《Indian Queen Of Roman Crown (completed)》chapter 11

Little Justus was waiting for his father since morning as Marcus already informed him about his father's arrival. It was almost nine months since Justus last saw his father but everyday Marcus used to take him near Augustus's portrait so he remembered his father's face. Now he was two and half years and was able to speak properly. Marcus went away to do his music practice promising Justus to return as soon as possible.
While Justus was looking at the entrance of the palace from his room, his cousins Romeo (six years old, son of Felix and Olivia), Lorenzo, Leonardo, ( five years old twins of Linus and Tatiana) and Francessco (four years old son of Magnus and Flavia) came and started teasing him.
"Is little Justus waiting for his father?" teased Romeo. All of them burst out laughing. Justus glared at them with his angry eyes. He hated his cousin brothers and was really irritated with their behavior but he didn't say anything to them because his Uncle Marcus told him to not fight with them.
"You know Justus, my mother says that you killed your mother and our aunt Valentina. You are a curse from birth."
Added four years old Francessco.
Tears of frustration leaked out from Justus's eyes. He let out a helpless scream. He didn't know who his mother was but everyone blamed him for her death. He was just two and half years old who didn't even know what death was but still everyone said that he was the reason of his mother's death. He also craved for the love which his aunts gave to his cousins. His aunts used to feed his cousins with love but he didn't have a mother who would feed him. He had maids to do so who were very mean to him. At times his uncle fed him but not everyday.

When Romeo got hurt then his aunt Octavia aided his wounds and even cried but no one attended his wound when Lorenzo knowingly pushed him
and he got a cut on his knee. Blood was oozing out and he was crying hysterically as it was first time when he saw blood and the pain was unbearable for a toddler like him. Nobody cared for him. At night when his uncle came then he scolded maids and ordered them to clean him up. Maids were also calling him words like disgrace ,curse and filth. He just lowered his head and shed tears.
Romeo, Lorenzo, Leonardo and Francessco had mothers who would tuck them to bed and tell them stories but he was forced by maids to sleep .
He prayed to God everyday to send him a mother who would take care of him,who will love him. He cried and wailed for his mother's love everyday.
"oh! Looks like little Justus is angry. " added Leonardo. Justus wiped his tears and screamed in his baby voice full of anger , " I have a mother. God came in my dreams last night and he told me, I will send you your mother. I have a mother, I have a mother.... "
" Your mother died because she did not want to see your disgusting face " said Romeo in anger. Their conversation was interrupted when they heard screeching of wheels. Justus's eyes lit up when he recognized his grandfather and father but what completely got his attention was a lady with colourful clothes and ornaments. He had never seen someone like her.
He thought that finally God has heard his prayers and has sent him a mother from heaven who was different from everyone's mother. He ran as fast as his little legs could carry him and wrapped his arms around her legs.

Rithambara was taken aback by the boy's gesture. She looked down to see the most beautiful child with lovely brown eyes looking at her. She instantly picked him up in his arms. Augustus was yet to process what happened . He was still sitting on his one knee with open arms to welcome his son but he ran to Rithambara. Everyone including Aurelius and king Atticus started laughing seeing him which made him turn a shade of pink. He instantly withdrew his hands and raised to his full height.
Justus's happiness knew no bound. He turned towards his cousins and said, "look! my mother is back! You all said that she died because of me but see she came. Now she will love me and will tuck me to bed and tell me lots of stories"
Rithambara was speechless. She didn't know how to react or make this child explain anything. She came to conclusion that this child's mother was dead as he was telling other kids so but she didn't understand that why was he calling her as his mother.
Suddenly she heard all the children laughing which was certainly directed to the small boy in her hand.
She heard the eldest amongst them saying, "she is not your mother . She don't even know you and if she will come to know that you are a disgrace then she will drop you down because she will not want to die. " Justus's face
instantly fell and pearl like tears fell from his eyes. More than Romeo's word, the thought of his mother leaving him scared him.
Before angry Augustus could utter anything, Rithambara said in affirmative tone, "I'm his mother and he is definitely not a disgrace. He is angel, my angel."
Everyone was shocked beyond limits at Ritha's words. Romeo, who didn't like anyone defying him said, "you don't know him, he is a disg... "
He was not able to complete his sentence as Rithambara glared at him very hard. Romeo being a child of six years old cowered away in fear.
Though she loved small children but at this particular moment she wanted to slap each one of them. She didn't know why she said those words or why was she feeling so protective towards this child. The moment she held him , a feeling of placidity burst into her heart. She loved the way he looked at her with innocence. She didn't know who he was or how was he related to the royal family but that didn't stop her from saying those words.
She heard her husband saying, " next time think twice before calling my son a disgrace, I wouldn't hesitate to cut your tongue. " This new piece of information certainly caught Rithambara off guard.
