Frankie didn't exactly know how she ended up on the Mikaelson couch waiting for Klaus and Elijah to return. Hayley was careful with her words, very careful in fact so she never directly invited them inside but with Frankie's human status, she was able to slide through the doorway, away from Marcel to at least wait till he left.

Hayley was kind as she explained how she'd gotten involved with the Original family and then understanding when Frankie was clearly thrown through a loop. In the months since she'd left them, it seemed Klaus had switched from world domination to fatherhood with less complaints than she would've predicted.

As the story ended, Frankie stood with her skateboard in hand to leave. While she did enjoy meeting Hayley, she wasn't ready yet to talk to Elijah and so she intended on leaving now that Marcel was gone. Hayley was surprisingly understanding and Frankie figured that if she had the chance to sneak away like this she would too.

Though Hayley hadn't said it outright, it was clear from the way she allowed her entry to the house and what she'd mentioned of Klaus painting her portrait, that she had somewhat of an inkling of who she was and why she was running before Klaus or Elijah returned. She'd recognised her so instantaneously and even as she recognised that Marcel wasn't there innocently, she'd trusted Frankie implicitly. Hayley mightn't have known everything about Frankie and her story but she knew certainly that to the Mikaelsons she was family.

Frankie and Hayley were hugging on the porch when it happened, a sudden blinding pain on their heads that caused both girls to fall limp and collapse into unconsciousness.

By the time Frankie came to, she was aware of several things, firstly that the pain in her head hadn't ended in fact now it was amplified, secondly, her hands were tied tightly together in front of her and third that she was swung over someone shoulder, bumping against their back as they walked.

She was half torn on what to do or say when someone screamed beside her, her head spun to the sound and she saw Hayley in the same position, thrown across their captors other side, writhing desperately.

"Let us go," Hayley growled furiously, "You backstabbing, half-breed, piece of shit!"

"Shut up," the man holding them snapped back.

"What the fuck is going on," Frankie yelled, "Put me down, put us down. What the fuck?"

"Shut up," he said again, tightening the grip on her so tight it turned painful for a moment, "Shut up or I'll make you shut up."

"Tyler," Hayley spat out, "Let us go I swear to god."

Tyler didn't reply and while Hayley continued to yell and writhe in his grip, Frankie fell quiet, instead staying still and conserving her energy while they moved. Though it wasn't the worst injury she'd ever had, her head was throbbing with pain where she'd been hit. Whatever Tyler had done to knock them out may have healed quickly in Hayley thanks to her wolf side, but with Frankie's lack of anything supernatural she was pretty sure she was concussed.

Tyler must've been a werewolf or a vampire or something too because despite carrying the two of them for more than an hour he didn't even seem to falter once, trudging through the woods they were in without even a complaint. Eventually as the sun rose around them they reached a hut on the water and he deposited them messily, dropping them on the porch where they pulled themselves up, leaning against each other with their arms and Hayleys legs still bound.

"What is this place?" asked Hayley, looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings.

Though Frankie had explored a decent portion of New Orleans since she'd arrived, she was clueless as to where they could be, rarely venturing outside of the city and certainly never anywhere with woods as deep as these, never somewhere where they seemed to be the only people around.

"The armpit of Louisiana," Tyler answered, tugging a knife from his back pocket and stepping forwards.

"Woah," said Frankie, "Woah, woah. What are you gonna do with that. What's going on?"

"Depends on the two of you," Tyler shrugged.

Frankie tensed for a moment, leaning towards Hayley protectively, almost ready to push herself in front of her if anything happened. Though Frankie had no supernatural healing and had known Hayley for barely an hour, she knew she was pregnant and she was terrified that whatever Tyler's plan was would affect the baby.

"Relax," Tyler grinned, leaning forwards and cutting the ties on Hayleys legs.

"Relax?" Frankie spat, "You attacked us, remember?"

"You ambushed us in my literal backyard," Hayley added, standing to her feet and approaching Tyler.

"It's not your backyard," Tyler rolled his eyes, "it's Klaus'. You're shacked up in that mansion with that psycho. A long way from the girl I met in the Appalachians, helping other werewolves."

