His face inches closer to mine as I mimic his actions. His familiar icy and minty breath fans my face as it sends delectable chills down my spine. Red paint drips from the center of his forehead and onto the bridge of his nose making me smile slightly at the odd contrast of different colored paints on his head and face. Our lips connect and instantly, sparks erupt all around us like magic. The touch of his lips remaining perfectly tender against mine. My sense of telling right from wrong flies out the window once his hand cups my cheek. His fingers remain perfectly locked onto my skin as though they would need a password to be released. Through all of this, he keeps things gentle to the touch.

I fumble with the door knob to the storage room even harder as it refuses to open. My metal pleads for the door to magically open and let me get what I need increasing by the second.

"Let me help you." A voice sound out from behind me as their hand reaches out to to touch the door knob. I retract mine but not fast enough seeing that sparks immediately erupted from the tip of my finger to the rest of my body. I move away and give him space to try and open it and also to avoid complete intoxication from his scent.

The door finally opens up after about five minutes of twisting but failure to turn on Christopher's part. "I'll just need you to hold the door open while I grab the supplies." I say trying not to mix any emotions with my words, keeping it as official as possible. "Yeah, sure." He answers back and tries to find my gaze, to which I avoid as much as I can.

I stand on the highest point of my toes, literally and try to reach the white paint from the top shelf but it refuses to inch closer to me. "You know, from the way you're standing," Christopher gestures to my feet as I role my eyes at the comfortable tone of his voice, "I would've expected you to have reached the paints by now if not shattered your metatarsals from the way your balancing your stance." I rest back onto my feet completely and turn to face Christopher, hand on my hip and eye contact maintained, giving him my 'this means business' face. "It's a ballet stance. Not everyone on this earth is gifted with sufficient height." He chuckles at my statement while shaking his head. His leaning on the door ceases as he walks over to where I am.

"Christopher, the door!" I yell a little louder than expected when he moves from the door. "Oops." His shoulders simply shrug as the heavy door creeks as it shuts. I flinch but not from the sound, only from the realization that I'll be stuck in here for who knows how long with Christopher. Ignoring the fact that we're trapped in here, he reaches up and pulls out the tin of paint from the top of the shelf with so much ease. My eyes roll as I find myself a corner to get comfortable, knowing it's going to be a while before we get out of here.

"Would you stop already? I think we've both established that the door won't open. It's a surprise the door knob hasn't-" I'm cut off, not by Christopher but by the sound of the door knob, literally breaking off, "broken." I sigh out loud and rub my temples. Way to jinx yourself there Hails. Standing up, I look for the light switch and turn it on, not being a fan of the darkness in this space at the moment.

'Hello, guys' I reach out to anyone in the pack mind link. 'Yeah Lee?' Claire responds and switches us to a private link. 'I kinda, sort of, might've gotten locked in the supplies closet.' I hear her laugh from the other side but tries to hide it. 'Again?' My cheeks begin to heat up at the reminder of that embarrassing time. 'But it's not entirely my fault this time. Christopher let the door shut us in while-' She cuts me of with surprise lacing her tone. 'So you've finally decided to patch things up with him I see.' I can almost feel her smirk from the way she says it. 'Of course not. Wh-' She cuts me off again and at this, I roll my eyes. 'It's fine it's fine. You two fix things. I'll make sure know one disturbs you. Have fun' That's all she says as the link goes blank. I try reaching out to other people but they all blocked me out. Thanks a lot Claire.

I hum to a random tune I don't remember ever hearing as my fingers drum on my knees. Christopher is seated right across from me, on the other end of the room, which is quite small if I may add. If we were to both stretch out our feet, my legs would reach his mid thigh area.

His eyes burn my face in attempt to make eye contact with me while I have every intention of doing the opposite. "Hayley, please look at me." Our eyes lock for just a second before I direct my gaze back to the wall with the poorly done paint job. Now that I think about it, this room needs some thorough cleaning and renovation. I could've sworn I heard a rat's squeak. Christopher sighs as he leans forward and rests his hands on his knees. "Please, Hayley." His voice sounds so pained as he tries reaching out to me. My wolf whimpers at the desperation within his tone. Once our eyes meet, I feel a refreshing wave wash over me as my heart flutters even more and abandons the tough armor it had built specifically because of him.

In an instant, things feel almost perfect. His gaze seeping deep into my soul and turning everything in its wake into pure tranquility. Something oddly...furry nudges my palm, bringing me back to reality. Looking down, I lose all sense of composure and sanity as I come face to face with a rat.

My ear piercing scream cuts through the silent air as I frantically move to any place it's not. Christopher's protective side takes the stage as he rushes to me and holds me close, with deadly eyes that skim the area for any signs of danger. Something cold, thick and some what sticky pours onto both of our heads from the squeaking shelf. Looking up at Christopher, I find his chocolaty and hazel orbs sinking deep into mine.

The inner girly girl in me squeals with no control but, I manage to keep all this locked in. I feel him smile against my lips and growl in pleasure.

Pulling away, we look into each other's eyes. My breath hitches at the closeness as my heart rate speeds up. Each and every nerve cell in my anatomy acts on overdrive as they send multiple pleasurable impulses to my brain. "I love you." He mutters softly as his thumb caresses my cheek.

"I-" I start to speak when the door finally jams open. I am met with an angry looking Carson, a shocked looking Parker and an enraged Reagan. "What is going on here?" Reagan stares at me pointedly. "Hayley?" His arms cross over his chest as his glare intensifies on Christopher. He begins to march towards Christopher but I come in between them. "Nothing Reagan," I turn to look at Christopher and stare at him sadly, "nothing's going on here."
