Katie makes sure to wake up early to start making breakfast for Amethyst, Pearl, Ruby, and their crushes. She makes five cheese omelettes for everyone and makes sure to make Ethan two since that man can eat.

She also makes sure to make Ame's with five different kinds of Mushroom, Peppers, and Soy Milk.

Everyone eventually wakes up and comes down for breakfast. When they finish, Liam, Jason, Ethan, Pearl, Amethyst, and Ruby all go to get ready for the court hearing. When they come back down, Ruby, Amethyst, and Pearl are in an outfit consisting of a sports bra, a tank top, and a pair of shorts. The guys just ate wearing sweaters and jeans.

Katie: It's getting cold out. You sure you wanna go in that?

Ruby: Yup.

Pearl: Absolutely.

Amethyst: 100%.

Jason: We've got extra sweaters just in case.

Katie: Alright. Noah's outside. Get a move on, and when he's sentenced to life, make sure you dance for me, ok?

Ruby: Hell yeah!

Katie: Language.

Ruby: Sorry!

Katie: Go. Don't keep them waiting.

They all run out the door and run to the car as it starts to snow.

Pearl: Hi, Aunt Sasha. Uncle Noah.

Noah: Hey!

Sasha: Hi! You ready?

Ruby: I was born ready!

Amethyst: Let's do this!

Pearl: Y'all all excited, and there's me. Scared shirtless.

Ethan: You'll be fine.

Pearl: I don't believe you, but thanks anyway.

Noah starts driving to the court house and looks back at the kids through the rearview mirror. They're all sleeping in their seats. The only sound being the gravel under the revolving tires, the snoring coming from them, and the sound of Sasha tapping her nails on the cup holder.

Noah: Ok, what did you see?

Sasha: What...?

Noah: You're doing that nail thing you do when you see something even the littlest but of remotely disturbing.

Sasha: No, I don't.

Noah: Yes, you do.

Sasha: No, I-

Noah: Sasha, stop it. What did you see?

Sasha: (Sigh) I went down to the jail. I- I saw their dad...

Noah: Whoa...

Sasha: They had to have him on 24/7 guard watch. He tried to kill me. His teeth are crazy sharp, tattoos everywhere, he...he looks like a walking demon...

Noah: When did you-

Sasha: A week ago. I haven't slept in a week. He said, "I'm gonna make sure my buddies get ya! Ya and ya little gang of friends! Those sluts for daughters too!" Then the guards dragged him away and he just kept screaming, "They're gonna get ya! They're gonna get ya!"

Noah: That doesn't make any sense. All his "buddies" were already sentenced. They all got life just like he's about to.

Sasha: I know! That's why I'm freaking out. What if there are others!?

Noah: I know for a fact that there aren't. He probably just thinks there are. Even if there are, you've got me protecting you!

Sasha: I- Ok.

Noah: What?

Sasha: Nothing.

Noah: No, no. What?

Sasha: Well- and correct me if I'm wrong- Did you not get punked in the alley at the hospital?

Noah: I- I beat their heads in afterwords! You saw!

Sasha: I thought you killed them.

Noah: Nah, I told you. I just knocked them out.

Sasha: And the police STILL haven't found out? Surprising.

Noah: I know, right?

Noah pulls up in front of the court house and him and Sasha wake everyone up. They all get out of the car and o inside while Noah goes to find somewhere to park.

Sasha takes everyone to their courtroom and she sits in the center of the room. The guys all sit behind her while the girls go up to their lawyer. They all sit in their chairs and stand when the judge enters the room.

A/N: Skip all that judge-lawyers talk n shit bc I don't have the time for that.

Judge: You may start, Mrs. Uray.

Naomi: Thank you, your honor. I'd like to call Amethyst Collins up first if that's all right?

Naomi looks at Amethyst and she gets up slowly and goes up to the stand. Amethyst ignores the glare from their "father" and places her hand on the bible.

Judge: Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth so help you God?

Amethyst: I swear.

The defendant lawyer get up from his seat and starts asking her some questions.

Prosecutor: Now, your name is Amethyst, correct?

Amethyst: Yes. I'm in an understanding that you have my flies, so I'm not seeing why that question was necessary.

Prosecutor: Right, well, just for clarification. Well, Amethyst, what would you say your role in the family is?

