《Fuck you Fred (a Fred Weasley love story)》Chapter Seven: Prince Charming

Miranda's POV:
The next few days are nothing less than bliss. Fred had pretty much walked me to class every day and through him, I became friends with Lee and George. Lee and I have talked about the Triwizard tournament multiple times the cup was placed in the great hall we were bursting with excitement, then the next few days after the selection of the champions we couldn't stop conspiring about how Harry Potter got his name in. George has changed a lot over the years. He has layers of creativity and wit bursting for attention yet he sits with a smirk on his face a little shyer than Fred.
Fred and I had decided to partner up on the second day of school for astronomy. I love the stars. It's like the world is so much quieter when you're looking at them nothing can break the silence and serenity. Our project was assigned a few weeks later and we decided since it required lots of work outside of class it was best to meet up every Monday at midnight for study sessions in the astronomy tower until it was due. Fred and were also the only 6th Year Gryffindors who chose muggle studies as an elective for NEWTS. Fred and I have become better friends in the 1 month than I have been with him my entire school experience at Hogwarts.
The boys' dorm consisted of them three plus two other boys Toby and Connor. I hadn't ever talked to them much but they were always friendly. Early this morning after saying my good morning to the girls; Frankie, Angelina and Alica. I was waiting in the common room for Fred, George and Lee when I saw Connor and Toby leaving the common room.
My opportunity has finally arrived.
Without another thought, I ran up the stairs and strode to the left bursting into the boy's dormitories.
"My boys!" I exclaimed happy.
Although I have trouble sleeping at night, I am definitely a morning person.
"How did you get in here" Lee stirred.
"Through the door of course! Up you get boys your dining with me this morning." I chirp happily.
The boys chuckle lightly and they start to rise from their beds, it's evident they think it's much later since I am completely dressed and my hair is parted and brushed quite neatly. I don't plan on telling them how early it is, anytime soon, as that would make them crawl back into bed I'm sure. George grabs his stuff and tells me he is going to hit the showers. Lee follows close behind bringing his toothbrush.
But Fred lays dormant in his bed, secretly hoping I would let him sleep. He looks quite peaceful just sleeping there. His hair tame, his body untouched. I creep over to his bed to stare at him a little longer. With his eyes still closed, I see a smirk creep onto his face.

"You know I can feel you staring at me Benny." Fred's raspy morning voice took me back by surprise. I quickly remember what I here for.
"Good morning Weasley," I say clearly. "Now time to get up"
"Nope," he looks at his watch laying on his bedside table "You might be able to fool the other guys but I know it's not nearly time for me to get up."
"When is the time for you to get up then?" I question sarcastically.
"In about an hour... or more" He retorts.
"AN HOUR!" I dramatically ask.
"Yes," Fred replies casually.
"Not on my watch" I whisper under my breath. I stride across the room and pull open the curtains which to my delight shines sunlight directly on Fred. He groans and tries to cover himself with the sheets. But I march over and pull the sheets off him swiftly only to reveal his half-naked body.
I stare at his bare chest and toned abs. The sun from the window hits his body so nicely. I am lost in his beauty for a precious moment.
"You like what you see Benny?" Fred smirked.
"In your dreams Weasley" I smack him with a pillow. He looks oddly happy about it. He pulls the pillow from under his head and mirrors my same motions except this time he strikes me directly in the face with a loud laugh. Before we know it I am launching pillows at the shirtless boy dashing around the room and screaming for mercy. We don't even hear when the door creeks open and a fellow student picks up a pillow.
But suddenly I feel a large smack across my back. Fred and I both turn round to reveal Lee Jordan smiling brightly. Fred and I lock eyes in shock.
"What you seriously thought I would be the one missing out on all the fun?" He giggles.
***
Breakfast was great that morning waffles and pancakes, my favourites. I went to class with Fred for our first-period lesson being Muggle studies.
We sat next to each other like we normally do and took out some parchment as well as our quills. Professor Charity Burbage walked into the classroom, she had been teaching at Hogwarts since I arrived and I always thought she was lovely and quite smart.
"Right today we are moving onto some of the most famous literature of Muggle time."
I had always been intrigued by non-magic stories and tales. I wonder what book we will be reading this time. The books floated in front of us and landed on the desk.
"This semester we are studying Romeo and Juliet!"

