Dedicated to the Roman Empire

In universe, this is a 25k verse epic that was passed down orally from generation to generation until somebody decided to write it down and then I decided to adapt that writing into a mere 120k English novel. So you're welcome.

This novel features a love story between two guys (although their romance isn't the central plot, their love for each other is). Still, if you're a homophobe, please step away for your own safety.

There is only one semi-sex scene, but there are a lot of other things that might trigger people: lots of deaths, bullying, PTSD, physics, etc. I don't want to be held responsible for any accidents. Viewer discretion is advised.

There is a magic system in this book, and it's alright to call it a 'magic system', although nobody who actually uses magical powers calls it that, because science.

In the end, I've added five appendices just in case you're interested in my world. Since it is without spoilers, you can read that before you read the main story, or vice-versa.

I was thinking I'd write an Appendix F to pay respect to their elvish languages. But then I realised I'm not Tolkien and I can't do this (not yet anyway).

The book is not a 'dreamy offspring of vivid imagination that requests you to temporarily suspend your beliefs and escape into a fantastic world'. This is a gateway between the universe that I created and our own, and your action of reading it leaks my universe into this one.

This is not a standalone book. All the fantasy books I write (unless stated otherwise) share the same universe as this one, and each of them like this one are ancient stories passed down from previous generations and then then translated.

The stegosaurus has a brain the size of a walnut, and that has absolutely nothing to do with this. Just saying.

Though upvotes are absolutely unnecessary, they put a smile on my face.