Amethyst: Definitely the troublemaker.

Prosecutor: And would you say that you fit that role well?

Amethyst: Against my sister's better judgement, I'd have to say yes. I'm not proud of the things I've done, but I had to do what I had to do.

Prosecutor: You hear that? She's openly admitting to being a problem child. If I may say this, I don't think any of this is even necessary. You have a history of running away, assault, theft! The list goes on for five pages front and back.

Amethyst: I'm aware of that.

Prosecutor: Then why do you think you're sitting up there?

Amethyst: Because I fight for those who can't fight for themselves. My little sisters are watching and I feel that as the middle, and older sibling that it's my duty to fight.

Prosecutor: Oh? So, is that why you have ten year, in and out juvenile detention record?

Amethyst stiffens in the chair and tries not to look at Liam's hurt face. She knows she lied, but she was gonna tell him soon.

Amethyst: Yes...

Prosecutor: You are aware that those charges included: Robbery, aggregated assault, possession of stolen property, gun charges, drug charges, and homicide!?

Amethyst: I know what my record says!

Prosecutor: Ten years in and out of juvenile detention only to end up right back there! You've identified yourself as being a troublemaker. Does that include lying?

Amethyst hangs her head down and grips the hem of the tank top.

Judge: You are obligated to answer, Ms. Collins.

Amethyst: Y-Yes...it does.

Prosecutor: You've lied to people recently?

Amethyst: Yes...I have.

Prosecutor: And is that person, or those people in the court room right now?

Amethyst: Yes, he is. I told him I'd only done five years in the detention center. Liam, I was gonna tell you, I swear, but-

Liam leaves the court room before she can finish and she just looks down and wipes the tears out of her eyes.

Prosecutor: No more questions.

He sits back down and Naomi goes up.

Naomi: Amethyst, how would you describe your home life when you were a kid?

Amethyst: It- It- (Sob) I-I'm sorry...

Naomi: It's ok. Take your time.

Amethyst: It- It wasn't great. Hell, it wasn't even the last bit ok. Mr. Collins raped and beat my oldest sister, Jade, on numerous occasions. R.I.P. He did the same to my older sister, Sapphire. He also whipped her with an active wire that would electrocute her if she screamed. He did the same to me, but he carved words into my skin. Pearl as well. He sowed her mouth shut with barbed wire and raped her in an abandoned building with a number of his friends. The only thing he did you my baby sister, Ruby, was beat her.

Naomi: Now, you said, "R.I.P." Does that indicate that Jade is no longer with us?

Amethyst: She is not.

Naomi: I'm sorry for your loss, Amethyst.

Amethyst: It's ok.

Naomi: Can I ask who your guardian is as of current?

Amethyst: My oldest sister before Jade. Katie. She couldn't come because she has to stay with Sapphire.

Naomi: Your sister wouldn't happen be Sapphire Collins, the girl who was the youngest person to be diagnosed with Schizophrenia in your area, would it?

Amethyst: That's her.

Naomi: Would you happen to know the cause of her Schizophrenic behavior?

Amethyst: We were told it was from childhood traumatic experiences. When she was shown a picture of our "father" she had what we call an "episode" and kept repeating, "Make the monster go away! Make him go away!" Nobody ever believed that he did anything to us, so we stayed in that hellhole all our lives.

Naomi: That's terrible... Given your record would you like to explain why?

Amethyst: I can't exactly put it into words. I know what I did was wrong. I got involved with the wrong people, and the only reason why I continued doing what I was doing was because we needed food. In our house, if you didn't eat your food the one time a week you get it, then you don't eat at all that day or for the rest of the month.

Naomi: Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, you can clearly see that Mr. Collins is a terrible man! He abused and raped his kids, he staved then for who knows how long in their lives, and when these kids cried for help, everyone turned their heads!

Naomi takes a deep breath before continuing.

Naomi: You know as much as I do that these kids need help. If we don't put that man away, who knows what he's going to do to many other innocent kids. You may step down Amethyst. I have no further questions.

Amethyst goes back to the table and Pearl goes up next. Ruby hold Amethyst and runs her finger through her hair.

Ruby: It'll be ok. I'm sure he'll forgive you, Ame.

