《Destroy Me (Book 1) A Supernatural Story》10-Trick Or Treat

Dean and Calliope were having no luck with any of Tracy's school friends, none of them knew much about her, or had any idea where they would find her. They decided to just head back to the motel and meet up with Sam see if he had any luck on his end. Dean parks the Impala and the two of them get out, and start to head for the motel when Sam meets up with them.
"So?" Dean asks him.
"Tracy was nowhere I could find, any luck with her friends?" Sam asks him.
"Nah, luck is not our style. Her friends don't know where she is, it's like the bitch popped a broomstick" Dean remarks as they make their way toward the motel room, "She could be making the third sacrifice any time" Sam says to them.
"Yeah thanks for that info Sam" Calliope says sarcastically as a boy with an astronaut helmet on walks up to the three of them.
"Trick or Treat" the boy says to them.
"This is a motel" Dean says to the boy.
"So?" the kid says.
"So we don't have any candy" Dean tells him.
"I'm sure we might still have some in the uhh" Calliope starts to say when Dean inturppts her.
"We did but it's gone" he says to the boy, "Sorry kid, we can't help ya" he adds.
"I want candy" the boy demands.
"Well, I think you've had enough" Dean remarks as the boy glares at Dean, when he walks by shoving himself into Dean, who just puts his hands up as the boy walks away.
"That was a little mean Dean "Calliope remarks as she goes to open the motel door.
As she enters the room, Sam follows her inside, and immediately steps infront of her, and draws his gun, "Who are you!" Sam demands of the person who was in the middle of their motel room.
"Sam, Sam! It's okay....It's Castiel" Calliope tells him as she then makes him lower his gun, "the angel" she adds.
"Him, we don't know" Dean says when they spot another figure in the room standing by the window.
"Hello, Sam" Castiel says to Sam, who has a smile on his face, exited to finally meet Castiel.
"Oh-my-God-er-uh-I didn't mean to-sorry. It's an honour, really I- I've heard a lot about you" Sam says as he holds his hand out for Castitel to shake, as Dean closes the door. Castiel looks at Sam's hand confused by what to do with it, Sam then shakes the hand, and Castiel realizes what he is to do.
"And I, you, Sam Winchester" he says shaking his hand, "the boy with the demon blood, glad to see you've ceased your extracurricular activities" he adds.
"Let's keep it that way" the other man in the room says.
"Yeah, okay chuckles" Dean says as he looks over at Castiel, "Who's your friend?" he asks him.
"This the raising of Samhain, have you stopped it?" Castiel asks clearly ignoring the question of who the other person is.
"Why?" Dean asks him.
"Dean, Callie have you located the witch?" he then asks them.
"Yes, we've located the witch" Dean says.
"And is the witch dead?" Castiel asks.
"No, but-" "We know who it is" Dean inturppts Sam saying.
Castiel then goes over to the table that is between the beds, "Apparantly the witch knows who you are too" he says to them, as he picks up a hex bag and shows them, "This was inside the wall of your room. If we hadn't have found it, surely one or both of you but not Calliope would be dead. Do you know where the witch is now?" Castiel asks them.

The three of them share a look, "We're working on it" Dean tells him.
"That's unfourtante" Castiel says to him.
"What do you care?" Dean asks,
"The raising of Samhain is one of the 66 seals" Castiel says to them.
"So this is about your buddy Lucifer" Dean asks.
"Lucifer is no friend of ours" the other man in the room says.
"It's just an expression" Dean clarifies.
"Lucifer cannot ride, the breaking of the seal must be prevented at all costs" Castiel explains.
"Okay, so you are here, why don't you tell us where the witch is and we take care of her and everybody can go home" Calliope says to him.
"We are not omniscient, this witch is very powerful, she's cloaked even our methods" Castiel tells her.
"Okay, well we already know who she is, so if we work together" Sam suggests.
"Enough of this" the other man declares.
"Okay, who are you and why should I care?" Dean asks the man.
"This is Uriel, he's what you might call a...specialist" Castiel explains to them.
"What kind of specialist? What are you gonna do?" Dean asks Uriel.
"You-the three of you-you need to leave this town immediately" Castiel says to them.
"Why?" Calliope asks.
"Because we're about to destroy it" he tells her and the three of them share worried glances between them.
