Anurag and Prerna went to meet Nivi and Anupam in the evening after having bath so that there is no virus on their body surface. They both wore double masks for safety .

Nivi was waiting for them since morning,she called anurag and asked "bhai when are you coming? I am waiting for you "

He said "we will reach in 10 mins nivi,on the way "

She said "ok"and then cut the call

As soon as they reached nivi hugged Prerna tightly, whereas anurag stood there waiting for his sister to notice him. Anupam was stifling his laugh.

Anurag huffed and said "nivi mai bhi hu yaha"

She smiled sheepishly and hugged him too .

Nivi said "bhai prerna mask to utaro "

Both said "no it's not safe " simultaneously.

She pouted and said "bhai "

Anurag called Anupam and gave him a packet of chocopie . To which he grinned and said "are waah ,you brought this for me "

Anurag smacked his head and said "this is not for you ,I gave it to you so that you can go and sanitize it before nivi can eat"

Anupam sulked and sanitized the chocopie box,and then it was snached by nivi.

She opened it and started eating it .

She looked at anurag and asked"bhai covid me pregnant hona muje safe nahi lag rahi ,I am scared what if I got infected"

Anurag got emotional thinking about the pregnant lady who was about 6 months pregnant and was admitted to icu in his unit . unfortunately they have to terminate the pregnancy to save the mother because 'mother before child ' . Then also she was not stabilized and he had to perform a tracheostomy . After that her vitals were stable for around 2 days then it started deteriorating And her SpO2 fell to around 40. Her death happened after 2 days .

He composed himself and said "nivi all you have to do is take care of yourself ,wear proper mask and Don't go out unless necessary. "

He continued saying"In the 1st wave of covid there were many pregnant women who were asymptomatic but I'm 2nd wave pregnant women are severely affected those who were symptomatic , their vitals were deteriorating rapidly ,but thankfully cases are decreased there is no need for you to take tension ."

Nivi asked "were newborn of pregnant mother affected due to covid"

To which anupam said "nivi in asymptomatic cases newborn were not affected ,but in 2 wave, newborn of symptomatic mother were affected , their growth rate decreased,some were small for age baby ,some of women have miscarriage and some have to go for abortion to save mother. And also there is no vertical transmission of virus(mother to child) reported so no need to worry about that and breastfeeding is also safe"

Nivi asked "what about ct scan,we do it for covid na ? Radiation will affect the baby na ?

Anurag said " not all covid patients need to get ct scan nivi ,only moderate to severe patients need to get ct scan, and also we first do chest XRay then ct scan. X-rays can be diagnosed by a good physician. And we always put a laid sheet over the abdomen which protects the baby from exposure. According to books after 50 milligrey radiation damages baby and x ray has 0.002mgy exposure and ct scan 0.2 mgy exposure so it would not harm baby "

Nivi asked"what about normal antenatal visits ?"

Anurag replied " normally according to WHO guidelines there should be at least 4 antenatal visits ,but in India we follow every 2 month in 1st trimester , every month in the 2nd trimester ,and every 15 days In 3 Rd trimester . In complicated patients more visit are needed as you know, there is no change in guidelines due to covid "

Prerna said " don't worry nivi we will take you to non covid hospital,they give timing to each patient for visit so there won't be any other patients so less chances of infection "

Prerna said "nivi tum jayada mat socho

Sab acha hoga " saying that she hugged her .

Anurag said "nivi anupam I think we should leave ,it's quite late dinner bhi baki hai "

He hugged her and said "take care nivi ,call me if you have any problem and call me if anupam irritates you ,I will take his class "

Anupam huffed and said" bhai mere piche kyu pade hai (why are you after me )"

Prerna and nivi chuckled and gave hi-fi to each other .

Anurag and prerna started walking towards their home , where prerna was looking at Anurag with puppy eyes , and stopped in front of Domino's making anurag frown.

He sighed and raised his eyebrows to which prerna look at anurag with puppy eyes and pointed her finger towards Domino's and said cutely said "pizza".

Anurag frowned and said "but prerna,ho.." he was cut by prerna who again showed her puppy eyes and said "pizza pleaseeeeee"

Anurag shook his head and said "ok baba fine"

They both went to Domino's and took a parcel of farmhouse pizza , zingy parcel and garlic bread " and walked towards home .

Prerna and Anurag both washed their hands ,bathed and changed into their night dress .

Prerna sanitized the boxes of pizza using sanitizer spray and made it inward without touching them , then again washed her hand ,heated the food .

After that they sat on the dining table .

Prerna took a bite of her pizza and moaned and said"pizza is life I love pizza"

To which anurag groaned and muttered "I can see that "
