《Trust Me (Daryl Dixon x OC)》{7}

After the whole walker deer thing we all walked back into the camp. "Merle! Merle! Get your ugly ass out here!" The blue eyed man started yelling in the camp.
'Oh, shit. He must be Merle's brother Daryl.' I thought to myself finally connecting the dots.
"I got us some squirrel! Let's stew 'em up." The redneck finished. He walked over to the fire pit and threw down his catch. I looked over at Rick and Shane as we all walked over. Shane had a look on his face like he really didn't want to tell Daryl what had happened in Atlanta. Shane started to go after Daryl before he tore up the camp looking for someone who wasn't even here.
"Daryl, just slow up a bit. I need to talk to you." He said, trying to catch up to the already slightly irritated redneck. Daryl stopped and looked back at Shane.
"About what?" Daryl looked at him.
"About Merle." Daryl got noticeably more pissed off when Shane mentioned his now missing brother.
"There was a...a problem in Atlanta." Shane finished. I noticed he seemed slightly uncomfortable with the whole situation. He was never very good with this sort of stuff. Shane looked over to me and Rick. We were basically standing right in front of him except for the small fact that Daryl was standing between us. The rest of the group started to gather around us like it was some big movie fight scene.
"He dead?" Was all Daryl said after the longest 2 minute pause of my life.
"We're not sure." Shane said, rubbing the back of his neck. This caused Daryl to start pacing the floor. We all knew this wasn't going to go over well but, I had a feeling it was going to be ten times worse.
"He either is or he ain't!" Daryl yelled at Shane. That's when Rick decided to speak up.
"No easy way to say this so I'll just say it." Rick started to approach the fuming redneck. Which in my opinion was a bad move so I walked over to protect him.
"Who are you?"
"Rick Grimes." I knew Rick was usually the one to give bad news to people.
When I would come back from deployment I would hear all the war stories about how Shane had to save Rick's ass from some guy all because Rick had to tell them that someone they loved either died or got injured.
"Rick Grimes, You got something you want to tell me?" Daryl's words snapped me out of my trance. He started to get into Rick's face and I took another protective step towards him. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Shane. He knew there was going to be a fight. There always was when it came to Rick.

"Your brother was a danger to us all, so I handcuffed him on a roof, hooked him to a piece of metal. He's still there." And with those words the dam broke loose. I noticed T-dog come back with some firewood.
'Bad timing bro.' I shook my head at him trying to tell him to keep his distance.
"Hold on. Let me process this. You're saying you handcuffed my brother to a roof and you left him there?!" Daryl yelled but, that's when I noticed something. A slight sadness hiding behind his eyes. Almost like he knew his brother was dead and somehow knowing his brother was dead would have been easier for him. Strange how when people are hurting the most they put on a bigger tough guy act.
"Yeah." Rick said I saw Daryl get ready to kick his ass so I stepped in.
"Look we didn't really have a choice. Your brother didn't really leave us much of another option." I spoke, now standing right next to Rick. That's when Daryl turned his piercing blue eyes at me.
"Who the hell are you?"
"Raven Walker." That's all I could get out before Daryl lost it and went after Rick. He threw his crossbow at him and Rick easily dodged it. That's when Shane came out and tackled Daryl to the ground.
"Hey." I heard T-dog say as he dropped the wood he was holding and came over to us. I saw Daryl reach to his side and he pulled out a large knife.
"Watch the knife!" T-dog yelled over to Shane who was standing in front of Daryl. Daryl slashed at Rick and he just took a step back dodging that attack. I pushed Rick back a bit more. He had a family he didn't need to die because some redneck can't keep his anger under control. Me on the other hand. All I had was Shane and Rick and I know they would be just fine without me. Carl hell he barely even recognized me. I grabbed Daryl's arm and twisted it behind him slamming his wrist down on my knee. He dropped the knife. Then I pushed him back and he fell into Shane's arms. Shane locked him in a headlock and I looked down to notice a small but kinda deep cut on my forearm.
