It's Wednesday now and I'm trying to avoid Melanie by all means possible. Hiding behind groups of girls, hiding in corners, hiding behind trash cans.

I was terrified.

I had art again for fifth period and I was early to the class. I took my seat and took out my things, carefully placing them onto my desk.

I was doing fine until my crush walked in. I froze, I completely forgot she was in this class. I was so upset on Monday I barely noticed her.

Her blonde hair was tired up in a ponytail and was flowing like a waterfall down her back. She was laughing with her friends; she had a beautiful laugh.

We locked eyes for a moment and I gave her a small wave and she gave me a wide smile before leaving her friends to take her seat beside me.

"Hey Ashley" she said, taking out her pencils

"Hey Hayley"

"How are you doing? You were really quiet the other day, are you alright?" Concern flashed across her face.

I nodded "Uh...yeah, I just have a lot on my mind"

"I'm here if you need me" she spoke softly

I gave her a grateful smile and quickly uttered a thanks before the teacher arrived.
