《Naruto The Shinobi Hunter》Chapter 40

Naruto was standing in line with Garou, Shizune, Sasuke, and Mikoto. He yawned, it was the crack of dawn. Sasuke was being held like a toddler by Mikoto, all the while sleeping in his mother's arms. The blond boy looked around, seeing many people dressed in rags and carrying bags.
"Hey, sensei... what's with all these people? And where are we going?" Naruto questioned as Garou yawned, putting a hand over his mouth as he did so.
"These people are poor, Naruto. They came from the slums all over the Nation. They're trying to escape... much like us." Garou explained. "And we're going to a nice place, hopefully, the place hasn't changed much since I've been away, but it has to be at least decent."
Naruto shrugged as the line started to move. They followed the people in front of them, only stopping until they were at a desk. The man at the desk seemed bored as he took a sip of his mug on his desk, writing down something on a piece of paper.
"How many?" the man asked as they approached.
"5. 3 adults, 2 children," Garou answered, "we're going to Japan."
"Okay, that'll be..." but before the man could say anything, Garou threw a sack of money onto his desk.
"We'll also be needing new identities. Fake passports. Fake birth certificates. The works." Garou explained as the man went from drowsy to excited. He smirked, opening the sack as it also glowed in his face.
The man took the sack, throwing it under his desk as he clapped. He giggled a bit as he snapped his fingers and two guards came up behind him.
"Boys, take these fine folks to the NIR, please." the man said as the guards bowed, escorting the group to a nearby building. "And thank you for choosing the Gatō Company."
In a bright flash of light, Naruto almost went blind as he had his feet and fingers dipped in ink and splattered onto a piece of paper. He blinked several times before he felt his feet and hands become cold. Someone was pouring water onto him as that someone was whistling. Naruto was then picked up and carried to another chair.

"Kami damn! What the hell happened?!" Naruto asked as his sight came back to him
"Nice of you to get out of there. So, tell me, how do you feel... Noshi Gari?" Garou asked as he handed Naruto a passport. The boy looked up at his teacher and saw that he got a haircut, a buzz-cut to be more specific. Naruto opened the passport to see a picture of him, his age, his height and weight... and his new name. Nookami Gari.
"Why Noshi Gari? You could've chosen a cooler name than that." Naruto complained as he was hit in the back of the head.
"Don't give your father lip," Garou said as he pulled out his passport, showing it to him. Naruto read the passport and saw the name... Jinrō Gari. Naruto just stared at the passport, trying to process what he was looking at. "And don't go giving your mother lip, either."
Garou motioned for Shizune to come over, who sighed as she showed her passport to Naruto. Naruto looked at the passport. Her new identity. He then saw the new name Shizune was going to use... Louve Gari. Naruto shook his head, trying to make sense of this.
"So, what does this mean? Sensei, you're my dad and Shizune... you're my mom?" Naruto questioned as both of them nodded.
"*Sigh* Yes... this is going to take some time to get used to..." Shizune said, trying her best to put this situation into words. Words that would make sense to a 9-year-old (I actually forgot his age, it's been so long. Please correct me if I made a mistake.)
She then sighed once more. But before she could say anything else, Sasuke and Mikoto were wondering over.
"Hey! Naruto! Look at my new name! Mom chose it for me!" Sasuke said as he showed Naruto his passport. Naruto looked at the name and said it out loud.

"Hiruzen Gunbai... man, what is it with adults and giving us sucky names?" Naruto asked, holding his passport for Sasuke to see.
"Nookami Gari? Well, I mean, it doesn't suck that much, does it?" Sasuke looked to his mother, who shrugged with a smile.
"I am not one to judge what a parent names their child. I only have control over my own children's names." Mikoto said, walking over to them. "But if you don't like it, I guess we can change it in the future. Until then, you're going to be Ōmikami Gunbai's little Hirzuen."
She knelt down, pinching his cheek as Sasuke gave his mother a look of annoyance. Mikoto then stood back up as a pair of guards walked toward them.
"Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen, the ship is about to take off. We would advise hopping on now." One of the guards said as the group looked at each other before running out of the building. The guards ran after them, trying to make sure they got onto the right ship.
Naruto sat on a bed. It smelt horrible as he had to plug his nose just to be able to lay down on it. On top of him was Sasuke, on the bunk above him, who was doing the same thing.
"These beds smell like rotten eggs and ruined meat," Naruto complained.
"Yeah, these things suck!" Sasuke agreed with him, rolling over to look down at his friend. "Why couldn't we have gotten good, not bad-smelling beds?"
"Boys, you better be grateful for what you have. I'm stuck sleeping on the floor."
Both boys looked down at Garou, who had nothing but a blanket and a pillow in his arms as he was laying down on the cold, metal floor. Both the boys looked away as they nodded.
"Yes, Dad/ Mr. Gari." they said, trying to use the new formalities they had just gotten. Sasuke had to start calling him by his last name and Naruto had to start calling him dad. Many people would be asking questions if Naruto was really Garou's son, but Garou could always use the excuse 'He was adopted, you got a problem with that?' and nobody would question him any further.
As they got settled into their new abode, the speakers came on, causing Naruto and Sasuke to cover their ears. The speakers were old and made a screeching sound that hurt their ears. It hurt Naruto more, for some strange reason.
'Attention passengers, this is your captain speaking. Firstly I would like to thank you for choosing Gatō Company as your choice of illegal border crossing and human smuggling. Secondly, if we are caught by any border patrol, please due note that we are jumping ship and you will be on your own. Thirdly, please do sit tight as we'll be taking a cinque route to avoid all major ship routes, so our trip will take us about 1 to 3 months, depending on how lucky we are. Again, we thank you for choosing Gatō Company as your choice of illegal border crossing and human smuggling.'
The speakers then made another screeching noise as they went off, making Naruto and Sasuke cover their ears once more.
"Huh... well, at least they're honest about it. Most I can say for a bunch of crooks, but I've seen worse." Garou commented as he rolled over.

Reincarnated as a Warlock with zero skill
My previous life was just as boring as yours. I was a marketing manager for a flooring company. The biggest challenge? Would the latest colour be called "Grey Oak" or "Oak Grey". Then, tragedy. I was struck down in the prime of my life by a negligent delivery driver and a pallet of laminate flooring - which is significantly heavier than you think. So there I was, smeared on the floor, absorbed in my own self pity. Where would I go? Heaven? Hell. Did I care? Apparently that was not what fate had in store for me. Reborn in a world of dragons and fantasy, I became a Warlock. A pretty darn important one too. The problem, I had little to no affinity to magic and I spent most of my time doing my best to avoid danger. Danger however, would not avoid me. So, with my new life as an amazing Warlock you'd think it would be easy street right? Wrong. Forces gather to move against the Kingdom I am sworn to protect and, whilst my inward allegiance is to whomever is the victor, outwardly I must lead the resistance against the invaders. With my skilled companions Asha - a mage that can actually do magic and Torg - a swordsman sworn to protect me, I can only hope that they distract the enemy long enough for me to run away.
