Natalie woke up to hear talking. She couldn't hear who was talking since her head was slightly hurting. She sat up slowly rubbing her temples. She saw she was in a abandon building. The windows was covered up with wooden boards. She saw Elena and two other people she didn't know. She heard Elena asking them questions. She sat there being quiet, listening to the conversation.
"What do you want with me?"
Natalie rolled her eyes. She knew Elena probably saw her there but all she does is think about her self.
Natalie looked at the unknown women as she spoke. "My god, you look just like her."
"But I'm not. Please, whatever you want-"
Rose cut her off. "Be quiet."
"But I'm not Katherine. My name is Elena Gilbert. You don't have to do this."
Natalie rolled her eyes again. She probably already knows your names. She thought.
"I know who you are. I said be quiet."
Elena kept talking. "What do you want?"
Natalie watched as the women vamped sped and slapped Elena unconscious. "I want you to be quiet."
The unknown women turn to Natalie. Seeing that she was awake she walked over to her checking if she was injured.
"What are you doing?"
The unknown women ignored her question. "Are you hurt?"
Natalie just looked at her. Why was she asking her if she was hurt.
"Just my head that's it."
"I'm Rose and the other person is Trevor. We're not gonna hurt you."
Natalie nodded. Rose smiled and left.
After waiting Elena finally woke up. She heard Rose and Trevor talking. Because of her triggering her werewolf at a young age, trying to protect Bonnie.
"How are the girls?" Trevor asked.
"The doppelganger is stilled passed out. The other is sitting quietly."
"You didn't touch them, did you?"
Trevor rolled his eyes: "Give me some credit. So did you call him?"
"No. I called one of his contacts. You know how this works." Rose said
Trevor asked again. "Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah."
She knew that name. She remember her grams telling her something to do with that name.
"They say he got it."
Natalie saw Elena going up the stairs.
"What the hell do you think your doing?"
Elena waved her off and continued up the stairs. Natalie muttered "idiot" under her breath.
"Wonderful, and what?"
"So that's it Trevor. He either got it, or he didn't. We just have to wait."
"Look, it's not too late. We can leave them here. We don't have to go through with this."
"I'm sick of running." Rose empathized.
"Yeah? Well, running keeps us from dying." Trevor exclaimed.
"Elijah is old school. If he accepts our deal, we're free."
Natalie hears a creak and shakes her head knowing Elena got caught.
"YOU! There's nothing around here for miles. If you think you're getting out of this house, you're tragically wrong. Understand?"
"Who's Elijah."
Natalie was trying to remember why that name was so important.
"He's your worst nightmare."
"Why am I here?"
Natalie glared at Elena before speaking. "We. She means why are we here."
"You keep asking me this questions like I'm gonna answer them."
"Why won't you."
"Maybe because she doesn't have to. I mean she did kidnap us."
Elena ignored her as Rose spoke again.
"That's another one."
"You got me. Ok? It's no like I can go anywhere?"
"It's not like WE can go anywhere." Natalie was getting annoyed that Elena was ignoring/forgetting her. She went to one of the chairs in the room taking the books off it and sat down.
"The least you can do is tell me what you want with me."
"Us Elena, you are not the only on here."
Once again Elena ignored her. "I personally want nothing. I'm just a delivery service."
"Delivery to who, Elijah?"
"Duh Elena. We're you not listening?"
Rose lightly chucked. "2 points to the eavesdropper."
Natalie now knowing wbu the name was important. "He's one of the originals vampires. I remember grams talking about him.
"What do you mean, the originals?"
Natalie rolled her eyes at Elena. I guessed Damon and Stefan didn't know everything
"Again with the questions. Haven't the Salvatore's been teaching you your vampire history?"
"So you know Stefan and Damon."
After that Natalie withdrew herself from the conversation. She just needed to know why she was here and what Elijah needed with her. However Natalie felt bad for her and Trevor. All they wanted was to be free. She would help them if she had to. She didn't want them to die. She kind of knew why Katherine did what she did to that's why she didn't fully hate her.
Coming from out her thoughts, the first thing she heard, "Because your a Petrova doppelganger. You're the key to breaking the curse."
"Curse? The sun and moon curse?"
"Ahh so you do know your history."
"What do you mean I'm the key? The moonstone is what breaks the curse."
Natalie spoke before Rose could. "No Elena. The moonstone is what binds the curse. Sacrifice is what breaks it."
"Sacrifice?"
Rose spoke up. "The blood of the doppelganger. You're the doppelganger."
Interrupting Rose again, "Which means in order to break the curse, you're the on that has to die."