"Tyler I'm sorry, but a lot has happened since the last time I saw you."

"You mean that you're pregnant," Tyler spat in disgust, "I know all about it. I've been roaming around the Bayou, asking questions. Let me tell you what I've learned."

Tyler tugged Hayley's cardigan roughly from her shoulder and Frankie stood angrily wanting to push him back off the girl she'd just met. Regardless of the fact that they clearly knew one another, she didn't like watching someone tug at someone else's clothes or pull at them aggressively.

"Don't touch her," she said protectively, pushing herself between them and trying not to let her racing heart give her terror away.

Tyler ignored her though his hand released Hayley with a roll of his eyes, "This crescent birthmark means you come from a big-shot family. Some kind of royalty for the werewolves of the region. And right here," Tyler passed here to gesture to the abandoned campsite they stood in, "is all that's left of them."

"Look," Frankie said, annoyed by his monologue and by the zip ties cutting circulation off on her wrists, "I'm sorry Klaus did whatever Klaus did to you, he's pissed a lot of people off, you hate him, we get it. But let us go, whatever you've got going on isn't gonna work and all that'll happen is Klaus will rip your heart out for trying to hurt his baby mama."

"Look Saltzman," Tyler frowned, "You're here because I wasn't leaving someone there to tell Klaus what happened, don't think I won't kill you just because of your brother."

"I'm not a Saltzman," she growled, almost instinctively before she froze, his words hitting her as she turned back to him, "Wait, what?"

"You don't remember me?" he asked, annoyance growing as her brow only furrowed in confusion, squinting her eyes as though that might help her remember him, "Klaus' first hybrid? Matt's best friend? I was literally dating Caroline Forbes?"

"Sorry I don't keep up with my dead brothers history students," she rolled her eyes in annoyance and pushing the twinge of pain away as she remembered her brother, "Let us go, Tyler. Whatever your play, you're not ending up on top."

"Hey," Hayley called out suddenly, there was a woman with blond hair in the distance watching them and Hayley brushed by Frankie and Tyler desperately holding up her bound hands, "Help us."

"They can't help you," Tyler exclaimed as they watched the woman disappear into the trees, "They're in the woods hiding because they were persecuted for decades by vampires."

"Which one is she?" another voice called out, a man appeared, walking towards them and glancing between Frankie and Hayley, "I thought there was only one pregnant wolf."

"It's her," Tyler said, nodding his head at Hayley, "The other one is here to make sure she behaves. Get them inside, Dwayne."

"Tyler," Hayley yelled as the man approached. His hand gripped her arm roughly dragging her towards the hut. Even with her screaming and struggling he didn't falter, he was clearly stronger than her and his eyes fell on Frankie now.

"Woah, woah," she said, holding her hands up as she stepped away, "don't touch me. Hey, Tyler!"

Tyler didn't turn back, looking towards the woods as he ignored the sounds of Hayley and Frankie being dragged inside the hut. The more she moved, the weaker Frankie felt and by the time she was pressed to the ground, one hand attached to the radiator beside Hayley she felt dizzy from so much movement.

"Are you alright?" she asked when Dwayne left and it was only the two them alone, "Is the baby-"

"She's fine," Hayley replied quickly, "Are you? I'm pretty sure you're still bleeding where Tyler must've hit your head to knock you out."

"That makes sense," she nodded weakly, "Would love a little super healing right now."

"I'm sorry you're in this because of me, thanks for stepping in earlier."

"Us girls have to stick together," she said, thinking of Rebekah and how quickly they grew close, "Besides, there's nothing to apologise for. This isn't even my first time being kidnapped, Klaus kidnapped me for like six months when we first met."

"That sounds like him."

"Doesn't it?" she laughed lightly, wincing at the pain it brought her when her head brushed against the wall as she leant back, "Look, don't worry too much. Klaus is a stubborn little bitch, he'll track you down, take Tyler out, and we can all move on from this soon enough. Have a nice hot bath, a fuck tonne of wine, and maybe some vampire blood to fix my head."