Today was the day of the first task of the Triwizard Tournament and after everyone recovering from the shock of there being four champions all that was left was excitement. Alice woke me up with a gentle nudge. But unfortunately, I didn't budge so shook me violently. I jolted awake and looked into Alice's innocent eyes.

"Good morning to you too!"
Suddenly my clothes flew across the room only to smack me in the face. Angelina smiled evilly.
"Get dressed it's the first task today," Angelina said.
"No, I'm not going, I need sleep" I sighed and rolled back over.
"No way!" Frankie had joined the conversation now while she brushed her hair. "We haven't spent quality time with you in forever! You are always with those boys nowadays."
"What no I'm not! I only hang out with them sometimes" I replied back shakily because I knew they were right.
"Oh yeah if you count sometimes as; you sneaking out to wish them a good morning before class, then breakfast with them and then spending all day at class talking to them, in fact, I only see you when your sleeping" Frankie lectured. I knew she was half-true since the past two months had spent so much time with Fred, Lee and George, but also Frankie was still overreacting. I hadn't completely abanded them I always was there to dine with them in the evenings and gave my full attention to Frankie in potions since we were partners. It was best to give the girls what they wanted. I hated when people were mad at her so she gave in and got up.
"I love you all you know that right." I looked into the eyes of each of my roommates, my best friends and asked them for forgiveness.
"Yes..." They all answered simultaneously.
"And to make up for some missed time I am going to spend the weekend with you guys!" Cheers erupted in the room and I felt whole again.
***
We arrived at the clearing in the forbidden forest that was now turned into a dragons' den with the first dragon a Swedish Short-Snout waiting impatiently for a competitor. I felt so nervous for the champions. I grabbed onto Frankie's arm who was cheering liking a manic beside me. Angelina was watching with closed eyes and Alica was somewhat stable but looked like she could burst into tears at any moment.
Just before Cedric Diggory's name was called I felt a familiar breath on my neck, sending chills down my spine, "Any last minute bets, Benny?" I turned around and sighed in response to see an arrogant smirk on Fred Weasley face, I knew it was him. He looked down to see me still grabbing Frankie's forearm.
He slipped between me and Frankie not-so-gracefully and squished his large muscular body next to mine. "I just knew you would need some support in this tough time" He continued proudly as he wrapped me into a side embrace. I decided to play along in a high pitched weak voice as I nuzzled closer to his body and looked into his eyes.
"Yes, oh Freddie however could I repay my knight in shining armour?" I said as Lee and George approached.
"Now that you mentioned it..." His voice turned more serious and Fred-like, his eyes darted down to my lips. Fred moved his face closer to mine and looked straight into my eyes with a devilish glare. "There are many things I can think of." Lee and George tried to suppress laughter behind us.
"Shove off Weasley" I laughed as I playfully pushed him back off the seat. He stood up and recovered quickly only to move onto the next topic. "Well, surely you're coming with us," Fred said almost matter-of-factly. "No" Frankie jumped in with a harsh look on her face, "she is spending the weekend with us."
"The whole weekend?!" Lee exclaimed. Fred was now standing up next to the other two boys with a disappointed look on his face.
"That's not happening Benny," Fred said sharply.
"Yes it is, don't tell me what to do Weasley." I felt a wave of cringe wash over my body from the last comment but managed to keep a straight face. George broke the awkward silence, trying to convince me to sit with them.
"You see your friends all the time, I mean you get to bloody sleep with them every night... I, mean...not sleep, I-" Me and my friends stifle a laugh. George can be the most awkward boy sometimes.
"Sorry boys I have made a prior commitment, I can see you on Monday," I replied to them in an airy tone to lighten the mood. My friends looked at me gratefully. I knew that this conversation meant a lot to them and totally validated their worth.
A few groans, mumbles and disappointed chuckles escaped the boys' lips. Fred's smile returned. "I will be collecting my payment in muggle studies for my bravery, oh and don't forget our date under the moonlight on Monday" he winked and started to dramatically blow me kisses as he followed Lee and George up the stairs. I pretend to catch them in my hands. I shouted as he left.
"Anything for you Prince Charming!" I turned back around sighing giddily.
My three best friends' jaws dropped to the floor.
"You never told us you fancied Fred Weasley!" Alica said. The girls looked at me for an explanation.
"I-" But before I could continue the Swedish Short-Snout roared loudly and shot fire through its mouth making the whole crowd jump and scream.
