《For My Eyes ONLY》twenty-two

As I twisted the doorknob to Nash's home, I couldn't help but regret the past few hours of my life. Nash was definitely going to notice, we'd been friends forever and I'd never been blasted out of my mind!
The first step I even took into the house, the most delicious smell I'd ever dreamed of hit my nose. Instantly, I was slobbering over the drool forming in my mouth.
Embarrassing, but I was more concerned about the whereabouts of the food. As I turned the corner, I saw tons of Nash's cousins and various family members.
This must be really important.
Nash's eyes fell to me, quickly scanning over Ashton as she walked up to us and a faint smile played on her lips.
"Glad you could make it Mads," She pulled me into a hug and she smelled soo fucking good. Like tacos, beans, guava, tamales, sa-
"Why are you wearing sunglasses? It's nighttime." She stated, I quickly realized she was talking to me and sputtered out a reply.
"AhEAh-- What? Weird." Mentally face palming, I quickly discarded the sunglasses and smiled brightly at her closing my blazing eyes.
I barely noticed Leo walk up in the time I completely failed at trying to hide my current state. He looked nice, wearing a grey tux and I noticed Nash was wearing an emerald gown that matched his tie perfectly.
This must be very important.
"Thank you for coming Madi," He smiled brightly at me, pulling me into a hug and giving a boyish nod towards Ash.
When he finally let me go, I tried wiping off the shocked look I held on my face. Ashton pulled me closer then before, and I looked up at him trying to somehow send him the sad signals from my brain.

At this point, I just wanted to leave. This was obviously extremely important to both Nash and Leo and here I was higher then a kite ready to ruin everything in my path accidentally. I scanned the room, and made a beeline for the bathroom before the waterworks came.
Trying to suppress my tears, I looked at my reflection cursing myself for crying and causing my eyes to turn more red.
"What are you doing?"
His voice made me jump 10 feet in the air as he swung open the door.
Jesus take the wheel.
"Ash you scared me, I was just--"
"Crying?" A hint of a smile showed on his face and I smiled back at him genuinely. At times, it felt like he was the only constant in my life.
At least he was always completely and utterly himself although, I wasn't sure what that meant yet.
"Try not to overthink things little one," His thumb stroked my lip like he loved to do lately. "You are really high so every emotion you feel is enhanced."
I nodded, closing my eyes to pull myself somewhat together.
We walked out of the bathroom hand in hand and at the moment, that was all I could think of. His hand felt calloused inside my soft one but for some reason, that was comforting. When we made our way back to the kitchen, to my delight everyone was making plates. I tried not to break out into my happy eating dance.
I began filling my plate with a vegetable mix, potatoes, a few tacos, chips, a tostada, and tons of salsa with sour cream and a juicy tamale on the side.
I tried not to eat too quickly..
I really did.
But I was now finishing up my third plate, when I realized people eat slowly to be polite.

Right..
As I sat down with my fourth round, I noticed everyone was finishing up, I was lucky if they even got a second plate. I was also far too hungry to be embarrassed. Looking over to Ashton's plate, I noticed his amused eyes were on me.
"Am I eating loud?" I whispered to him worriedly.
He let out a light laugh, his dimple peeking through his cheek as he simply shook his head.
He gestured to the taco on his plate I was eyeing now indicating I could eat it, so I did. In the time that I was eating Ash's taco, everyone had finished and now Nash was politely looking my way, ready to announce.
I gave her a subtle nod, saying I wasn't going to stop eating but she could talk now.
Thank God over the years we had both picked up on each other's silent languages.
"Okay so Leo and I brought you guys all together today for dinner because we have something to tell you guys.."
I crunched nervously, anticipating her news.
The last time all her family was together like this was the 2009 Reunion.
Ugly Reunion lots of chanclas were thrown.
"I'm pregnant!"
Tears began to well in her eyes and Leo wasted no time wrapping his arms around her to whisper sweet nothings in her ear. The whole room let out a gasp and I swear it it was so silent, not even a whisper was heard.
I however, chocked on the piece of tostada in my throat.
My best friend was pregnant...
by Leo..
... I'm going to be an Aunt!!
"I'm going to be an Aunt!!!!"
I screamed, smashing through the silence in the room. A strangled cry was let out by her Abuela and soon after, everyone was hugging and cheering on to Leo for his 'strong swimmers'. I however, could not contain the waterworks.
I began to cry, no sob at the happiest thing I'd heard all day.
The best news I'd had in my life, honestly.
I'd always wanted a huge family, built on loyalty and love and here I was starting it, with my bestfriend.
Once the room had calmed down, and I had come to a quiet sniffle, I made a toast.
"Cheers! cheers to you and Leo and my little niece or nephew! I couldn't be happier for you guys, Nashly, you're going to make the best mother I can't wait to see all that you do. Here's to the beginnings of your little family.
So cheers, to good food and babies!!"
Everyone rose our non-alcoholic drinks to a clink and we drank.
That night, I left Nash's house as an aunt, with a left-overs plate, sunglasses perched on my face, and a permanent smile resting on my lips.
2019 ^ I literally have no words?
Thank you all SO fucking much

Our Chaoz; Our Reality (Completed)
Everyone has their own reasons, be it past events, personality or simply company. But most at some point divulge themselves into videogaming, be it for entertainment or more compettitive reasons. In this year and age there are many genres of gaming, one specific genre though still holds on tight to the ledge it was pushed to trying to pull itself back up. MMORPGs were once the top of everybody's list, adventure, combat, storytelling and endless grind in one single game. It was a different life for most, as if a parallel world to our own. You could be a knight indulging yourself in combat, a mage expertly crafting spells of mass destruction or creation. A ranger exploring the land and hunting down prey, an assassin completing contracts and hording the spoils. A troll scamming children out of their hard earned 10 gold and making more hardcore players rage quit for the day. Or something else. Kyle was a simple player, he always picked the strangest classes or jobs and his characters almost looked the same. He played for the combat, he played for the grind and he played for his guild but above all he played for the story. Kyle is a roleplayer, one who enjoys the simple parts of this virtual life. Whether his guild was starting a war or ending one he'd always have his drammatic entrence or exit, his decleration of annihalition or demand of surrender. After all that? He divulged himself in the game's story, the interaction with NPCS (Non Player Characters) and their advanced AI. He went through many questlines, many tales of heroics and many more adventurers of legend but one thing always remained true with his character. Kyle absolutely loved to the play the villain. But when game turns reality, what will he and his guild of twisted personalities do?