Tyler entered the hut and both girls broke off, the smiles sliding from their faces as they turned to watch him wearily. Hayley broke the silence that permeated as Tyler looked through a bag in the corner of the room, pointedly ignoring them and their eyes that followed him anxiously as he pottered about.

"Tyler, there's been a wolf watching me lately. Protecting me, like it instinctively knows I'm part of it's pack," Hayley paused a beat here, noting how Tyler's eyes flicked to her as she spoke though his head stayed turned away and disinterested, "You're a hybrid, you can turn into a wolf whenever you want. . . Was it you?"

"No," Tyler replied slowly, confusion filling his face, "But you're right, only hybrids can control when they change. And I'm the only one left, besides Klaus. Which is why we're here."

"Whatever you think you're doing, you know that whole Original family has made some sort of pact, or something, to keep me and the baby safe. I've heard them talk about Frankie too, all three of them, they consider her family even more than me. So if you hurt either of us, they'll kill you."

"What makes you think I'm afraid to die?" Tyler asked argumentatively as his face turned cold, "You ready for this?" he asked as Dwayne entered the hut, closing the door behind him. Both girls tensed at their deliberate movements and Frankie's mind began anxiously running through all the options of what was going to happen next.

"Let's do it," Dwayne nodded.

"What are you doing?" Frankie asked nervously, watching as Tyler pulled a large syringe out from a bag. Dwayne approached them both and while one hand held Hayley down, the other pinned Frankie, his werewolf strength enough to overpower her easily.

"Tyler," Hayley begged, "please, no, no, Tyler!"

"Klaus destroyed everything good in my life," Tyler spat, "So, I'm gonna take away the thing he wants most."

"Get away from her," Frankie yelled, struggling furiously as the syringe was jammed into Hayley's stomach, drawing blood as Hayley screamed in pain.

Hayley froze as Dwayne stood, with the syringe removed from her stomach he'd released both girls and stepped back, Tyler following him away. Frankie shuffled back towards Hayley, curling her legs up to her chest and moving herself so she could press herself between Hayley and Tyler. She could feel Hayley shaking beside her as they both leaned towards each other, watching in horror as Tyler jammed the syringe filled with Hayley's blood into Dwayne's neck before snapping it and allowing him to drop to the floor.

"Oh my god, oh my god," Frankie groaned, squeezing her eyes shut in disgust as she watched him fall and then flinching back at the thud his body made.

"Don't get all judgy," Tyler growled, pulling Dwayne into a seated position and dragging him to the wall as the girls stares at him in disgust, "Dwayne knew what he was getting into. He volunteered!"

"For you to kill him?" Frankie asked, her face furrowing as she caught the similarities between Tyler and Klaus. The desire for revenge was the same, their reasoning allowing them to go above and beyond to succeed was the same, and the desperation to succeed in their task was just as similar.

"Dwayne is a werewolf who died with her blood in his system," he argued, pointing at Hayley as he spoke, "The same blood she shares with her hybrid baby."

"You're trying to turn him into a hybrid?" Hayley stuttered out, "That's impossible!"

"I've been running with wolf packs all over the country. One of them was tight with a witch. She had nightmare visions about your baby and how Klaus could use its blood to make an army of hybrid slaves."

"I am sick of these witches and their premonitions about my baby," Hayley growled out, shaking now with rage not fear, "It's just a baby!

"Maybe," Tyler shrugged, "Maybe not. That's where Dwayne comes in. You see, he was happy to be the test case. If you haven't noticed, these people don't have much to live for. They'd all welcome the chance to become the superior species. Trouble is, all hybrids are sired to Klaus. They follow his every move," here Tyler paused, grabbing the knife he'd used earlier and placing it on the table, "No way I let that happen."

"How can you be so sure Klaus knows what the baby's blood will do?" Frankie asked.

She'd thought that Tylers plan when they'd taken Hayley and her by extension was to lure Klaus here and then attempt to kill him. That plan she'd been fine with, she'd spent enough time with Klaus to know he wouldn't lose the fight and she figured in Tylers attempt to trick him, she and Hayley could get away.