"So that's your idea of handling this situation, destroying a whole town?" Calliope asks him.
"We're out of time, this witch has to die, the seal must be saved" Castiel tells her.
"There are a thousand people here" Sam tells him.
"One thousand two hundred fourteen" Castiel says preciescley.
"And you're willing to kill them all?" Sam asks him.
"This isn't the first time I've...purified a city" Uriel says.
"Look, I understand this is regrettable" Castiel says to them.
"Regrettable?" Dean says to Castiel.
"We have to hold the line, too many seals have broken already" Castiel says to Dean.
"So you screw the pooch on some seals and this town has to pay the price?" Dean asks the Angel.
"It's the lives of one thousand against the lives of six billion, there's a bigger picture here" Castiel says trying to defend their descison.
"Right cause you're bigger picture kind of guys" Dean remarks.
"Lucifer cannot rise, he does and hell raises with him. Is that something that you're willing to risk?" Castiel says to Dean.
"We can stop this witch before she can summon anyone, the seal won't be broken and no one has to die" Calliope says to Castiel.
"We're wasting time with these mud monkeys" Uriel says.
Castiel turns away from Dean to look at Uriel, "I'm sorry but we have our orders" Castiel then says.
"No, you can't do this, you're angels, I mean aren't you suppose to- you're supposed to show mercy" Sam says to him.
"Says who?" Uriel asks.
"We have no choice" Castiel tells them.
"Of course you have a choice. I mean, come on, what? You've never questioned a crap order, huh? What are you both, just a couple of hammers?" Dean says to the two Angels.
"Look, even if you can't understand it, have faith, the plan is just" Castiel tries to explain to them.
"How can you even say that?" Sam asks him.
"Because it comes from heaven, that makes it just" Castiel says.
"Oh, it must be nice, to be so sure of yourselves" Dean sarcastically remakrs.
"Tell me something Dean, when your father gave you an order, didn't you obey?" Castiel asks looking at Dean.

Dean looks back at Castiel, taking a second before answering, "Well sorry boys, looks like the plans have changed"
"You think you can stop us?" Uriel asks Dean.
Dean moves over to Uriel standing infront of him, "No, but if you're gonna smite this whole town, then you're gonna have to smite us with it, because we are not leaving. See you went to the trouble of busting me out of hell. I figure I'm worth something to the man upstairs, so you wanna waste me, go ahead, see how he digs that" Dean tells him.
"I will drag you out of here myself" Uriel warns him.
"Yeah, but you'll have to kill me, then we're back to the same problem. I mean, come on, you're gonna wipe out a whole town for one little witch, Sounds to me like you're compensating for something" Dean says as he turns back to look at Castiel, "We can do this, we will find that witch and we will stop the summoning" he tells him.
"Castiel! I will not let these peop-" Uriel says and Castiel holds his hand up stoping him from saying any more.
"Enough!" he says to Uriel before looking at Dean, "I suggest you move quickly" he says and the two angels disappear.
"So what now, we run around town trying to find Tracy and what take her down" Calliope asks the boys.
"Yeah, we better get a move on or this town and everyone in it will be kaput" Dean says and they grab their weapons, and head out of the hotel. As they head to the Impala, they see that its covered in eggs, Calliope laughs as Dean looks around mad.
"Astronuat!" he shouts as they get into the Impala.
Dean looks over at Sam who seems to be upset by something, "What?" he asks Sam.
"Nothing" Sam tells his brother, before sighing, "I thought they'd be different" he then say.
"Who, the angels?" Dean asks him.
"Yeah" Sam says.
"Well, I tried to tell ya" Dean says to him.
"I just...I mean I thought they'd be righteous" Sam tells them.
"Well, they are righteous, I mean that's kinda the problem. Of course there's nothing more dangerous than some a-hole who thinks thinks he's on a holy mission" Dean tells his brother.
"But, I mean, this is God? And Heaven? This is what I've been praying to" Sam says to them.
"Look man, I know you're into the whole God thing, you know, Jesus on a tortilla and stuff like that. But just because there's a coupl bad apples doesn't mean the whole barrels rotten. I mean, for all we know, God hates jerks. Don't give up on this stuff, is all I'm saying. Babe Ruth was a dick but baseball's still a beautiful game" Dean tells him.
