The self-proclaimed Deva contracted his eyes as he appraised me. Several silhouettes revealed themselves and stood in an ordered manner along the stairs to the majestic throne. They are felt similar to the Asura yet something was off about them. It was as if there stood some dozens of beings at the same level as Kezess and Agrona. Perhaps even stronger.
The court hall brightened in response to a gesture by the Deva who approached me first. A big and wide display showed the view of frozen time on the battlefield.
My throat dried as I wanted to speak without any interruption. Who is this group of people? They call themselves the Devas and are enemies of Asura? what does it mean? Are they one of a clan of the Asura? Then they must be similar to the Vritra. Why are there no records of their existence, especially when they are capable of controlling Aether at this scale.
"If you think that we are just a clan of the disgusting Asura, then you have a bad assumption. We are superior beings and are the true deities, unlike those fools," he spoke as I pondered over my assumptions.
"I don't understand. Does it mean that the history recorded is false?" I asked despite my cracked voice.
He snapped his fingers before a golden container made its way before me. It had a pink beverage with a ladle in it. I hesitated to take a scoop before the Deva in focus gestured me to devour it.
"Do not be suspicious, we do not use petty tricks to defeat anyone. We are proud of our strength and we do not have any reason to get rid of you, for now, that is." his sharp voice echoed as I let the pink fluid pass through my parched throat.
It was thick with a mixed and strong flavor of both milk and saffron. It tasted sweet as its effect reached my mind. I quenched my thirst as it also supplemented me with a soothing after-taste. My fatigue from the battle faded and I could feel renewed strength welling up in my body.
This was Indeed a good supplement. It felt hard to keep my focus on the conversation. I think he said something about being proud of their strength and no reason to get rid of me, for now. No matter how comfortable his words may feel, I can't help but feel alerted.

'Alerted eh? yeah, right when you are drooling at the drink before you.' Regis shot at me.
I fixed my posture and faced the Deva in front of me. The golden container sped away into a dark corridor. I wonder where this palace is located. Dicathen or Alacrya?. Though I have explored most parts of both continents, I can't be sure of the information that I am aware of.
"The history you are familiar with is not false, but it is just that it was manipulated for convenience. By the Leaders of Asura." he continued as the rest glared at me with disgust.
Hmm, those are some intense stares. They were all similar to the Deva one who welcomed me. They had that divine nature about them that was injected into others naturally.
'Whatever the reason may be, they sure do love you princess.' Regis blurted inside me.
Shut up, how come you are not affected by this intense mood.? Sigh. Looks like there is more to this world than I thought there was.
'You didn't forget that these are the unknown people from the abandoned future you saw earlier today.' Regis said with doubt.
Now that you mention it, yeah they had a similar rune on their forehead. That means somehow they became our enemy. I must deal with them carefully. I don't even know what their goal is!
"You don't need to think so hard about the lost history. Now that you have made contact with us, you will eventually unfold the truth of this world. The reason for the inaccurate history and the reason for why we reincarnated you into this world." he said with a grin.
Even though I know that I might not get any information out of them now, I need to try to get as much as I can get.
"Where is this place?" I raised my voice which rang throughout the hall.
"Well, I guess I can answer some questions in exchange for dragging you here without proper notice," he said while he lost in his thoughts.
"There is more to this world than what you guys know. It is a lot bigger place than what you think there is to it. As for the civilization spread there, well I can certainly say that not many are pleased with the twin-continents they have been closely watching over several years." he revealed.

So as I suspected, there are more continents. Why did the Indrath clan lie to me about this? I guess this must be related to them manipulating history. And here I am thinking that I had a hell of a life with the only known two continents.
It looks like I really have a long way to go. A sense of guilt welled up inside as a part of me was excited about the new revelations. Guilt, because it would put us neighboring continents in danger. Although according to Deva's words there may be people who would side with us.
Were we having a petty fight all this time while the biggest threats loomed around us and completely surrounded us. I am sure Kezess must be aware of all this. There must be a reason as to why he decided to hide this.
"May I know your name?" I said.
"I am obliged to let you know the things only I want you to know for now. You will find out eventually" he said in response.
"Are you an enemy?" I blurted out without hesitation and with a leaking animosity.
'Well, there goes the "dealing with them carefully". You seriously had to do that huh?'
He smiled crudely with his palm on his face. The Deva around him were serious and directed intense pressure towards me. My body felt stiff as I had a hard time maintaining my stance. Dense Aether circulation was being released by them, I tried to manipulate it before I coughed up blood onto the ground.
My mind became a haze and my breathing became erratic. Regis got out and stood in front of me. He dispersed their leaking intent. The Devas appraised him with a keen eye.
"Sorry for that, your words must have angered them," he said with a smirk.
I patted my aching chest as Regis refused to return regardless of my nudge.
"You have an interesting weapon residing inside you." he continued.
Regis snarled at him furiously.
"It depends on you. Whether you cooperate with us or end up becoming our enemy. Although time will reveal what fate we share. The best you can do for now is survive. So that you can live long enough to see the conclusion." he spoke as he gathered Aether around his arm.
"Conclusion?" I asked in doubt.
"Yes, Conclusion to this world," he said firmly.
At some point, the view in the display changed. It now showed the running flow of the battlefield as everyone was speechless at the unknown phenomena.
I felt a similar pull on my back as I held my arm forward for Regis to jump in.
"Pass my words to the Asura. Tell them that the throne will soon be ascended. This will help you in avoiding the war for now. Think of it as a parting gift from us." He said as he waved his arm gently.
A similar feeling of the dimension transforming passed through me as my surroundings changed abruptly. Is this long-range teleportation or did I just traveled into a different dimension? I had no way to know.
All the forces shifted their attention to me since I appeared at the center of this mess. I knew that everyone might be thinking that this is my doing.
"I made contact with some unknown beings, and It was not me who caused this phenomenon of time," I told as most awed at my response. Surely they must be aware of what happened to them.
Windsom shot opened his eyes wide in response to my confession.
" 'The throne shall be ascended soon.' is what they told," I said.
Windsom showed signs of understanding what I actually meant. His forehead twisted with wrinkles as he was hit with terror. He fell into deep thought before he gained his composure enough to order the troops that he rallied to this battlefield.
"Warriors, We are retreating from the battlefield. An Important matter came up and we must see it to Lord Kezess without any further ado." He shouted as he turned his back and headed away.
'Phew,' Regis sighed in Relief.
Well, that takes care of one problem. Now there is one more pain to deal with. I turned around to face the Vritra as I thought of the best way to deal with them.
"I sincerely hope that Agrona's castle will be reconstructed quickly after the mess I have made out of it," I said bowing with a pleasant smile on my face.

Long Island
Long Island was not the first virtual reality game or to say a VRMMORPG. Not the one which changed the world and became a legend. No, it was made when there were lots (quite a few) of virtual reality games already on the market. Each game had its own unique AI feature, its own unique adventure, promising everyone a chance to become King, if not a God. In such a time Long Island was made. Just a little different, just a little unique. Swamy was starting his own adventure, in life and in game.Note - Thanks @DameCarnelian for the cover. Just so people don't get confused, that ship is not Raka's ship :)
