Minato stood in front of the masked trio as his eyes narrowed, "Shit! It's the Fourth!" the bear-masked man shouted
"Damn-it!" the tiger-masked woman said, "Retreat!"
"It's a little late for that," Minato said as he appeared behind the woman and stabbed her in the neck with a three-pronged kunai. Blood sprayed out of the woman's neck as Minato removed the kunai and stared down the other two. They tried to run, but Minato took out a hand-full of his special kunai and threw them in their direction. He vanished as he appeared next to the bear-masked man and kicked him in the head. Disappearing again, Minato reappeared next to the cat-masked man and punched him in the ribs. This action caused Bear and Cat to fly towards each other as Minato crossed his fingers and said: "Shadow-Clone Jutsu!" as a clone of him appeared. Both Minato and his clone vanished in a yellow flash as they appeared next to Bear and Cat. they both proceeded to punch and kick them into the air as Minto appeared in the sky and his clone on the bottom. Minato formed a blue orb on his hands as his clone mimicked him, also forming a blue orb. He then extended his hand as the clone jumped into the air, "RASENGAN!" Minato his clone shouted as their attacks struck the ROOT members, turning them into a red mist. The shadow clone vanished in a puff of smoke as Minato landed on the ground. Minato stood up as he walked over to Naruto and Sasuke, "Are you two alright?" Minato asked
"Y-yeah, w-we're fine," Naruto answered
"W-Where's Itachi? W-where's Nii-san?!" Sasuke asked as Minato picked both of them up
"I don't know, but I'm taking you both home right now," Minato said as they disappeared.
Sasuke stood next to his mother as two ANBU were behind them. Naruto was standing with Kushina as they all stood at the entrance to the Uchiha Compound, "How could this have happened?" Mikoto whispered as she held Sasuke's hand
"We are currently gathering information as of the moment, but all signs are pointing to Danzo and his ROOT... yet... there is another thing you must be informed of," the ANBU captain guarding them stated
"What is it?" Mikoto asked as the captain pulled out a sword. The hilt was embroidered with the Uchiha Family Crest as Mikoto gasped, "N-no, p-please no," Mikoto said as she grabbed it
"I'm sorry, Lady Uchiha, but... your son, Itachi... was involved in the attack. We found it with your husband. Fugaku died a painless death," the captain explained as Mikoto began to cry. She fell to her knees as she wept and wept, Sasuke trying to comfort her, "M-Mama, why are you crying? What's wrong? Where's Tou-san?" Sasuke asked as Mikoto shook her head
"I-I'm sorry Sasuke, T-tou-san... T-Tou-san's not coming," Mikoto cried as Sasuke shook his head
"W-What do you mean? Where's Tou-san?! Where's Itachi-nii?!" Sasuke repeated as Kushina walked over to the two of them and hugged them. Naruto stood by, silent as he tightened his fists and gritted his teeth, "Impossible," Naruto muttered
"Hm?" the captain asked

"THIS IS BULLSHIT AND YOU KNOW IT!!" Naruto shouted as he pointed at the ANBU captain
"Naruto!" Kushina said as she looked at him
"Are you even listening?! Itachi killing Sasuke's Dad?! That's impossible! We didn't even see him when we were there! Only those ANBU in blank masks!" Naruto shouted
"Naruto-"
"Where's your common sense?! Kami-damnit, Sasuke, do you believe any of this?!" Naruto asked as he looked at Sasuke
"I-I don't know," Sasuke whispered
"What?"
"I-I said I don't know!" Sasuke screamed, "I don't know what's going on?! I want my Tou-chan! I want Itachi-nii!!" Sasuke cried out as he started to weep. Naruto gritted his teeth even more as he started running away from them, "Naruto!" Kushina shouted as Mikoto grabbed her apron
"Kushina... l-let him go, he's a-as sad as us," Mikoto explained
"B-but Mikoto!"
"Kushina... please... j-just... let him go," Mikoto repeated as Kushina watched Naruto run away from them.
Garou was digging a hole in the ground as several bundles of bamboo were next to him. He set aside the shovel he was using and picked up one of the bamboo bundles. Placing the bundle in the hole, Garou filled it with dirt and packed it in. Giving it a few taps, Garou nodded as he said: "Alright, now to do it a few more times before- what the hell is that?" Garou said to himself as he heard someone coming toward him. Turning around, he saw Naruto running full speed toward him, "Naruto! You're late! What took you so- oof!" Garou said as Naruto ran into him and wrapped his arms around him, "H-hey! What's the matter with you?!"
"I-Itachi k-killed e-everyone," Naruto cried into Garou's shirt
"Eh?"
"Itachi killed the Uchiha Clan!" Naruto shouted as he looked up at Garou, tears streaming down his cheeks as snot fell from his nose. Garou was a bit disgusted at the way Naruto was wiping his snot all over his shirt, but Garou swallowed his pride as he knelt down and pulled Naruto off of him, "Naruto, calm down. What the hell happened?" Garou asked as Naruto continued to cry
"L-Last n-night, S-Sasuke a-and I w-went to-to the Uch-hia C-Compound a-and b-blank A-ANBU p-people s-showed up-up a-and... k-killed t-the U-Uchi-ha C-C-lan a-and I-Ita-chi k-killed F-Fugaku a-and n-now I-Ita-chi i-is a r-rou-ge n-ninja," Naruto explained as best he could and understand at the time. Garou's eyes narrowed as he hugged Naruto, "It's alright, kid. Everything will be fine... everything will be fine," Garou whispered as Naruto continued to cry in his arms.
Naruto was dressed in a three-piece suit as he stood outside of the Hokage office. His hands were covered in cloth wrappings to hide the injuries on his knuckles from the 'anger management' with Garou. In other words, Naruto has been beating trees and shoving his fingers into bamboo bundles, almost breaking his hands in the process. He had just gotten back from the funeral for the Uchiha Clan as he held a piece of paper in his hand. Naruto looked down at it as it had the signature of his mother on the back, "Damn-it, Dad," Naruto whispered a he was about to knock on the door, when he heard voices on the other side

