《His Unknown Child》Chapter 18: Bonjour

It's been two days since I've seen Twan.

I just keep waiting and waiting for him to call. Maybe I'm suppose to call him? No, he said he would call.

Well today is Saturday. So maybe he'll call. What am I kidding?

I grabbed my phone and looked through my contacts. Twan.

I clicked his contact and it pulled it up.

All I have to do is press the call button. That's all.

Three

Two

One...

Ring ring ring.

Wait what?

Oh damn, he's calling me. Quick, answer it. I'M TRYING.

"Hello?" I nervously said. Don't be nervous.

"Bonjour Charlie." Oh my god, I still can't get over that accent.

"Hi Twan."

"Since today est, Samedi." I'm guessing "est" means 'is' and "Samedi" is 'Saturday'.

"Yes. What time?" Right on point Charlie.

"Sept." What? "Sorry, some word I still say in French. But that's my language. Seven?" Oh.

"Yeah, sept works."

"Merci." I really need to learn French. "Thank you."

"Oh, I'm so stupid. You're welcome." He chuckled.

"No worries. See you at seven."

"Wait! how- will you know where I live." It was too late. He hung up before I even finished the sentence.

I didn't even bother texting my address to him. If he never asked for it. Then I figure he has a solution.

I plotted back on my bed and stared at the ceiling. What time is it?

WHAT?! It's already one?

I gotta get going.

I ran into my closet and stared tearing clothes out.

Dress? Shorts and tank top? Skirt? Pants? I don't know.

I guess it's time to call an old best friend.

"Hello?"

"Maddie!" I screeched.

"Omg! Charlie?"

"OMG yes, listen girl, I need help ASAP!! I have a date tonight and don't know what to wear!"

"Do you still live where you use to?"

"Yes yes yes."

"Then I'll be there in a half hour."

"Thank you so much. See you soon."

"Bye."

I haven't talked to her in over three years. I'm still surprised she still has her old number.

~~~
"So what does he look like?"
"Well I found is Facebook page and found a bunch of photos. FYI! He's French."
"Ooh, I French guy. This might be the one."
"I hope it's the one."
"I think you should wear a dress. Just not too fancy or too casual."
"Alright, I'll grab all my dresses in the not fancy or casual section." Maddie then chuckled.
I grabbed ten dresses and hung them up on the racks I have around my room.
"No, too much yellow. Too much blue. Too much pink." There goes three dresses. Seven left. "Fine stuff to match these seven."
We looked at different dresses.
I choose my blue, green, ocean dress. Grabbed the matching blue and green heels. An ocean necklace and blue bracelets. A matching strap purse. And the makeup.
"I like, but it's too much ocean." I nodded and out everything away.
"What did you pick?"
I looked at the pink and purple dress, it went all the way to the ground. And she had pink heels, and everything else pink and purple.
"Too bright. I actually agree."
The next dress was perfect. I took a long look at it.
It was black and gray, with diamond jewels on the stomach waist part. It also had a built in silver and black belt. It was knee length, if not just a bit shorter. And it was just breath taking.
Once Maddie walked by me, she paused.
"This is the dress. Put it on." I quickly changed and she grabbed flats and heels. "Flats or heels?" Tried both on.
"Flats."
"Good. Now jewelry."
We looked through until we found silver and black earrings, bracelets, and a necklace.
"MAKEUP!" Maddie loves makeup, just saying.
She did a black smokey eye effect with wings of eye liner. Which where on point. Then she did my eye brows. All she did was full them a litter darker.
For my lips. She did a dark black and a little bit of red mixed with the black. And then silver in the middle, blended.
Now my hair, and I believe I'm done.
Maddie, curled my hair and left it down.
By the time we were done, it was seven.
"Good timing girlfriend."
"What can I say? I'm just that fast and good. I'll see you later. Call me." I waved goodbye and she left.
She would be a makeup stylist.
Next, I heard the door open.
I grabbed strap purse and put it over my head, on my shoulder and let it hang like its suppose to.
"You can come in." The door opened and revealed the hottest person I've ever met. I think I was about to sweat. Don't sweat.
"Bonjour Charlie. Are you ready?"
I nodded and walked in front of him. He closed the door and also opened the door of the car.
"Such a gentleman."
"I try." He chuckled.
~~~

"So where are we going?"

"Pour un restaurant français nommé Garçon Paris."

"All I got was restaurant, français, which I'm guessing means French."

"Yeah, but if you can't understand what I said. Then I guess it's a surprise."

"No fair."

"It's totally fair."

"Wait! I understand. We're going to a French restaurant called Garçon Paris?"

"Oui."

"YES! I knew it."

"Nu vous didn't."

"I did to."

"Je don't think so."

"Well I guessed right."

"Whatever." He mumbled.

The rest of the ride was silent, besides the music.