Amethyst: I don't think he will, but thank you.

Judge: Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth so help you God?

Pearl: I swear.

Prosecutor: Can you tell me why you all decided to wear tank tops when it's becoming colder out?

Pearl: Ame, Ruby.

Amethyst and Ruby stand with Pearl at the stand and tear their tank tops. They all pour a bottle of water over the heads and the concealer they used to cover their scars washes off. Pearl has old slash marks on her body, Amethyst has derogatory words carved into her, and Ruby has patches of skin that are all lighter than her original skin tone.

Pearl: We're sticking it to the weather just like we're going to stick it to the bastard sitting over in that chair. You can't hurt us anymore! WE TOOK ALL THIS! ALL THESE SCARS AND CARVINGS! WE EMBRACE THEM WITH WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE'VE DONE!

Amethyst: NO REGRETS! WE FOUGHT THIS LONG FOR THIS!

Ruby: NEVER AGAIN! WE FOUGHT AND WE SURVIVED!

All: JADE! NUMBER NINE! THIS IS FOR YOU!

The three girls point up at the ceiling with tears running down their faces. Amethyst and Ruby sit back down and Pearl glares at the prosecutor.

Pearl: Bring it, bastard. I've got nothing to hide. You don't scare me.

Prosecutor: Is that so? How would you describe your father, young lady?

Pearl: He's a monster who hurt me and my family. He deserves to go to jail. I would be lying if I said I loved him as a daughter should.

Prosecutor: Was he at least somewhat of a good father?

Pearl: No. Not at all. He beat, raped, and tortured all of us for his own sick entertainment. I'd give anything to never have to relive any of my days at that house.

Prosecutor: Now, your mailing address changed, correct?

Pearl: Yes. After our "father" burned down our house, we were forced to relocate.

Prosecutor: So you move in with boys you just met that same day?

Pearl: My oldest sister, Katie, has known their oldest brother Caleb for eight years.

Prosecutor: Would you say that the Sacramentos are good people?

Pearl: Absolutely. If I had to give up my humanity to stay safe and live with them, I would.

Prosecutor: Now, Katie Collins is your legal guardian, right?

Pearl: Yup! She's the best guardian any girl could ask for!

The jury awes and Pearl lets her hair cover her face and tries to hide out of embarrassment.

Prosecutor: How do you think Katie would feel if she knew you were galavanting around the town with a boy 2 years older than you?

Pearl: 1. Everyone knows the rule of dating. It's either one to two years older or one to two years younger. 2. Katie wouldn't care as long as she meet him, and he's ok. 3. I have no idea what you're talking about, mister.

She starts rapidly tapping the stand and fidgeting in her seat.

Prosecutor: I'm guessing by your nervous reaction that you do know.

Naomi: Objection! Relevance?

Prosecutor: Your honor, I'm just trying to get a better understanding of all this. If her father wasn't someone she could go to, then it would make sense that she would go to get attention from men on the street.

Pearl: Sir, I don't know what you're trying to say, but let me let it be known that all these nice man and women here today can clearly see that you're calling me, an underaged 14 year old, a slut and/or whore.

Everyone in the room looks at the prosecutor in disgust and start whispering among themselves. The judge bangs his gavel and everything goes quiet again.

Prosecutor: We were given footage from a few nights ago. According to the girl that called it in, you and a boy by the name of Ethan Sacramento broke into the school's Football field.

Pearl: We didn't brake in! He had a key, so we went! Everyone on the Football team has keys for two fields! One for soccer and one for football!

Ethan: You have footage of what?

Jason: Be quiet, E!

Ethan slumps down in his seat as they pull out the TV. A police officer inserts a tape into the VHS player and the footage starts playing. Pearl and Ethan's faces pale at the sight of a familiar black and white speaker sitting on the bleachers.

Everyone watches the tape which can only be seen with Pearl and Ethan throwing a football back and forth and the sound of slow music playing from Ethan's speaker.

Ethan: I thought you didn't play sports?

Pearl: I don't, Jade does. The most I've done with a football is learning how to hold it.

She catches the ball and looks up at the sky which has illuminated into many different colors. But the colors that stick out to her the most are black and white.

Pearl sits on the bottom of the bleachers so her feet are touching the grass and takes a picture of the sky. Ethan sits next to her and looks up with her.