"What do you mean he's not talking?!" Minato shouted from the other side as Naruto raised an eye-brow
"I'm sorry, Lord Hokage, but he's tougher than I expected. Give me at least a few more days and I'll be able to tell you even the guys favorite song," another voice said as Naruto pressed his ear against the door
"Ibiki, listen to me! Danzo made a move before I authorized anything! I knew the Uchiha Clan was going to try something, but I needed more information! Hell, Itachi was supposed to put them in a mass-genjutsu if things came down to it and we'd wall off the Uchiha Clan, only allowing a select few to pass!" Minato explained as Naruto covered his mouth
"I understand. But right now, finding Danzo is more important than finding Itachi. I have several units looking for anything useful. We finished sweeping his house and we found nothing useful," Ibiki replied
"I've heard enough. Go back to getting information out of the ROOT Agent my son beat down,"
"You know, I'm surprised your son took down a ROOT Agent actually. The man's now only got one testicle, missing two front teeth, and a broken rib. I thought you didn't train him?"
"Ibiki, I'm tired, go back to work,"
"R-right away, Lord Hokage," Ibiki replied as Naruto slowly backed away from the door. Naruto stood in front of the door as it opened to reveal a man wearing a cloak and two scars on his face.
"What are you doing here, kid?" Ibiki asked as Naruto quickly stood up straight and showed him the letter, "for your father, huh? Go right in," he said as he stepped to the side and held the door open
"Thank you," Naruto said as Ibiki nodded. Naruto walked inside as he saw his father rubbing the bridge of his nose. He too was dressed in a three-piece suit, but he also had his Hokage-robe on as he sculpted back into his chair, "Naruto? What are you doing here?" Minato asked
"Mom told me to give you this," Naruto said as he placed the letter on the desk. Minato reached out for the letter as he looked at his son, "Hey, Naruto? Could you please grab me some coffee? It's just right over there," Minato said as he pointed to the coffee stand in his office
"Yeah, sure," Naruto replied as he grabbed a cup and placed it under the coffee machine. Naruto pushed a button as the cup slowly filled with coffee, "Hey, Dad?"
"Hm? What is it?"
"Who's the old guy with the bandages?" Naruto asked, looking at a picture of Danzo and playing the ignorant child
"Oh? That's Danzo Shimura, he was one of Hiruzen's friends when he was a genin. But you shouldn't worry about him," Minato answered as Naruto brought him his coffee
"Here you go,"
"Thank you," Minato said as he started to sip it. Naruto stood there for a few seconds before he bowed and left. Walking down the stairs to the front desk, Naruto looked up at the receptionist as he pulled on a cute act, "Excuse me? Receptionist lady?" Naruto asked as the receptionist looked over the counter
"Hello, Naruto-kun!" the receptionist said, "How can I help you?"
"Can you tell me where Mr. Danzo lives? Dad asked me to get something from him," Naruto lied
"Oh? And what do you need to get?" she asked as Naruto smiled and put a finger over his lips
"It's a secret!" Naruto said cutely as the receptionist smiled
"Alright sweetheart, I'll tell you where Mr. Danzo lives," the receptionist replied as Naruto laughed in his mind. She gave Naruto the directions to the Shimura residence as he waved her goodbye and ran as fast as he could. The rain poured down around him as he ran, covering himself with his jacket. Naruto soon approached Danzo's home as he saw 'do not cross' tape on the front. Naruto looked around for a way to get inside as he saw an open window on the second floor and saw a nearby tree. Naruto quickly ran to the tree and he climbed up the side and slowly walked across the branch closest to the window.
Taking a deep breath, Naruto jumped through the window and landed on a bed, "Huh, convenient," Naruto whispered as he crawled off the bed. Naruto looked around the room to find only a few books, some scrolls... and magazines. One was labeled 'PlayBoy' and the other 'Kunoichi's Gone Rouge' and they were both covered in dust. Naruto tossed them to the side as he looked under the bed to see several weapons and an old box. Naruto grabbed the box and he blew onto it, creating a large dust cloud. Naruto coughed as he opened it to reveal a box of pictures of a woman in revealing poses. Naruto grabbed on as he turned it over and it read 'Koharu XOXO' and some lip-stick next to the writing. Naruto blushed as he placed the photo back in the box and shoved it back under the bed.
A few seconds passed as Naruto pulled the box back out and grabbed the picture, placing it in his coat pocket and shoving the box back under the bed, 'I could use this with ero-sennin if I ever get the chance,' Naruto thought as he got off the floor and walked out of the room. Pictures hung from the walls as he saw pictures of Dazno and Hiruzen with the Second Hokage, along with two others... one of them looking very familiar, like the woman in the photo Naruto, currently had in his pocket. Naruto blushed at the thought of Danzo having pictures of the girl until he shook the thought away. Entering another room, Naruto discovered an office filled with scrolls, books, and a single desk in the middle of it all. Naruto looked around, seeing scrolls for jutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. But it was useless to him. He had no idea what he was looking for, but he'd know it when he found it. Wandering aimlessly through the office, Naruto finally made it to the desk as he looked under it and saw a kunai. Naruto shrugged as he then opened a drawer and saw a piece of paper with ink on it.
Naruto's eyes widened as the paper suddenly caught on fire and Naruto recoiled, "FUCK!" Naruto shouted as it exploded in his face, causing him to blackout.

