(Y/n POV)
Remember that lamplighter?
Yes. him, me and him now are gaining more relationships with him
"Hey!" I plopped myself onto his back
"What now?" He sighed at my childish behavior. I just snatch his hat and put it on my head to joke around with him
"Let's go have a walk around the realms, you look like you need to have a good rest"
"I need to ask for permission to go off from my duty," he said stretching himself, "well what are you waiting for then, lets go!" I snatched his cape hard. Dragging him off
.

.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"Please! Just once!" I coo
"Well, it's not his week to be out of work yet" the elder acknowledge, I frowned. "He needs a little rest, just once!"
"Well. A little rest won't hurt but in return, you're going to help him on this duty"
"Anything for you!"
*
"Did you seriously begged?"
"Of course! Just for you and me!" I cried out pridefully. He mentally facepalms "but didn't you hear them? In return, you help me with my job!"
"So what? You're my friend and I care for you!" I punch his back playfully
"Do you even know how to perform such a task?"
"No"
He sighed.
"Jobs are for olds people! Let's live your life first!" I tugged his chains and ran out on the wild.
This guy must be so attached to his jobs, he doesn't know much about the outer realms. But it was still fun to take a little walk around the sky kingdoms
We traveled from the beginning, Isle of dawn wasn't my favorite. Everything is just sand, but I let him explore a bit

Then we go to Praire. I even gave him a chance to ride the big manta, surprisingly he enjoyed it and begged me to ride it again.
And even meet some other ancestors' spirits, letting him play in Valley ice rink, and even trolling the krill. It was all blast and a half.
When we got back to the vault, I toured him around the vault until the most upper floor.
"This is what inside the Vault? it's beautiful. The stars. It's shiny" He said amazed.
"Pffft- it's classic"
We both sat down on the soft grass gazing at the stars
"I... Honestly regret myself so bad"
"What do you mean?"
"I miss so many things about the realms. They are so mesmerising. But all I care about is just my jobs"
"It concerned me a bit also that you're the type of guy that follows the book" I whispered
"So, now you regret it?" I smirked a little admitting myself being the winner. "I. Fine, I do.. You win"
I snort
It was silenced between us. Probably we're just going to admire this silence at a moment, "it's almost my job time" he suddenly adds while standing up.
"Race to the bottom" he chanted as he runs to the platform
I was still sitting on the ground, then just sprint to race him "not fair! Get back here!"

Mud's Mission
The story begins with an elderly hermit mage living on the outskirts of a labyrinth town. Invoking spellwork that is trivial for a mage of his caliber, he creates a simple mud automaton to aid him in household chores. However, in the middle of his efforts, something goes wrong; his ancient heart finally fails. Now, half complete and with limited understanding of the world, an artificial being of mud stirs. Despite its limitations, it has a mission to fulfill. The last instructions of a dying creator. "Defend my home, and my possessions." To the mechanical mind of Mud, only absolute perfection is acceptable when fulfilling the orders of The Master. Mud will make sure nothing in the universe will ever threaten The Master's home! --- This fiction contains RPG elements such as skills and levels. The protagonist has an inhuman mind and acts on instincts and preferences that are completely different from those of a normal human, and may at times fly in the face of common sense. The general tone is lighthearted, but there are some scenes with disturbing content such as mind control and references to torture. Join our Discord to discuss the novel or chat with the author.
