《RWBY: Godzilla》Attack

The first attack happened that night.
The students and staff spent the entire day working to get the civilians evacuated. That shouldn't be too hard to accomplish for us, but the civilians weren't aware of the scale of the threat they were facing. Though they'd heard (Y/N)'s roar, only a few had really seen him. And when it was announced that this was just a precaution, they didn't want to leave. They didn't want to leave behind their belongings if this was an emergency, but they didn't want to pack if this was for nothing. So we just brought them to Beacon.
But there were still many civilians in the kingdom when night fell.
That night, I was sitting by the cliff where this whole thing really started. I stared out into the ocean beyond, praying this was all unnecessary, and I wouldn't see (Y/N) making his way to shore.
"Hey, sis."
I turned around to see Yang walking up to me.
"Did I startle you?" she asked.
"No," I said. "A lot of people have been catching my attention from behind lately."
Yang walked over to me, and sat down beside me.
"Do you think he's coming?" she asked.
"I hope not," I said. "I hope I'm right, and he wouldn't hurt anyone. But if I'm wrong, than I guess I don't know him as well as I thought. Either that, or he's really changed."
Yang wrapped her arm around my shoulder, and I rested my head on hers.
"I want to say he won't do it," she said, "but I just don't know anymore. I wish I'd helped him with you. Maybe if I was there, he wouldn't have had to transform."
I sighed. "I already told you, it's not your fault. You didn't know what was going to happen. He was always so shy, and so clingy. But... that was what I liked about him. It was adorable."

Yang smiled. "Maybe you can convince him. It will just take a lot of effort since, you know, he's a giant monster now."
I sighed. "I hope you're right."
Then, we went silent, and sat there, her arm around my shoulder, and my head resting on hers.
Then, I could feel the ground shake. It wasn't hard. It was subtle enough to keep from losing balance, but big enough to notice. It wasn't consistent, like an earthquake. It was a quick shake, that lasted a second. Then, it happened again. Then again. It continued, like a rhythm.
"He's coming," Yang said, standing up.
"I hate this already," I said, standing with her.
"We'll get through this," she said. "I promise."
I nodded. I could hear gunshots in the distance, and I looked back out to the ocean. I could see (Y/N)'s head in the sea beyond, and it already hurt to look at him.
I started tearing up, and I embraced Yang, sobbing into her chest.
"I just want all this to end!" I said. "I just want it to be over!"
"It's okay," Yang said. "We'll find out how to fix this. I promise."
We made our way to the air-pad, where we saw the crowd of students, staff, and civilians watching in horror as (Y/N) began to make his way onto land, the Atlas military's weapons having no effect on him.
I watched, horrified and heartbroken as the one I loved most destroyed the kingdom I called home.
I watched him smash down buildings, not a care in the world for the people inside. And as I listened closely, I could hear the screams of the civilians who hadn't gotten out yet, running as far away from the enraged monster as they could.

Then, he stopped, and bared his teeth in frustration. I was confused at first. He bent down, and I watched in horror as he lifted a train car filled with innocent people in his jaws. I could hear their screams as he opened his jaws, and let the train fall to the ground, killing everyone inside.
The attack wasn't too long, but for us, and especially everyone in the kingdom, it felt like hours.
I watched (Y/N) make his way to the river and stepped into it, making his way back into the ocean.
And as he made his way back into the ocean, I felt nothing but sadness as I knew (Y/N) was completely gone.
The next day, I went back down to the city, and looked over the damage he'd caused with my friends.
We found countless corpses, and helped civilians out from the rubble.
As I looked over the rubble, I felt regret for being unable to keep this from happening. I blamed myself for everything. I should've been there. I should've saved him. But at the same time, I knew there was nothing I could've done. I was there. I did try my best. It just wasn't enough.
Ozpin walked up next to me.
"Are you alright, Miss Rose?" he asked.
"I really thought he wouldn't do anything like this," I said. "I guess I don't know him as well as I did."
"No," he said. "You knew him better than anyone. But people change."
"I guess," I said.
"This is my fault," Ozpin said.
I looked up at him, shocked that he was taking responsibility.
"I shouldn't have imprisoned him," he said. "I shouldn't have ordered the attack. I guess I was just..."
"Afraid," I finished for him. "I don't blame you. I guess I was a little scared, too."
He turned to me. "You can save him, right? You can get him to stop before he hurts anyone else?"
"Normally I'd say yes," I said. "But after everything he's done... I just don't know anymore..."
I looked out at the destruction (Y/N) had caused. He'd done all of this. I didn't know if I could even call him (Y/N) anymore. Though I understood what he was going through, and still wanted to help him, I knew that the (Y/N) I knew and loved was gone.
All that was left was Godzilla.