"What does Natalie have to do with this."
Rose look like she was debating on saying anything. Sighing she finally spoke.
"Natalie is way more important than the sacrifice. No she's not needed for it but she is important to him."
Listening to Rose she needed to know who was and what he needed her for. Why were the originals after her?
"Tell me more." Elena somewhat demands
"Captivity has made her pushy, eh? What do you want to know, doppelicious?"
Natalie grimaces at the horrible nickname. "Please do not say that name ever again."
Before Trevor can step into the light, Natalie uses her magic to cover up the window with the board.
Trevor sends her a thankful looks and Elena sends her a confused one. Ignoring Elena she smiles at Trevor.
"Who are you running from?"
"They already said this Elena, The Originals."
"Yea I know, but was does that mean?"
"The first family, the old world. Rose and I pissed them off." Rose clears her throat which makes Trevor corrects himself.
"Correction- I pissed them off." Pointing at Rose. "Rose had my back. And for over half a millennium, they've wanted us dead."
Natalie and Elena spoke at the same time saying two different things.
"Well you guys won't die." She spoke with confidence
"What did you do?"
"He made the same mistake countless others did." Rose told the two.
Rose spoke. "He trusted Katerina Petrova."
"Katherine."
"Mmm, The one and only- the first petrova doppelganger."
Third. Natalie commented in her head.

"I help her escape her fate. And now I've- Sorry, We've been marked ever since."
"Which is why we're not gonna make the same mistake again."
Elena and Natalie started leaving the room. Rose pulled her back making Elena looking back in worry.
"I'll be fine Elena."
She nodded and continued out the room. Making sure she wasn't listening Rose finally spoke.
"What did you mean when you said we weren't going to die?"
"Like I said your not going to die." Natalie shrugged. Turning to leave the room, Rose grabbed her arm again. Seeing the annoyed looked. She huffed before explaining
"Fine. If Elijah tries to kill you or Trevor, I won't let him."
"Why though? You don't even know us."
"And?" Natalie shrugged. "All you want to do is be free. I have a feeling Elijah does not take betrayal lightly."
They both nodded before letting her go.
Going down the stairs she sees Elena looking at a paper. Elena shows it to her and smiles.
"Damon and Stefan are coming for you two.-B"
Natalie sees Trevor coming down the stairs in a panic. "He's here. This was a mistake"
"No, I told you I would get us out of this. You have to trust me."
"No! He wants me dead, Rose!" He yelled.
"He wants them more." She told him.
"I can't do this. You give them to him, he'll have mercy on you, but I need to get out of here."
"Hey. What are we?"
"We're family.... Forever."
Everyone hears pounding on the door.
"You're scared."
Natalie glares at her. "No shit Elena."
"Stay here with them. And don't make a sound." He nods and Rose leaves to answer the door.
Rose walks downstairs to see Elijah standing in the door.
"Rose-Marie. Is there someone we can talk."
"Yes. In here. You h-have to forgive the house."
"Oh, no. What's a little dirt? I completely understand." Elijah start to walk into another room. "So tell me, what is it that gives you the courage to call me?
"I wanted my freedom, I'm tired of running. You in a position to grant me that."
"I have complete authority to grant pardon to you and your little pet. What is his name these days? Trevor. If I so see fit."
"Katerina Petrova and Klaus's mate?"
Elijah turns around now intrigued. "I'm listening."
"She didn't burn in the church in 1864."
He sits down and crosses his leg over the other. "Continue."
"She survived."
"Where is she?"
"You don't seem surprised by this."
"Oh, when you called and invited me into this armpit of civilization, which is a mere 3 hours from the town we know as mystic falls, I surmised it had everything to do with Katerina. Do you have her in your possession?"
"No. I have better. I have her doppelganger."
"That's impossible. her family line ended with her. I know that for a fact."
"The facts are wrong."
"Tell me about Klaus mate."
"She was with the doppelganger. We didn't harm her in anyway."
"Well, show them to me."
"Elijah, you're a man of honor. You're to be trusted, but I want to hear you say it again."
"You have my word that I will pardon you."
"Follow me."
Natalie almost rolled her eyes at Rose. She knew Trevor was going to die. Rose didn't listen to Elijah's word. He only said he would pardon her and not Trevor.
Staring at Trevor she said a quick spell in her head. She watched as Elijah vamped sped to Elena standing in front of her. He moved slowly towards her neck not caring if Elea was quivering in fear.
He smelled her neck and came back up slowly. "Human. That's impossible. Hello there."