Rise of the First Necromancer
Asrael Nessarat awakes on a sandy dune with a mouthful of sand and nothing but tattered rags in his posession. As the High Magus of the school of Necromancy, he once aspired to prove to the Emperor that magic still held a place in their society. But that day came, passed and inevitably accelerated his kind's downfall. Now; they are hunted, strung up and burned on pyres throughout the Empire by the Emperor's holy Inquisition- an efficient and ruthless army hell-bent on bleeding every last droplet of magic from the lands. With nothing but a mouthful of sand and tattered rags; Asrael is determined to seek the one thing his cold, still heart desires. Vengeance. This story can, at times, get very dark. It is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is not a story of an overtly powerful wizard who can pulverize his enemies from across the world, nor is it in any way, shape or form a joyous tale. We follow Asrael as he and his companions explore and seek to change an unjust world, where kindness and acceptance are exceptions, rather than the rule. If you are looking for a story to inspire hope or joy, this is not it. If you wish to read about likeable, heroic people, turn around. If you wish to see good battle evil, where the cut in between is clear, then this is not for you.

Cover Art: Undead Master by Changling Assassin. Located at: http://fav.me/dbm60ex Used under license Creative Commons attribution non-commercial 3.0 per bottom right of the linked page. Summary: Just the story of a necromancer and his eventual army. Currently, the only major thing of note is a pretty fleshed out magic system. No set list of spells or specific incantations. Just rules similar to the laws of physics, within those laws you can do whatever is possible. Updates: I work Sunday thru Wednesday and updates tend to revolve around my scheduled days off. Currently, I release content as I feel it's ready for release because that's what I myself would prefer from an author. Warnings: This story is graphic. blood/necromancy magic that requires self-harm to use. explicit descriptions of sexuality. (though fairly tame outside of the marked chapters, at least compared to said chapters) and is generally darker in tone. If you're concerned you might start to read only to be turned off by these elements. See 7. Teetering on the Edge for an example of the graphic nature of violence or 9. Explicit Content for a fairly self-contained example of the most explicit of the sexual content.
8 121Rise of the Undead king

My prayers go out to you and your child, I offer you my soul and ask you as a mere woman let this one never die. So it began, my journey to become a king of undead. Will the gods be watching? ----------------------------------------------------Hey, this is my first attempt to writing a story and is initially practice. With this story I'm not yet entirely sure where to go, maybe someone else will be the zombie king. Eventually I do wish to split this story into two. I just hope who ever reads it, will enjoy some of it. Have a good day all of you. Ps. That's my cat Noesje on the picture.
8 184Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.
8 202Knights of the Partition
We like to think there are no monsters. No magic, no gods, nothing waiting in the night but the stars and cold, hard science. It’s a comforting thought. It isn't true. Magic isn't common, mind you. Working forces is difficult in the Age of Man, and gods are limited in the ways they interact with the world. The great monsters of old have mostly been slain, or sealed away. But rare or not, the magic isn't gone. The great Working that protects us from the horrors of the past does not have the power to destroy such things. Instead, it created the Partition, a tapestry of worlds beyond the boundary of our own. There the magic roams, searching for a way to come back. I am a Knight of Avalon. One of the protectors of the Partition. How did I get this job? Poor decisions, mostly.
8 168Dark Beginnings
A young man named Solomon finds a strange book that holds mysterious powers. Will he embrace the magick that he's destined to wield, or will he turn from it and try to live a Normal life without magick and demons.