Sam doesn't say a word, as he seems to be disappointed as he then goes through the hex bag, and takes out the charred bone.
"Well, are you gonna figure out a way to find this witch, or are you gonna sit there fingering your bone?" Dean jokes with his brother.
"Dean seriously!" Calliope says to him as he starts the Impala up.
Sam looks closer at the bone, "You know how much heat it would take to char a bone like this, Dean, Callie?" Sam asks them.
"No" Dean replies.
"Yes, more than normal, you would need something like a kitchen over, or possibly" she doesn't say anything just looks at Sam.
"Umm okay, you two care to explain" Dean asks the two of them.
"We have to make a stop" Sam tells him as they pull away.
Calliope, Dean and Sam entered the classroom they had been earlier, Sam goes over to the desk.
"So Tracy used the kiln to car the bone, what's the big deal?" Dean asks his brother.
Calliope helps Sam go through the desk, as Dean comes over to them, "Dean, think about it, who did we speak to right before the hex bag showed up in our room?" Calliope says as she then spots the bottom drawer that is latched.
"After we talked to the teacher" Dean says.
"Hey-" Calliope says pointing to the latched drawer, Sam nods and gets a hammer that is nearby, and he kneels down and hits it until the lock breaks . It finally breaks and he pulls the drawer open, inside Sam and Calliope see one charred bone and others that are not.
"My God, those are all from children" Sam says as he stands up.
"And I'm guessing he's not saving them for the dog" Dean says to the two of them.
"We need to find Don now!" Calliope says to the boys, and they leave the classroom.
"I looked up the teachers address and I got it, so what next?" Calliope says as she closes her phone and follows the boys to the Impala.
"Go in guns ablazing" Dean says as he opens the driver's door, and then the three of them get into the car. Dean drives off for the address calliope had gotten, and parks the car. The three of them grab their weapons, and head into the home. Queitly the three of the head inside, and can hear movement and a voice in the basement. Dean heads down first, his gun raised in front of him, as he goes down the stairs. He lets out three shots, hitting Don from behind, as Calliope rushes over to Tracy who is tied up.
Calliope helps cut the rope that Tracy is being held up with, as Sam goes to check on Don.
Tracy takes the gag off, "Thank you, he was gonna kill me! Ugh, that sick son of a bitch. I mean, did you see what he was doing? Did you hear him? How sloppy his incantation was?" she says confusing Calliope and the boys, they all look at her, "My brother" Tracy says and they all start to draw their guns, "Always was a little dim" she says this and starts to say an incatation, that causes the three of them to go flying across the room. The three of them wither around on the ground in pain, as Tracy goes on about her plans.
"He was gonna make me the final sacrifice, his idea, but now, that honor goes to him. Our masters return? The spellwork's a two man job, you understand, so for six hundred years I had to deal with that pompous son of a bitch. Planning, preparing, unbearable" she says this as she kneels down by Don's dead body, and picks up the knife and chalice.
"The whole time I wanted to rip his face off" she says as she digs the knife into Don, and holds the chalice up, catching the blood.
She looks over at the three who are still withering in pain, Calliope can fell her body wanting to fight, "And you get him with a gun, uh, love that" she says to the as she then goes back to the altar.
"You know back in the day, this was the one day you kept your children inside. Well tonight you'll see what Halloween really is" she says as she starts the incantation. As she does this Calliope is able to fight off the spell, and makes her way over to Don's body, where she places her hand in the blood and wipes it on her face.
"What are you doing?" Dean whispers to her.
"Just go with it" she says as she then smears the blood on Sam and Dean's face and then moves back away from Don's body. As Tracy finishes the incantation, the ground cracks and black smoke pours into Don. Dean, Sam, and Calliope look at Don, he is now inhabited by Samhien, his eyes are white with no pupils. They lay still on the floor, as the spell on them has broken. They watch as he goes up to Tracy, who he kisses.
"My love" she says to Samhein.
"You've aged" he says to her.
"This face..I can't fool you" Tracy says to the demon.
"Your beauty is beyond time" Samhein says to her as he leans their foreheads together, and he sudden;y snaps her neck, and Tracy's body falls to the floor. "Whore" he says as he turns around and sniffs the air, and looks at the three on the floor. They all lay there in the ground their eyes closed as Samhein walks right past them and leaves the basement closing the door behind him.
