mind if we sit here?"
He shook his head. I had a confused expression on my face because Garu wouldn't talk, Abyo must have seen my expression cause he said...
Abyo: "Eh don't mind him Y/n he was just sworn to secrecy so he's not much of a talker."
Y/n: "Well that explains a lot."
Me and Abyo took our seats across from Garu. I picked up the menu that was on the table but before I could open it Garu grabbed a napkin and began to write on it. When he was done writing he handed the napkin to me and it said:
So you're Aboy's date?
Y/n: "No not exactly he just wants to make this girl named Ching jealous."
Abyo: "Y/N! How could you!"
Garu smirked at Abyo's sudden out burst of embarrassment.
Y/n: "Well it's not like he's gonna tell anyone."
I giggled. His smile quickly turned back into the angry face he had earlier.
Garu: "Hmm Hmm Hm."
He seemed to be laughing sarcastically at my snarky comment.
?????: "Hello guys what can I get for you this evening."
I looked up to see an adorable girl with two black buns and squinty eyes.
Abyo: "Hiya Pucca, I would like the steamed dumplings please."
Y/n: "And I'll have (favorite Chinese food) please."
Garu pointed to what he wanted on the menu.
Pucca: "So you must be new around here."
Y/n: "Ya I am."
Pucca: "Well my name is Pucca, nice to meet you...
Y/n: "Y/n."
Pucca: "Nice to meet you Y/n."
Y/n: "Nice to meet you too Pucca."
Pucca: "Oh, that reminds me."
Pucca grabbed Abyo by his shirt and lifted him up in the air.

Abyo: GAH! Pucca put me down!!
Pucca: WHY ARE YOU CHEATING ON CHING WITH THIS POOR NEW GIRL!
Abyo: I'm not cheating on Chi-
Y/n: WAIT
Pucca looked over at you then back at Abyo still infuriated.
Y/n: You know Ching?
Pucca: Ya she's my best friend, why?
Y/n: Then you should probably know that Abyo was just trying to make her jealous, he still has a crush on her.
Pucca: Wait, really!
She dropped Abyo with a loud thud. Abyo slowly got up and said...
Abyo: Ow. Y/N STOP TELLING PEOPLE THAT!
I giggled and looked over at Garu, his shoulders were bouncing up and down signaling that he was laughing.
Y/n: Well it's not she's ever gonna find out, unless...
Abyo: Unless what.
He started to get more irritated.
Y/n: Unless she's the girl wearing all purple and has a chicken on her head and has been standing right behind you for the entire conversation I think you'll be alright.
Abyo slowly turned around and when he saw the girl I described he screamed and jumped up so high I think his head hit the ceiling.
Abyo: GAAAAAHHHH!
Garu, Pucca, Ching and I lost it, we started to laugh so hard we all were on the floor laughing.
Abyo: Ha ha ha, laugh it up while you still can Y/n cause I'm gonna get you back for this.
Y/n: Oh really.
Ching got up and wiped a tear from her eye.
Ching: You must be Y/n.
She reached out her hand for me to shake, I gladly took it.
Y/n: And you must be Ching.
Ching clapped her hands together and said...
Ching: Now that we're all introduced to each other we should get something to eat, all that laughing made me hungry.
Time skip till after dinner—
Garu's POV
It was time for us to say our goodbyes and head home. As I walked towards the bamboo forest I couldn't stop thinking about Y/n, she was smart, funny, kind, and even pretty. I thought about how her hair bounced as she laughed. I thought about her beautiful smile. And me being a guy I thought about how well she filled out her green dress. I walked through the tall stalks of bamboo when I heard a sound. It sounded like foot steps. I put my hand around my sword handle getting ready for what could possibly attack me.
???: OOF
Y/n! I thought. Why would she be in the forest this late at night? I turned around to see a fallen Y/n and a baby panda on her back. I released the handle of my sword and helped Y/n to her feet.
Y/n's POV
Garu helped me to my feet and grabbed a notepad from God knows where and began to write. After he showed me the paper on the notepad.
What are you doing out here this late at night?
Y/n: I live around here.
(A/n: G/w stands for Garu's writing.)
G/w: May I walk you home then, it can get real dangerous at night and you really shouldn't travel alone around this time.
Y/n: It can?! Why?!
G/w: You didn't answer my question.
Y/n: Yes, you may walk me home.
He smiled at me and held out his arm in a gentlemen fashion. I took it but I was blushing a little bit. It was kind of awkward walking the rest of the way home with some guy who doesn't like to talk. We found my house and Garu walked me up the steps to the door. I opened and walked inside but before I closed the door I looked back at Garu and said...
Y/n: Thank you for walking me home tonight, I really appreciate it.
G/w: It's nothing but if you wouldn't mind me walking you home again tomorrow I would gladly do so.
Y/n: I wouldn't mind at all. Goodnight Garu
Garu: Goodnight Y/n.
Garu quickly slapped his hands over his mouth.
Y/n: Garu, you talked!
Omg his voice was so hot!
G/w: PLEASE FORGIVE ME Y/N I WAS CAUGHT OFF GAURD.
Y/n: No need to be sorry Garu, I like your voice.
G/w: You what?!
Y/n: You heard me.
Garu scrambled to write on the notepad but he dropped it on the ground. He went to pick it up but I stopped him before he could.
Y/n: Garu I think your voice is nice. May I please hear it again.
Garu was blushing like a mad man when I told him his voice was nice and that you actually wanted to hear it.
Garu: S-Sure I don't see why not.
He held his head down in embarrassment when he spoke.
Garu: I-I don't really like my voice so having you say that makes me feel good.
Y/n: I'm glad I make you feel good Garu. So I'll see you tomorrow.
Garu: Definitely.
And with that said he jumped up into the bamboo stalks on his way home. I already knew he was a ninja, that topic was discussed during dinner. I can't wait to see him and my new friends tomorrow.
Third POV
Y/n drifted off to sleep and Garu went home and did the same. But what they didn't know is that they were being watched the entire time by two of Tobe's ninjas. Those two heard the whole conversation you and Garu had together and assumed that you two were close. They went back to their lair so they could report what they just saw to their leader Tobe. Tobe was asleep on his hammock when the two evil ninjas arrived. One of them flicked the hammock and it started to spin out of control throwing Tobe to the ground.
Tobe: Gah! What do you two idiots want!
He said getting up off the floor brushing himself off.
Ninja 1: Uh sir we wanted to tell you that we saw Garu with a girl.
Tobe: So what, two of his friends are girls!
He was starting to get angrier.
Ninja 2: No no no boss this was a new girl.
Tobe: Go on.
Ninja 2: Garu seems to really trust this girl, a lot.
Ninja 1: Ya, he even trusts her enough that he talks to her, using his voice.
Tobe: Really?! Garu never talks to anyone not even his best friend what's his face.
Ninja 2: Abyo
Tobe: Ya ya that guy, so this girl must be very special to him.
Ninja 1: So what do you plan on doing boss?
Tobe: We are going to capture her so that Garu suffers immense pain when he finds out about her disappearance and then... we strike.