Ethan: What...is that?

Pearl: Mama always used to say that when you see lights that are abnormal compared to the northern lights, then whatever colors you see match your soulmate's hair color.

The detectives have somehow gotten a POV shot and it shows a split screen of Pearl seeing black and white and Ethan seeing white. He looks at her and just smiles.

Pearl: What? Doesn't everyone believe in things like this?

Ethan: Have you always wanted to do something but you don't because you don't know the outcome?

Pearl: Depends on what it is. Trying new food? Yes. Confessions? Hell no.

Ethan and Pearl groan and start hitting there heads on the table their sitting at.

Ethan: Speaking of confessions...

Pearl and Ethan turn away from the TV looking annoyed and embarrassed. They cover their ears and close their eyes waiting for it to be over.

The tape continues and everyone watches as Ethan caresses Pearl's face. He touches her like she's glass. He moves his face closer until their lips are only a few centimeters apart.

Ethan: I think you're the most beautiful girl ever.

He connects their lips and smiles when Pearl leans into him and deepens the kiss. They pull apart for air and Ethan pulls a small box wrapped in red velvet paper.

Ethan: I...got you this. I saw you looking at this the other day so...here.

Pearl opens the box and pulls out a pair of Dove earrings.

Pearl: How... How'd you know I liked Doves?

Ethan: You...sketch them all the time. And you have one drawn on your hand.

Pearl looks at her hand and sees a small Dove sketched in pen.

Pearl: Oh. I kinda forgot about that.

Ethan: I figured you would.

Pearl takes out the white studs and puts the new ones in.

Pearl: How do they look?

Ethan: They look great.

They look in opposite directions and start fidgeting in their seats.

Pearl: So... What does this mean?

Ethan: I...I really like you. Like, a lot. You're like, the chilliest girl I've met ever. Not to mention you're nice, and you get along great with Lil' Jay. He doesn't like anyone!

Pearl: Except Ruru.

Ethan: Yeah, well, except your sister. I really do like you though.

Pearl: I...like you too.

Ethan: So... Does this mean we're, like, together now?

Pearl: I'd like that...

Ethan takes out his phone and takes a picture of them together. He starts quickly packing up their stuff and grabs his speaker.

Ethan: Caleb knows I wasn't at the house! Atlas is our cover. If Katie asks, you were painting at his house.

Pearl: Done.

Pearl grabs her bookbag and they start running back to the house together. The tape ends and Pearl starts hitting the stand.

Pearl: MEAT RIDER! YOU ARE A MEAT RIDER! YOU LIKE DICK! YOU RIDE KIDS! YOU RIDE LITTLE KID DICK! MINOR'S DICK! PEDOPHILE! FUCKING PEDO!

The judge bangs his gavel and looks down at Pearl.

Judge: I'd advise you to calm yourself, Ms. Collins.

Pearl: Sorry...

Prosecutor: Tell me what we all saw, Ms. Collins.

Pearl: I don't know who that is. Who dat?

Ethan: Since when did I have a twin?

Pearl: I don't know. I have one too!

Ethan: Imposters! Clones!

Pearl: Aliens!

Judge: Quiet, please, Mr. Sacramento.

Ethan: Sorry.

Prosecutor: Ms. Collins, may I remind you that you are under oath?

Pearl: Fine. You saw me, as you would put it, "Galavanting around the town with a boy 2 years older than me". To be honest, I don't really care. None of my sister's can keep a secret, so even if you DIDN'T play that tape, one of them was gonna find out, and one of them would tell everyone else.

Prosecutor: You have more freedom now then you had with your father, correct?

Pearl: I'd like to think so.

Prosecutor: And you had a curfew with said father?

Pearl: Yes. 9 PM.

Prosecutor: Yet, here you are out after 1 AM. Instead of sleeping, you're out with a boy.

Pearl: You're point? Katie said as long as-

Prosecutor: You're sister isn't here, Ms. Collins! If this is the kind of thing you do when you have a little freedom, I'd hate to see what you'd do when you get a lot of freedom. No further questions.

He sits down and Naomi goes up.

Naomi: Pearl, I see you have scars around your mouth. Can you tell me what happened to cause that?

Pearl: He did it...
