《Falling (A Sam Evans Fan Fiction)》Rumours

A very angry Finn Hudson stormed into the choir room abruptly approaching Sam.
"What the hell is this, dude? What blondie former cheerleader is having a secret Moonlight Motel rendezvous with another big-lipped blondie?" He asked angrily.
"Where does it say that?" Sam asked softly, as Haley held onto him trying to comfort him, in hopes he wouldn't explode.
"Right on the front page of the school newspaper!"
"Easy, Finn, try to remain calm." Haley urged the tall boy, as she exchanged a glance with Quinn.
"You don't seriously believe this, do you?" Quinn asked.
"Well, why shouldn't I?" Finn asked. "Why wouldn't he do the same thing I did to him?"
"Because it's gossip, Finn." argued Quinn.
"And Sam isn't someone who would do this sort of thing. I'm his girlfriend. I can clarify." Haley stated as Sam kept his arm around her.
"This is your fault!" Santana yelled coming into the room towards Brittany. "You told everyone that I played for another team on your ridiculous melted cheese show."
"Wait. Are you mad? You do play for another team. You were on the Cheerios, and now you're only in the New Directions." Brittany replied.
"And you couldn't have thought of any other way to say that?"
Finn suddenly pushed at Sam. "I'm gonna punch your face off!" He began to shove Sam, who also grew angry pushing him back.
"You got a lot of nerve accusing me of cheating." Sam replied, as they continued to push and shove each other.
"Guys stop it! Stop it!" Haley yelled trying to push the boys apart. It was impossible to separate them.
"You're the one who snuck in and stole Quinn when we were together! Back before Haley and I got together!" Sam yelled.
"Hey! What's going on?" Mr. Schue yelled, moving to stand between Sam and Finn.
Finn walked out, ignoring the teacher's question.
"Finn, where are you going? We got a rehearsal!"
"Not today!" Finn yelled in response storming out of the room.
"This is going to be a long week, but I'm going to be here for you every step of the way." Haley whispered to Sam as they sat down in the back together. He gave her a grateful smile and side hug in return.
----
"What do we know about Sam anyway? I mean, what town is he from? What state? What's his old school like? Maybe he's a serial killer." Tina questioned.
"You guys, I'm telling you, Kurt wouldn't cheat on Blaine." Quinn assured, trying to help Haley defend Sam.
"It's like the Rumours album. Being apart or on the road is hard for two artists. Performers have this love the one you're with mentality. I mean, look at all of us. Look at the different combinations that we had. Finchel, Puckleberry." Rachel said.
"Tina Cohen Chang-Chang." Added Tina.
"Arttany." Artie said.
"Pizes." Puck said as he sent Lauren a wink.

"Guys' we're sitting here squabbling over what?" Asked Finn.
"An unreasonable rumour." Haley spat.
"Finn's right." Rachel nodded. "We need more information."
"You guys don't know who you are messing with. You know? How would you feel if someone came and began stalking and messing in your personal life. Things are kept private for a reason. You have to have respect." Haley ranted.
"Tell us then. You seem to be obsessed with defending Sam when all evidence points otherwise." Mercedes questioned Haley.
"Oh please, you are all wrong. Your assumptions, your points. I don't need to prove anything. Just trust us and let it go." Haley raised her voice. "I can't stand you guys right now, so I'm leaving." With that she left with Quinn trailing behind her.
----
Okay. Terrific job, guys. Might want to try to smile a bit more next time though." Mr. Schue said while he complimented Quinn and Finn's performance of I Don't Want to Know.
"Yeah, it was lovely, but I prefer Quinn's duet performance of Lucky with Sam better." Said Rachel.
"You are such a hypocrite Rachel, always on my butt, especially this week. You try to hurt or offend every chance you get. Like asking my boyfriend to the prom earlier this week. Not acceptable. What you just mentioned is not something you should say. Some things are better unsaid." Haley scoffed, she was genuinely annoyed and hurt. "I can't wait for the day I can slap you again. Better yet, let auntie snixx do it."
"Where is Sam?" Artie asked. "We know he isn't doing the dirty since Quinn, Haley and Kurt are here today."
"I know what you're doing. You want Finn and I to stop singing together so that you can sing with him again." Quinn spoke up."
"Frankly, yes. Finn and I have amazing proven harmonis. And when it comes to nationals, I think it makes more sense for him to be paired with me." Rachel said.
"Well, it's not happening. Not as long as Finn wants to be with me." Decided Quinn.
"Wait I thought you said this relationship was about trust." Finn replied.
"Oh, I trust you." Quinn assured him. "I just don't trust her." She pointed at Rachel.
"Quinn has a point dwarf." Haley commented.
"Quinn, I don't think you can mandate who pairs up for nationals. Alright? Vocal Adrenaline doesn't need any help from us." Mr. Schue explained.
"I love being here, and I want to win but my relationship comes first. I'm sorry, but Finn, if you want to be with me, no more songs with her." Quinn spat, before leaving the room.
Haley followed and turned around. "And...Berry no more trying to steal my boyfriend. We all know you are just jealous that you don't have a relationship right now. You know what? I think you are a better single." Haley spat at her. "If you ever try to approach Sam again, I will do some things that will make you regret messing in my life." She warned, before storming out.

