《For My Eyes ONLY》six

Someone has a jack hammer and they are pounding it inside my fucking head.

I wanted to shoot up or pry open my eyes but I needed a minute to try to process at least a piece of what happened last night.

I know I was at Jenny's drinking..

Looking for someone..

Ashton was there..

Running?

"OH SHIT!" I shrieked, shooting up and bumping my head on the ceiling in the process..

Where the hell am I?

"Could you not do that again?" Ashton groaned.

Okay, now I was extremely confused.

I looked around and took in my surroundings.

Holy shit.

I was in a car.

with Ashton.

I looked down realizing I had been sleeping in the floorboard of his car. Underneath me there was a flat McDonald's bag. I opened it up,

half because I was doing research,

half because I was hungry.

Inside I was met with a flattened chicken nugget box.

"You were begging for chicken nuggets."

Ashton sat up, stretching his arms up. As his shirt rose up a hint, my eyes fell to his V line then back to the floorboard quickly. His hair poked out from his head every which way making made me laugh a little.

"Your hair looks like shit," I pointed out, laughing.

"So does yours." He smirked at me, reaching out and rolling a strand in between his fingers.

We stayed in this comfortable silence for a while as he played with my hair softly but of course, like everything else, I had to ruin it.

I looked down focusing on the blue material that hugged my body.

I wasn't wearing my dress anymore.

I was wearing a big blue shirt and no pants..

Ashton's big blue shirt and no pants..

O God!

that means--

"We didn't .. like ..." My voice trailed off, not wanting to say it aloud.

Ashton didn't have a problem with the subject.

"Fuck? No."

He stared at me straight in my eyes, narrowing his own slightly.

"Oh good.. did we kiss or anything like that?" I asked, my voice raising an octave.

Just trying to make sure.

His face expression fell stone again, which didn't surprise me because I seemed to piss him off in a special kind of way.

"After you fell all the way down the stairs, I brought you to my car, made sure you weren't dead, went and got you chicken FUCKING nuggets when you woke back up, and even gave you something to change into when you said you were uncomfortable. If I wanted to kiss you, I would have but obliterated girls, aren't my type."

The look he was giving me made me wanna chop up my questions and have them for breakfast

of course he didn't kiss you, you aren't enough to be one of his pursuants'

"You're right, I'm sorry.." I muttered, studying the leather seats stitching. The after silence sting made me reach out, snatching open his car door.

"Where the fuck are you going?"

Ashton snapped, reaching over me to grab the door and slam it.

"I was going to call an Uber or something.." I replied, mesmerized by his eyes and how quickly they transformed to concern from choler.

That was, until he opened his mouth.

"You're fucking insane. You aren't getting in an Uber with no pants on." He scoffed, his tone not leaving room for argument.

"Why?"

I peeked up at him through my lashes, afraid of the answer to that one. Its not my fault I always have so many damn questions! Or is it? Okay, maybe it is a tiny bit dumb to parade around town with no pants on.

"Because I said so. I'll take you home in a little while. Right now, we're going back to sleep."

I really couldn't argue or complain with the way I felt at the moment. My head had a horrible thrashing and there was a sickening whorl in my my stomach like I might yak at any moment. So the alternative of sleep was looking better and better each moment,

even if we were in a car.

"Here little one," His raspy voice reached my ears as he lowered the back seats down. "Now you don't have to insist on sleeping on the floor." his smile heated me up inside out.

I could tell it was genuine, although the overwhelming thought was 'why?'

"Thanks."

I murmured, trying to get my nausea under control.

As I climbed up onto the leather seats, the sudden shock in my knees made me freeze. They were cold as fuck.

I tried not to shiver or give any indication off that I was cold because I was sure Ashton was tired of catering to me by now.

But of course, because I flop at anything I try to do, I ended up shaking a little and shivering a bit too.

"Come here."

Ashton's voice was sleepy which, for some reason, made my body shake in a different way.

I was probably just delusional because of my current state.

"Huh?"

I leaned over not fully understanding what he meant.

"Come here, little one." he repeated, leaving me incredulous.

If you would've told me a week ago, hell a day ago! I would wake up after a party in Ashton's car, half naked but still a virgin and he was willingly allowing me to stay..

I might have had you put in an Asylum.

I pulled myself a little closer to him but not all the way, leaving a large gap between us.

Somehow, I still felt the heat radiating off his body in waves.

He kept his eyes closed, feeling around for my waist to pull me into his chest.

His body heat began surrounding me instantly causing me to involuntarily sigh.

I was already nauseous before but his cologne was making me wanna puke. In an odd way, it was sort of comforting.