This being Tylers focus was worrying because there seemed a much shorter timeline for Klaus to arrive and help them. If Dwayne woke up as a hybrid, Tyler would kill Hayley. She wasn't exactly sure what would happen if Dwayne didn't wake up, but seeing how hellbent Tyler was on revenge, she doubted that he'd simply let them go. Either way, Frankie knew that no matter Tylers decision, it was unlikely he'd leave her alive to explain to Klaus what had happened.

"What do you think," Tyler retorted, rolling his eyes, "Klaus Mikaelson, killer of men, women and puppies, all of a sudden wants to be a daddy? Or, he's got an ulterior motive. Hybrids can walk in the sun, their bite is lethal to vampires. They'll take over New Orleans by the end of the week. And you know what's going to stop Klaus then? Nothing."

A gasp appeared behind them, while Tyler spun on his heel to turn to Dwayne who was panicking in the corner, Hayley and Frankie flinched towards each other.

"You're gonna have to feed on her," Tyler said quietly, turning and motioning to Hayley again. This time he was the one to pull Frankie out of the way, holding her body back as his free arm reached out and used the knife to slit Hayleys throat.

"Oh my god," Frankie yelled when Dwayne approached Hayley, his body pinning her as he fed greedily on her throat, "Oh my god. What the fuck, get off her. Get off me Tyler, you fucking-"

Almost as soon as Frankie and Hayleys screams started they stopped, Dwayne pulling away from Hayley and then bursting back, tumbling away from Tyler too and tearing through the door. Tyler's hands released Frankie and she used the opportunity to turn back to Hayley, moving to press her hand against the wound on her neck and watching in astonishment as it stitched itself back up without any aid.

"You're already healed?" Frankie said in surprise, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine," she groaned, wincing slightly before nodding her head behind her, "Tyler dropped his knife, there, do you think you can reach it?"

Frankie nodded, flattening herself to the ground with her hands out in front of her as she stretched back, ignoring the pressing thoughts in her mind about how quickly Hayley had healed. Feeling around with her feet as she tried to catch the knife, her eyes locked with Hayley and it was clear that she wasn't even near. Instead she flipped back, pulling herself into a seated position and curling her legs to drag pieces of wood towards them, close enough that Hayley could grab one while she held the other.

They could hear the commotion outside with Tyler and Dwayne and Hayley nudged her nervously with her foot as the door opened and Tyler reentered the room, a grimace on his face that spelled out how perfectly his plan had gone to order.

"It worked, didn't it?" Hayley asked, unable to hide the surprise that passed across her face, "He's a hybrid."

"If Klaus gets a hold of you, if he gets that kid? He wins."

"Then help me," Hayley implored, "Help me hide the baby from him. Help me run."

"He'll find you," Tyler said, stalking forwards as he picked up the knife they'd been reaching for, "he'll take your kid away, and he'll make more hybrid monsters. Slaves who do everything he says."

"Tyler, whatever you're thinking of doing," Frankie cut in desperately, "there has to be another way. You're not like this, you're not like Klaus."

"You don't know me, you didn't even remember me," Tyler scoffed, "Do you really think just because you and Klaus went on your little kumbaya road trip where you helped him make hybrids that he got his fill? That he won't want to make more. He's desperate for the control of his mindless slaves and without needing a doppelgänger to make them he'll be unstoppable."

"You don't need to do this," Hayley begged, eyes trained on the knife in his hand as he approached.

Tyler didn't reply, only stalking closer. Frankie was just about to pull her stake out from beside her when Hayley moved first, jamming it into Tyler's leg and causing him to stumble back in pain and shock.

"That was stupid," Tyler growled, he stared at them for a moment in rage, his chest rising and falling angrily before he ripped the stake out and dropped it to the floor with a clatter.

"Get away from her," Dwayne called out, entering the room and looking between Tyler and Hayley with a glare.

"What do you care?" Tyler spat.

"I said get away."

"You got what you wanted, now get lost."

Frankie had spent enough time with Klaus and his sired hybrids to understand exactly what was happening, watching the argument between Tyler and Dwayne solidified it and both she and Hayley seemed to reach the understanding simultaneously.