'Ugh just great.' Lori noticed the blood now dripping down my fingertips so she came over to me.
"Hey are you okay?" I nodded
"Yeah I'm fine. I got a first aid kit in my truck. I'll fix it up in a second." She nodded and moved back to the trailer.
"You'd best let me go!" Daryl yelled trying to get out of Shane's death grip.

"Nah, I think it's better if I don't." Daryl was now basically on the ground with Shane still right behind him.
"Choke holds are illegal." He said through some grunts of frustration.
"You can file a complaint." Shane said which caused me to smirk a bit. Rick started to walk back up to Daryl sitting on his hind legs in front of him.
"Come on man. We'll keep this up all day." Daryl said. This man honestly didn't know when to give the fuck up.
"I'd like to have a calm discussion on this topic. Do you think we can manage that? Do you think we can manage that?" Rick asked Daryl moving towards his face just to make sure he heard Rick clearly. Daryl didn't say anything but, I noticed the look my two brothers exchanged. It was very much the 'he's given up' look. They used to use it on me when we would get in arguments.
Shane let Daryl go with a thud he fell to the ground on his back. I watched Daryl flip off Shane and I chuckled at it. I walked over to Shane and stood next to him.
"You good?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Yeah, you?" He pointed to the blood on my hand. I nodded back at him with a reassuring smile.
"Yeah just a nick. I'll be fine. Like this is going to kill me." He smirked and we watched as Rick kneeled in front of Daryl.
"What I did was not on a whim. Your brother does not work or play well with others." That's when T-dog spoke up. All eyes snapped to him.
"It's not Rick's fault. I had the key. I dropped it." He said, I could tell that he felt bad by the sound in his voice. But rednecks must be rednecks.
"You couldn't pick it up?" I sighed and shook my head. It wasn't really anyone's fault. It was Merle's.
"Well, I dropped it in a drain." Daryl scoffed and got up throwing a rock walking past T-dog.
"If it's supposed to make me feel better, it don't." Daryl said just to add to T-dog's guilt.
"Maybe this will." T-dog said. I knew he was just trying to give Daryl some hope that his brother was fine and still alive.
"Look, I chained the door to the roof so the geeks couldn't get at him. With a padlock." I walked closer to Daryl.
"It's gotta count for something." I said trying to make a shit situation even a little bit better. I watched a few tears fall down Daryl's face. He quickly wiped them away.
"Hell with all y'all!" He yelled at the rest of the camp.
"Just tell me where he is so's I can go get him." Daryl was adamant on getting his brother back or at least getting some closer. I understood that fully.
"He'll show you. Isn't that right?" Lori said, still leaning against the RV. I just looked at her like what the fuck. We had already barely made it out alive the first time, how the hell were we supposed to do it all again.
"I'm going back." I turned to look at Rick.
"What have you lost your mind? We barely made it out of there the first time and you want to go back!" I yelled at him waving my injured arm towards the city. Lori just got into the RV and Daryl walked off to get his crossbow.
"Raven. You know I have to." I rolled my eyes at him. I couldn't hear this shit.
"No Rick you don't." That's all I said to him before walking off to my truck to take care of my arm. Everyone went about their day and Rick pulled on his sheriff outfit. I was putting stitches into my arm when someone walked over to me.
I looked up and was met by some piercing blue eyes that I was slowly growing fond of seeing.
"What?" I said to the man that was standing in front of me. I was sitting on the tailgate of my truck pouring rubbing alcohol onto my arm.
"I'm sorry." I looked back up at him and noticed he was biting the skin on the corner of his thumb.
"I'm fine." I said and pulled the needle through my arm again finishing the stitches.
"Nah you ain't. That was a deep one." I nodded and wrapped my arm with gauze to keep out any dirt and to keep it from getting infected.
"Yeah, Well I've had a lot worse. So don't break your back over it." I said jumping down off my truck and walking over to the side door to put the stuff away. He followed me over there.
"I ain't breakin nothin. I've never hurt a woman. Don't plan on startin'." I turned and looked at him.