Not the whole seconds away from puking everywhere thing but not freezing my ass off anymore.

Within minutes, the fastest I've ever fallen asleep, a deep slumber consumed my body.

I woke up yet again, to a banging nuisance and immediately threw the heavy arm off my waist.

Sounded like someone was knocking at the door.

I got up and once registered the fact I was in a car again, peaked through the window cautiously.

Oh shit.

There stood an older women, repeatedly beating on the window even though I was sitting up staring at her now. Right in her big face. I could hear her muffled squawks, but couldn't make out a single inflamed word.

Tinted windows you idiot.

"What the fuck is that," Ashton groaned, squinting his eyes to search for the perpetrator.

"Look." I clicked my tongue, pointing to the window.

"Uh why are we in the McDonald's parking lot?" I added, now staring up at the big yellow arches.

Ashton looked as if he'd never heard of a Mc'Donald's in the country. I cocked my head to the side and watched as an 'oh shit' look skid across his face.

"I was really too drunk to be driving but you, little one, but you wouldn't shut the fuck up about chicken nuggets. You see my dilemma here, right?" he reasoned while weighing out the invisible options.

The lady beat relentlessly on his expensive window, making it hard to pay attention to anything else.

Any second that things gonna give..

"Buckle up." Ashton smirked and climbed over onto drivers seat.

I followed his lead climbing over to the passengers seat.

Only because I didn't know how to pull up the back seats.

Ashton cranked the car which really really pissed off this lady.

She was screaming what I was sure to be profanity but I still wasn't really able to tell, her voice higher then heaven.

Without warning, Ashton sped off leaving the lady behind where she began to jump up and down waving her arms in every direction.

"Alright, directions to your house," he confidently requested, a small smile surfacing. Probably because he'd repeated those words over and over again to various females.

I wasn't going to lose my focus here and all of a sudden imagine Ashton was some good guy that I could be the one to change. I mean only 87 other girls tried before me, but I'm the one, right?

Wrong.

I told him the directions to my house and before I knew it we were there, the car ride staying eerily silent.

We sat in my driveway for about 4 minutes and 11 seconds before I, broke the silence.

"Uh thank you Ashton.. for everything."

I really tried not to blush.

"Yeah it's nothing," he shot down, nonchalantly.

I smiled at him as I opened the car door starting to get out, only to have him reach over me and shut the door again.

"Okay what now Ashton? I'm starting to think you're going to keep me or something seriously." I looked at him in the eyes trying to read his emotions but as far as I could tell, he was impossible to read.

or there is nothing to read

"I'm just.. not comfortable with you going out with no pants on." he spoke lowly, keeping his focus ahead and a tight grip on the wheel.

I looked at him for a long time, tracing each curve of his face with my eyes.

"Well I don't have any pants so.." I reported, trying to see what he was getting at.

He looked at me for a split second and then, he was taking his pants off.

I wanted to look away, really, somewhere deep, deep, deeeep down, I would have liked to deny him that satisfaction. But, when a hot guy takes off his clothes in front of you, you don't look away.

Even if that hot guy is the most arrogant asshole.

Who buys you chicken nuggets..

"Here you go, wear these. You can give them back whenever, I'm sure you'll have plenty of my clothes around soon enough." He beamed, winking at me while handing over his sweatpants.

"Thanks..?" I questioned, hastily putting on the sweatpants he handed to me with a confused facial expression.

I guess I sat there a little too long looking confused.

"Okay now get out." Ashton snapped impatiently.

"I got places to be and girls to see."

Charming, isn't he?

I opened the car door and this time he didn't close it.

In fact, before I could even shut it, he sped off and I watched his car fly away.

Strange.

As I walked up to the front steps of my house, I braced myself to be greeted by a whole lot of trouble when I stepped inside.

I shakily pulled my key out from underneath the rug, the most obvious place, I know, and turned the key in the lock.

"Mom I'm honestly really, really sorry about not calling or com--" I stopped abruptly.

She wasn't here.

I cautiously made my way into the kitchen, only to find a short note.

eMergency with wOrk,

gOing outeR town.

c you soon.

LuvE mom.

The note seemed .. off for my mom and left me with an uneasy feeling. Especially when I found myself a little upset that I wasn't getting disciplined.

My mom wasn't home a whole lot in all honesty. She traveled a lot, owning a few small bakeries nationwide. However, never once did she leave a note without saying goodbye.

I obviously missed her, a lot of the time, but I know she does this for me so I let go of that goodbye. Grabbing a granola bar, my charger and phone, I headed to my room to either catch up on whatever TV show I was feeling, or read a book.

Or both.

Definitely both.