Dean opens his eyes and leans over to Calliope, "What the hell was that?" he whispers to her.
"Halloween lore, people would wear masks for him, so I thought I would try it" she tells him.
"You just wanted to try it?" he asks her disbelief, and she just smiles at him. After a few minutes they hear Samhein leave the house, and they all get up, leaving the house.
The three of them head toward the Impala, wiping the blood off their faces, "Where the hell do we find this mook?" Dean asks.
"Where do you go to raise other dark forces of the night?" Sam asks his brother.
"The cemetery" Dean answers.
"Yeah" Sam says and they get in the Impala, and drive off.
"So , this demon's pretty powerful" Sam casually says as they head for the cemetery.
"Yeah" Dean says to him.
"Might take more than the usual weapons" Sam says as he looks out of the corner of his eye at his brother.
"Sam, no, you're not using your psychic whatever. Don't even think about it, Ruby's knife is enough, and Calliope's special whatever" Dean says to him.
"Why?" Sam says to him.
"Well because the angels said so for once-" Dean says.
"I thought you said they were a bunch of fanatics" Sam says to him.
"Well they happen to be right about this one" Dean tells him.
"I don't know, Dean, it doesn't seem like they're right about much" Sam says.
"Well then forget the angels, okay? You said yourself, these powers, it's like playing with fire" Dean says to his brother as he picks up knife and hands it to Sam, "Please" Dean says and Sam takes the knife not saying anything else as they head to the cemetery.
Dean parks the car outside the cemetery, and they all get out, grabbing their weapons. They make their way through the cemetery, when they hear nosises coming from a crypt nearby. Calliope looks at the boys and raises her colt, motioning to them that she was headed toward the crypt. They enter the crypt to and head down the stairs, when they see a group of teenagers trapped behind a locked gate.
"Help them" Sam says to Calliiope and Dean as he starts to head back out.
"Dude, you're not going off alone" Dean tells his brother.
"Do it!" Sam says as he takes off out of the crypt.
Calliope looks at the locked door, then at the kids inside, "Stand back!" she shouts at them and they do so. She raises her hand and focuses on the locked door, when she manages to get the lock undone with her abilities and then makes the doors blast open. "Go, get out of here, move!" she shouts at the kids and they all run past her and Dean. Once the kids are gone, Dean and Calliope hear a noise, and look to see a door to a grave in the crypt is shaking, and watch as is crashes to the ground and shatters. Suddenly what appears to be a zombie comes crawling out of the grave. Another grave door begins to do the same thing, both Calliope and Dean prepare their guns, as one zombie picks up a nearby stake.
"Bring it on, stinky" Dean says as the two of them then start to fight off the zombies. They both manage to get the silver stakes from the zombies that are attacking and each take one out. Just as Calliope takes a stake out of one zombie she sees a women standing behind Dean. She goes to strike but the woman flickers then disappears, reappearing behind her. Before Calliope or Dean can react to the ghost, the ghost puts her hands out causing them both to go flying across the room, and sliding down the wall.
"Zombie ghost orgy, huh? Well that's it, I'm torching everybody" Dean remarks as he slowly gets back up. Calliope does the same and reaches into her pocket where she has a lighter in, she tosses it to Dean who grabs a piece of cloth that is nearby lighting it on fire, as he tosses it onto the zombie bodies.

Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com! Genso Suikoden: Worlds Collide
The story is set in the Queendom of Falena, the universe of the JRPG game Suikoden V. Though technically a monarchy, the aristocracy holds so much power within Falena that their squabbles and power-plays threaten to de-stablise the whole country. Complicating matters is the presence of the Sun Rune, an royal artifact of apocalyptic power and one of the 27 True Runes in the world of Suikoden. The main character is the Prince of Falena, Freyjadour, who is an unimportant figurehead not in line to the throne. During one of his royal inspections, he meets Natsu, Happy, Gray, and Erza who are a part of an alternate universe (Fairy Tail) and helps them find a way back to their home. Little do they know that it's not only them who came to this world… [This is basically a novelization of the game but with different twists due to the multiple crossovers. Therefore, there is no need to know any of the fandoms involved in this story. This will read like an actual novel itself. The universe and the characters are not owned by me.]