After Rachel had sung her rendition of Go Your Own Way. Mr. Schue got up and praised her. "That was brilliant. Brilliant."
"Not bad. Don't you think it's maybe a little inappropriate that you chose to sing a love song to my guy?" Quinn asked.
"You're such a hypocrite! You Little Miss Perfect Prom Queen! You're a cheater who cheats in cheap motels with Sam." Rachel accused.
"Nothing is going on between Sam and I." Quinn added. Haley had been slumping in her chair but sat up, and made sure Sam was okay, but he wasn't.
"Enough, guys." Mr. Schue said, trying to stop the arguing and lower the tension.
"You know, I blame Sam for all of this. And Rachel too. I blame her." Santana said.
"That's rich coming from you" Haley spat at Santana. She was trying her best to defend Sam.
"What did I do?" Rachel asked.
"I'm sure you did something."
"Trust me, Berry always digs her beak in other people's business." Haley said, matter of factly.
"See, I'm with Santana. Why doesn't Sam have anything to say about this?" Lauren added.
"Guilt." Mike said.
"Seriously, dude, what you're doing is not cool. They both have boyfriends. And cheating on Haley is trashy." Puck added.
"Shut up!" Yelled Sam as he got up, Haley's hand dropping from his shoulder. "I'm not messing around with Quinn or Kurt or any of those guys. Haley is still my girlfriend. They're just helping me."
"Oh, is this what we're calling it now?" Mercedes scoffed.
"Hold on. How were they helping you out?" Mr. Schue asked, concerned.
"Kurt was bringing me clothes, and Quinn and Haley were helping me babysitting my brother and sister."
"Why were you in the motel?" Finn persisted with the questions.
"Because that's where I live now." My dad lost his job a few months ago. Then we lost our house. So now we live in that motel in one room. Are you all happy? The truth is finally out." Sam spat as he left the room upset.
"Your behaviors are incredulous. You spent all your time and energy trying to solve the truth for yourselves. It's pathetic. You should've trusted us. Now you publicly humiliated my boyfriend, violating his personal life and it isn't morally correct. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. I don't want to see or speak to any of you until you figure out what you've done and the damage you've caused. And you apologize to both Sam and I." Haley yelled before running after Sam.
----
"Sam! Wait!" Haley called after him as she caught up to him.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't think this would happen. I tried to defend you whenever they would gossip or get on my back." She rambled.
"It's alright. You're the last person that needs to apologize Hay. You've been here the whole ride, and frankly, I'm grateful. Right now I need to go home." He said.
"I'll come because I know you need someone. This was a long week and you need to rest, so I'll take care of your siblings." She assured Sam..
He nodded gratefully, as they walked out of the school.
----
"Alright clases." Mr. Schue said as he walked into the choir room.
"Mr. Schue, is this true?"
"Yeah, The Muckraker says you're bailing on us to do April Rhodes' big show." Puck commented.
"Guys, if there's anything we've learned from this week's assignment it's that you can believe every rumour you hear."
"But isn't it your dream to sing on Broadway?" Tina asked.
"I have a lot of dreams, my top one being taking you guys to nationals." Mr. Schue answered.
"So you're gonna stay?" Brittany asked.
"Look, we are going to Nationals together, and we are going to win."
Before he could continue, Haley and Sam walked into the choir room with Stacy and Stevie holding their hands.
"Hey, everybody. Wanted to get these guys out of the motel for a while. I hope it's okay if I brought them." Sam said.
"Of course. Yeah, come on in." Mr. Schue said.
"I was also hoping that maybe they could help out with a number today. I have the perfect song I want to sing to them. Don't worry. It's good for the assignment." Sam assured, smiling at Haley who smiled back while she listened to Stacy asking her a series of questions.
"The more the merrier." He smiled as he gave Sam a pat on the back.
{DON'T STOP-BY THE NEW DIRECTIONS}
----
After the song finished, Sam brought Haley to the side as the group entertained his siblings.
"I just wanted to thank you for everything." Sam said as he brought her into a hug.
"It wasn't a problem. I am happy to have helped. Thankful that this long week is over." She sighed as she leaned into him. She pulled away, but was still in his arms, and looked up at him. "Did I tell you that Stacy asked if we were going to get married one day?"
"Oh really?" He asked, raising an eyebrow and smiling.
"Yeah she did. Pretty persistent that we're soulmates."
"I think we are, you?" He asked.
"I think we are as well. There's no one else I would want. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." Haley assured him as he leaned down and kissed her, dipping her over, as she laughed while holding onto him for support and kissing him back.

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all. The Trial of Aeons will soon arrive. Book 10: Destiny Divine Synopsis: ??? Release frequency: one every few days or something, I guess. (This work is also being serialised on Webnovel under the name Revile as a trial run)
