Everyone was at the penny that night and Juliet was standing at the bar when nick came walking over he said "Hey." She replied "Hey." "Did your psychic happen to tell you someone tall and dark would offer to buy you a beer?" He made conversation "No, but my my therapist did tell me to set clear boundaries." She replied "Your therapist?" He said in shock - "Mm-hmm." She said looking at him "Well, therapists are a waste of money. You want to know what I do?" Nick asked "What's that?" Juliet answered "I'd take the money I would have spent on a therapist and put it in a bank account. Then, when I'm feeling down, I just look at my bank statement." He continued that's when Andy got up from her table and walked right over to them with a card "Wow. Sounds like I need to buy you a drink. " Juliet finished
"Hey, birthday card for Henry." Andy said as she pulled nick over to one side "That is a retirement card for Helen?" Nick said as he took the card "Whatever, it's fine. So, I have a question for you. Um, I hope you're listening to your gut, you know, when it's telling you to maybe get to know somebody better rather than pursuing them relentlessly." She continued "That doesn't sound much like a question." Nick replied handing back the card then Juliet came over as soon as Andy took off with a drink to hand nick "Uh Thank you." He said.
"Hey, I I need you guys to help me make a bucket list. These are the things I won't be able to do once I have Sophie." Gail said to Andy and Tracey "Okay, first I need you to sign this card." Andy said putting the card in front of her "Hey. I don't sign cards. I don't wish people things. Okay. All right." Gail replied "Well, "R" rated movies in the theater. Put that on your list." Tracey said as she grabbed the card to sign "I don't want to go to a theater. I'm not into a shared experience." Gail said. "Okay, well, you can't stay late at parties anymore. Wah-wah." Andy mentioned "Well, don't really like people, so I don't want to go to a swingers bar, I don't want to drive a racecar, and I have literally no burning urge to bungee jump." Gail said "Congratulations, you're ready to be a mom. See you guys." Tracey said as she got up from the table just to hand Duncan the card "Yeah, sounds like it." Andy said "Wait! No! I need you to help me make a bucket list." Gail said as she left.

"Did, um, you just say you're gonna make a bucket list? Well, why why are you making a bucket list?" Duncan asked as he came over to Andy and Gauls table "Because, Duncan, I need to go shopping for some buckets." Gail replied "Uh, I'm gonna go. I'll I'll see you." Duncan said with the card "Ooh, sorry. Chloe." Dov said as he bumped into her with some drinks "Hi. " she said "Hey. How are ya?" He said "I'm good." She said back to him "Hey, guys. Quick question. Is Gail dying?" Duncan came over ruined the moment "I live in hope. See ya." Dov said walking.
"You interrupted me and Dov." Chloe said "Okay. Well, forget about that. Listen, you want to get a drink with me again?" He asked "No." She replied "You know, well, in celebration of Helen's retirement." He continued "No, okay? 'Cause I don't know who that is, and I don't want to have a drink with you, okay? I want to have a drink with Dov." Chloe said again "That Dov? Same Dov that dumped you, broke your heart?" He asked after when Chloe took the card off of him.
"Thanks, Dov." Oliver said when Dov came back to there table "My pleasure. It's the least I can do. You've been giving me all this time to train with Officer Cruz." Dov said "Yeah, are you liking Intelligence?" Oliver asked "Yeah." Dov replied when Chloe interrupted saying "Card for Henry." Sitting down "It's, uh it's Helen. Helen." Said Oliver signing it "Uh, yeah, no, Intelligence is great. I love it. Of course, I'm ready to get back out on the street." Dov continued "Yeah, there's nothing like switching things up for a while, you know? I mean, nobody knows where any of us will wind up in the end. - Hey, people change. - Totally. Though, I kind of agree with you, Epstein. Well, I think you belong on the street. To the street." Oliver said "Thank you." Chloe said as she got up. "Henry's retiring." She continued as she passed it on to Diaz at the bar "It's Helen." He said

In parade
"An hour ago, Brody Simmons, upstanding citizen, he walked away from Memorial Hospital where he and four other inmates were receiving their bimonthly chemotherapy treatment." Oliver said to everyone. "Brody Simmons, the MMA fighter?" Diaz interrupted "Yep." Oliver continued "The guy T K O d Jefferson in the first round. He's [Clears throat] Christian's a big fan." Diaz finished "Right, MMA fighter, steroid abuser, repeat offender, mostly for assault. Um, Swarek is gonna go down to the hospital and talk to the doctor that he scalpeled." Oliver said "You mean scalped." Andy said pointing while Sam was looking through some notes "Scalpeled. I was trying to tell you what and how using the same word." Oliver said.
"Armed? Dangerous?" Dov asked "It's entirely possibly he still has, uh, the scalpel. While I'm at the hospital, that's a list of his old haunts. Why don't you split that with, uh, Ward and, uh, Collins?" Sam said "Right, wherever he is. Where is Collins?" Oliver asked "Oh, he was gonna be late. - My bad, I was supposed to tell you that. Sorry" Chloe said back as nick came through the door "Simmons has never been married. He's got no children, no family in town. But, Peck and Moore, why don't you follow that up and make sure he's not, uh, hiding out with any long-lost relatives?" Sam continued "Price and McNally, you're on desk with Swarek. Whatever he needs. I want this guy back in jail by the end of the day. Go, go, go get him." Oliver said as they all left parade.
It was a long day and everyone was getting ready to go home a lot of things we're happening with nick but in the end they got figured out.
Andy and Juliet were in the locker room Andy was changed and wait for Sam to find her and Juliet went to take a shower when Andy said "Hey." " Hey." Juliet replied "How did it go? What happened?" Andy asked "He's he's fine." Ward said back to her "Okay, so, was it the guy from the accident? Andy asked Again "Look, can you, uh Can you just ask him tomorrow?" Juliet asked her "I'm not trying to be nosey. This isn't some lame jealousy thing. " Andy replied "Oh, no. I know. I know." Ward said "I genuinely care about him." Andy replied "Me, too." Ward said as there were [Knocks on door] "Hey." Andy said to Sam who was leaning on the door "Have a good night." Ward said as she walked off. "Hey." Andy said again to Sam as she picked her bags up "Hey. It's a nice night. I thought maybe we could find a nice little patio and have a drink.," Sam asked Andy "Yeah, that sounds great. Okay." Andy replied with a smile on her face and Sam's as they both walked out hand in hand.

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.
