After the call Prerna hugged Anurag. They both sat near the bed. Prerna hold his hands and said "I didn't expected you to react like this,I thought you would be angry,hurt but in end I knew you will forgive her"

Anurag sighs and said "I am angry and hurt,she could have told me about her pregnancy the minute she got to know,am I a bad brother that she can't share anything with me "

She said "Anurag you are the best brother,but she was scared about you know that right "

She got up and walked towards the wall and sees photo frames ,one caught her eyes she smiled and said "aww Anurag you were so adorable"

He came behind her and said smirked and said "Thanks except this is nivi" she looked shocked ,he pointed to another photo and said "this is me"

She laughed and said "you looked like little monster here, why are you smirking in this picture, and now it's looks like you are trying to recreate this look "

He hugs her from behind and said "there is something missing in this wall "

She asks "what ?"

He flicked her nose and said "your baby picture "

She walked towards bed and pick a pillow and hit it to him and said "this is not gonna happen,so come and sleep "

He chuckled and said "you really don't have to give your pic , I have better sources "

He winked her and went towards his side of bed and said "good night sweetheart, we have long day tomorrow we have to go to hospital and in evening to meet nivi also "

"Today we are sending 2 of our residents to the emergency department,so that we can fill in if a situation comes , who would like to volunteer? " Anurag asked .

No one came forward. Anurag sighs and said "Nina and Prerna?"

They both said "yes"

"Ok very well,by the end of the day you will present the case of your patients, I am giving you 1hr to prepare yourself if you want to revise emergency medicine before going to department "

Nina whispered Prerna " Dr Basu aka you husband looks like very serious person,don't get me wrong ok "

Prerna mumbled "only if you know "

Nina asked "I didn't get you "

Prerna smiles and said "no he is not serious all the time,only at hospital "

Prerna blushes when she saw Nina giving her teasing looks.

They both walked towards the emergency department. Their senior doctors helped them and explained the protocol for cardiac emergencies.

At around 11:00 am ,A 54-year-old, previously healthy, man walked into the Emergency Department with a 1-hour history of retrosternal chest pain. He was experiencing intermittent chest pain four days prior to this presentation. He was a non-smoker and had no cardiovascular risk factors.

Nina asked a nurse "sister please follow the protocol, connect him to monitor and put it on oxygen ,take ecg fast his pulse is absent "

He suffered a witnessed cardiac arrest while taking the electrocardiogram (ECG). And the first part of recording showed ST elevation in anterior leads and VF in the later part

Prerna immediately started on advanced cardiac life support. Sinus rhythm and cardiac output was established after 40 minutes of resuscitation by giving 16 defibrillations, 5 doses of 1 mg intravenous adrenaline, amiodarone 300 mg intravenously and added dose of 150 mg intravenously followed by a continues infusion, intravenous calcium gluconate and intravenous magnesium sulphate .

The senior doctors asked Prerna and Nina "how do you feel like saving someone's life ?"

Prerna honestly answered "I was literally scared and stressed,I don't know how do you do it daily"

Dr Arya said "you two handled well today.It feels great and sometimes overwhelming. Sometimes things got out of our control,and I feel miserable, but that's life,you can't change it sometimes.let me guess it's not your first time in ER today dr Prerna "

She replied "sir I have been in ER while doing internship "