"Look, I know my brother and I ain't part of your group and don't belong to here according to you but, his wife and son are here. My real brother is here. And we ain't goin' nowhere. So if you got a problem, I would try talkin' instead of stabbing people." I turned on my heel, closed the door and my tailgate and left Daryl standing there.

Tale of Family - Book 1 - WIP
The world is peaceful in 2063. Fusion reactor and Diamon battery had taken care of the energetical problem. Countries were stable. Automation was everywhere. Life wasn't hard anymore, at least not in the United States of Europe. Summer break is about to start and, finally, Zoe will turn 18 and be able to play the game, Binding Fate. A simple video game, a vrmmo, but what swam under its surface wasn't simple. Power, fame and money were but the tip of the iceberg... State: Hiatus because I've an idea for another story. Quick F.A.Q. : - Yuri/female homosexual relation? Yes.- Yaoi/male homosexual relation? Maybe.- Explicit Sexual Content? Maybe.- Full Fledged Tragedy? No. Never, ever ever.- Body Modification/Body Horror? Yes. (Note: what one person think is body horror can be acceptable for someone else. If you want to see to what length I can go, read a bit of The Other Labyrinth. However, I won't go as high as quickly in the body mod/horror, so relax.- Gore? Hell yeah! I love gore! spraying blood and viscera etc...- Torture? Hurgh... maybe? Idk. Not at the start at the very least.- Memory loss/erasing? No, or at least not permanently. I basically hate this trope because it's like taking out all the character grow from a character, destroying everything that makes them what and who they are. so no.- Overpowered protagonist? You will see mufufu...- Will characters stay relevant seeing how numerous they are? YES, MOTHERFUCKING YES, I hate when characters relevance decay over time for no good reasons ^^'- Plot Armor? First of all, a definition: "Sometimes referred to as "Script Immunity" or a "Character Shield", Plot Armor is when a main character's life and health are safeguarded by the fact that he's the one person who can't be removed from the story. Therefore, whenever Bob is in a situation where he could be killed (or at the least very seriously injured), he comes out unharmed with no logical, in-universe explanation." (courtesy of https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PlotArmor I love you guys ^^) So now that this is said, do my characters have plot armour? No, because I always have an in-universe explanation, even if you don't know it yet ^^ Something is illogical or don't make sense? Read more, the answer is surely in the story ^u^- Balanced system? If you want to crush numbers and have a perfect equation balancing all the system, that's not the story for you. The system is more like a living being, and the rewards aren't forcibly tied to the level of the player. In fact, the system is purposely unbalanced ^^' Author's note: My goal here is to write a slow-paced story revolving around the bonds linking the characters, be them family, friends or lovers. Fight will be part of it, but I intend to build an actual interesting world before making truly large-scale battle happen, because the bigger a battle is, the larger its causes and effects are. I also aim at telling a story about how the characters actually help each other becoming stronger, more stable and happier. I particularly despise the lone MC type that becomes so powerful that every other character of the current setting become irrelevant beside being hostage targets, so this will not happen. I also like crafting, arrays, blacksmithing etc... so there may be crafting. Another thing I like is management game like sim-city or the like, so this while also appears, keeping in mind that I like MC's that make people around them stronger... For the tropers around here, a list of tropes that I like to use (note that I may not use all of them ^^) (this list will be updated as I dive deeper and deeper into our dear trope wiki.)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BodyHorror- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SealedGoodInACan- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YouAreNotAlone- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ZombieAdvocate (In particular since I see a lot of things that aren't human as worthy to live and to live with)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvenEvilHasLovedOnes- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvenEvilHasStandards- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HeelFaceTurn- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CorruptTheCutie (Note: being corrupted don't mean you're a villain, only different than before.)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DefectingForLove (Of course.)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/VillainousRescue- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InterspeciesAdoption (For the same reasons as zombie advocate, since I love family stuff)- https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BrokenBird (to go with corrupt the cutie if it's a girl)Cover: "The Bard" by John Martin, 1817.