Elijah was shocked when he saw Natalie. Het met many people trying to lie and say they had Klaus soulmate just to get out of trouble.
He walked towards her amused that she was not afraid of him. She held confidence that he secretly admired. "And who might you be?"
"Natalie and you must be Elijah."
"Well we have a long journey ahead of us. We should be going."
"Please don't let him take me."
"Us Elena for the last time."
Rose looked down feeling slightly guilty.
"One last piece of business. Then we're done." Natalie only nodded as she knew what was coming.
"I've waited so long for this day, Elijah. I'm truly very sorry."
"Oh, no, your apology's not necessary."
"Yes. Yes, it is. You trusted me with Katerina... And I failed you."
"Oh, Yes, you are the guilty one, and Rose aided you because she was loyal to you. That, I honor." Walking to stand in front of Trevor he asks, "Where was your loyalty."
"I beg your forgiveness."
"So granted."
Elijah goes to smack Trevor head off when he is met with a invisible barrier. He looks confused and angered.
"What is this?"
"Your not killing him." Natalie says behind him. She held so much confidence in her voice. She was hellbent on not having Trevor killed.
"And why not? I don't take betrayal lightly."
"I guessed that but you can't kill him because of Katherine. I'm sure she has done the same to you. I'm sure you must have done the same mistake he did as well."
"I see." He turns to Trevor and looks at him. "You might want to thank her. I don't want to see you or next time she won't be able to save you."
Trevor nods before looking at me and mouths "thank you."
He goes to leave but stop when he hears his name. Natalie motions him to come to her. She looks at him and tell him something through his mind. She does the same with rose and Trevor vamps speeds out the building.
Elijah holds his hand out for Elena. "Come."
"No, what about the moonstone?"
"What do you know about the moonstone?"
"I know that you need it, and I know where it is."
Natalie sighs. She knew what Elena was doing. She was buying time for Stefan and Damon to get here.
"Yes."
"I can help you get it," Elena spoke.
"Tell me where it is."
"It doesn't work that way." Elena shook her head.
"Are you negotiating with me?" He looks back at Rose.
"Its the first I've heard of it."
Elijah goes to compel her and sees its not working. He looks at her neck and then back her face.
"What is this vervain doing around your neck." He pulls it off and throws it and goes to compel her.
Natalie didn't know why Elena didn't drink vervain or wear a jewelry with vervain that no one will notice. Any vampire can easily a necklace off.
"Tell me where the moonstone is."
"In the tomb underneath the church ruins."
"What is it doing there?"
"Its with Katherine."
"Interesting."
Elijah looks up as he hear glass shattering.
"What is that?"
"I don't know."
"Who else is in this house?" He yells.
"I don't know!"
He roughly grabs Elena arms and gently grabs Natalie's and bring them to the front of the building.
They make it and hears a whoosh. Elijah looks around trying to find the vampire. He throws Elena to Rose.
"Rose."
"I don't know who it is."
They hear one more whoosh before hearing someone speak.
"Up hear."
Natalie and Elena knew who the voice belong to. Elijah sped up the stairs when another voice is heard.
"Down here."
Natalie and Elena knew that Stefan and Damon was here. Elijah turns around when a stake is flown to his hand. He takes it out only to see Rose, Elena, and Natalie are gone.
He throws the stake before talking. "Excuse me. To whom it may concern. You're making a great mistake if you think that you can beat me you. You cant. You hear that?"
"I repeat." Elijah breaks the coat hanger out of the floor. "You cannot beat me."
Damon hold his hand over Natalie mouth and using his other telling rose to "shh"
Natalie glares at Damon and he removes his hand.
"So I want the girls." He breaks the hanger parts off the wood. "On the count of 3, or heads will roll." He breaks the wood in half making a stake. "Do we under stand each other."
"I'll come with you. Just please don't hurt my friends. They just wanted to help me out."
Elijah turns around and look at Elena. "Where's Natalie?"
"Leave her out of this. She has nothing to do with this."
"I wish I could but I can't. She has everything to do with this."
"I'm sorry but you can't have her."
Elijah vamp speed up the stair only stopping a few inches away from Elena. "What game are you playing with me?"
Elena doesn't answer but pulls the pin on the vervain grenade and throws it at Elijah. It explodes in his face and he screams in pain.
He uses the stairs to lean up showing Elena that he is healing fast. He walks up the stairs only for Stefan to come down and shoot him with small stakes.
When he sees those aren't working he tackles him down the stairs. Elijah gets up faster than Stefan and walks towards him only to have a stake shoved into his heart by Damon. Damon shoves him to the wall and they watch as grey veins cover his face. Rose and Natalie finally come out seeing him in that condition.
