《Clato》chapter twenty-five

Clyde walked quietly, his head held low, he hid his hands so no one could see them trembling.

Cato looked over and groaned.

Clove walked into the camp.

"Three here says he could make a protection for the supplies." She announced.

Cato soon switched thoughts about the boy.

Marvel strolled over. "How?" He asked.

Clyde looked towards the platforms, "You could dig up the mines around the platforms."

Glimmer looked genuinely interested as she watched. "What would that do?" She asked.

Clove understood, slightly. "And how would we reactivate them?"

Clyde told them how to, "I learnt it at school back in my district." He said after it all.

Cato was sitting down. "It's an idea."

"It's our only idea." Marina said flatly.

Cato shot her a glare. "I'd like to see you come up with something else then!" He snapped.

"Well unfortunately my district doesn't have any experience on building things." Marina replied.

"Not even anything with nets?" Cato laughed out loud, a mocking laugh. "You're pathetic, why are you even with us?"

Marina grabbed a trident next to her and threw it just above Cato's head, flattening his hair. Marina smirked. "That's why." She walked back inside the cornucopia and sat down, searching through the food.

Cato gasped, getting up, running a hand through his hair. "You little cow!"

Marina looked up. "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ruin your perfect hair."

Clove watched Clyde start to back off. She threw a knife just above his head and shook her head while looking at him. Clyde scurried back.

Cato clenched his jaw, grabbing a sword and marching away.

Clove didn't know what to do. Cato had snapped at Marina, but that didn't give Marina the right to attack him.

"Let's everybody just calm down, ok?" Peeta suggested, stepping in. "I think the guy has a good idea there. We could place the mines around or supplies, and keep them safe like that. How about we just give it a go?"

Clyde was quiet.

Cato ventured out into the woods; not giving a damn.

Clove took a step towards Marina and threw a knife into her lower leg before running after Cato.

"Cato!" She called.

Cato looked behind. "Hmmm?"

"Where are you going?" Clove asked.

"Hunting." He answered.

"Can I come?" Clove did want to get away from the group too. She also didn't want Cato getting hurt.

Cato weighed up whether he should go alone or not. Thresh was out there. "I think we'll get the group to go as well," he told her quietly. "Gotta find Fire Girl."

Clove nodded her head. "I'll get Three to set up the mines while we're gone." She smelt something peculiar. "Do you smell smoke?" She asked Cato.

Cato inhaled slightly, choked a bit. "Yeah.. Must be someone's campfire, if they're out there then we can get 'em."

Clove walked out of the forest to get a better view. "Cato." she pointed to where the smoke was coming from above the tree-tops. "That is no campfire."