Rose vamps speed out of there. Damon tries to go after her.
Natalie steps in front of him. "Just let her go."
Natalie goes and stands on side of Damon and watch Elena go to hug Stefan.
"Hey, come here. Are you hurt? You ok?"
She sees as Elena mouth 'thank you', and Damon mouths 'your welcome' back to her.
Natalie side hug Damon even though she barely likes him. "Thanks for saving me I guess."
He lightly chuckles returning the side hug. "Your welcome."
"And hey maybe you might find the girl who truly loves you and not string you along."
Damon only nods.
Jeremy hears the doors closes. "Elena! Natalie!"
Bonnie wakes up and they both rush out of the room. They see Natalie and Elena walking up the stairs. Bonnie rushes to her cousin hugging her tight. While Jeremy and Elena hug.
"Are you guys okay?"
"I'm good jer." While Natalie nods.
"I got your message." Bonnie hugs Elena While Natalie watches.
Standing in front of her dresser she doesn't notice the two people outside her window. She jumps when she hears knocking.
Turning around she sees Rose and Trevor. She walk and opens the window and invites them in.
"Sorry for bothering you this late."
"It's fine Rose, I told you to come to my house so don't be sorry."
She nods and walks to her dresser and grab the two rings. She hands Trevor and Rose there correct rings.
"How did you make this so fast?"
She shrugs at Trevor question. "I already had some made when I did Caroline ring."
They both run to her and give her a bone crushing hug.
"Thank you!" They say in unison
Natalie laughs and tell them 'your welcome.'
They break apart from the hug and she can see the happiness in both there eyes.
Being silent for a while Trevor is the first to speak.
"I'm leaving. I left my phone number on your night stand so we can check up on each other."
"Okay be careful. And wherever you go send me a post card."
He nods and hugs both Rose and Natalie. He vamps speed out through the window. Only leaving Natalie and Rose.
"I'm staying. I want to help you guys with Klaus. Well mostly Elena."
"Why her?"
"Because Klaus would never hurt you."
"Why though?"
She sighs. "I'm know you've heard stories about the originals. Each one of them have a soulmate."
"Oh. And I'm Klaus Soulmate."
Stefan goes to pour his self a drink when he hears a whoosh. He looks behind him to see no one there. He hears someone whoosh in front of him. He speeds to grab a hidden stake.
"Who's there?"
Rose walks out from behind the door. "I'm not here to hurt you."
"Why are you here?"
"Lexi once told me that you're on of the good ones."
"You knew Lexi?"
"Trevor is my bestfriend. I'm lucky I had Natalie to save him. Now that we are free I think you can use my help."

This is the dated Version. Please search for the rewrite. Ever been a god? Well I was! Until I died.... and got judged by the other gods! Seems like I got sent onto a vacation as punishment! Or so I hope? ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it, or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. How would a true immortal with average talent in magic fare within a world where magic is everything? In the world of Aria, only a small fraction of the population are classified as magicians. These magicians are able to use magic through the manipulation of the mana they are born with and are the core of the military strength within every nation. However, one nation in particular uses magicians to an even higher extreme than the others. This nation is known as The Republic of Arcania. The largest power in Aria. Our story follows Nathan Fox as he graduates from high school and is sent to the Arcane Academy for his required military training as a magician before he eventually serves his ten year term in the military.Nathan has been a true immortal ever since he got a semi-magical disease that makes any damage done to his body instantly reverse itself, bringing him back to his top form on the day that he became an immortal. Ever since then, it has been impossible for Nathan to die.But there are worse things in the world than death. And if the power-hungry magicians of the world were to learn of Nathan's true immortality? Then he might just experience those things himself. What will happen to Nathan as he traverses life in the academy? Will his secret be found out?Or will he be able to safely make it through the four years of academy life with his secret intact? That has yet to be foretold. The beginning of the story starts out slow for what many Royal Road readers are used to and then speeds up after around chapter 20 or so. It is a school arc, so it is supposed to be slow. Most of the combat and action isn't seen until after these chapters, which you can view as an introduction to the world, the characters, and magic itself. Many of the reviews are outdated due to edits I've been making along the way through the story. Specifically some of the edits going over the world itself, including pointing out in the story some of the things a few of the reviewers missed when they wrote their reviews, along with fixing other things that were pointed out in the story from the reviews and comments. This book is also being edited as it's being written, so some small parts might change as I get suggestions from readers. I do not write harem or sexual content in my stories. Ever.
