《Love And War - A Fortnite Story No.4》19 - Infiltrating The Mothership

Groaning in exhaustion Midas slowly awakens to the sound of Dark Jonesy's voice. He sounded panicked and worried about him.
"Mmm...Huh? What's wrong?"
"Dark I've told you multiple times. They can't just strip me of my powers. They weren't given to me, I was BORN with them."
Midas couldn't help but think he was right. Over the month and few weeks he's been stuck up in the Mothership his physical and mental condition had been progressively getting worse.
His clothing was ripped apart or torn in places, his hair was a scruffy mess and he had cuts and scars going all across his body. And, like always, his mental health had been suffering greatly. His nightmare of being rejected by Jones kept replaying in his mind, trying to convince him that the blond will never want him...
And it was working...
Midas sighs, hugging his knees. Just then a group of aliens barge through the cell door and grab the weakened mastermind, dragging him out and leaving Dark Jonesy all alone again.
-------------------
It took Jones a little longer than he intended to get back to the island as he made a little 'detour' on the way. He visited the reality Slone let slip out her mouth and was honestly quite surprised at what Marigold told him, but he respected her wish and returned to the island alone.
He lands back where he and Slone were once talking and puts the rift device down seeing as he didn't require it anymore.
"Okay. I think I'm all set."
The rift butterfly flutters from behind him, ringing as a way to greet him.
"Haha, hey buddy. Wondered where you went." He chuckles as it lightly boops his nose. "Though I suppose you lil guys can't follow me outside the Loop... unless you were hiding in my pocket."
Just at that moment, Slone comes into the room and finds Jones standing there talking to the rift butterfly. Needless to say, she was furious he escaped the Bridge undetected.
"You!!"
Slone pulls out some kind of sticky grenade and throws it at him. With no need to ask the butterfly rifts Jones out, making the grenade stick to a nearby computer. It goes off and destroys it along with the desk.

"Ugh!! That stupid traitorous blond imbecile! He better not come back from that Mothership alive!!" She yells, yelling at the top of her lungs.
-----
Jones lands outside the complex, far away from the buildings and guards. Turning to the butterfly he thanks it.
"Phew. Good call."
He looks up at the Mothership with confidence.
This was it.
All his training, plus mental and physical development had been preparing him for this moment.
Noticing a nearby UFO being prepared to take off and return to the Mothership he begins running over. The rift butterfly remains where it is, knowing in some sense that Jones wanted to do this next part alone.
He rapidly begins tying the rope to the harpoon gun and making a knot near the bottom of the rope so he could cling onto it easier and stand on it.
The UFO begins flying into the air. Timing it right so the alien doesn't see him he fires the harpoon. It charges through the metal and sticks in place, allowing Jones to freely hold on to the rope and be lifted into the air.
"Here we go..."
He made sure everything was on him and the sceptre was attached tightly to his fieldpack, plus Midas' pickaxe that he borrowed prior to firing the harpoon. The cool breeze brushes past his face as he's pulled higher and higher into the sky.
"Woah...look at that."
In the distance he could see chunks of Coral Castle being abducted by the Mothership. It looked like they were almost done with it too. Jones shivers from the cold wind hitting his arms, clinging on to the rope.
Within a few minutes he was nothing but a dot in the sky as the UFO begins approaching a hole for taking them in and sending them out. Jones braces himself, gripping on the rope tighter. A purple light lingers over him as he opens his eyes to find a huge area of parked or unused UFO's.
"Wow... that's a lot..."
The one he's attached to lands on the ground. The alien hops out, clearly not noticing the human he unintentionally brought with him and walks away. Jones sighs in relief, pulling the harpoon shot out the vehicle and putting it away in his bag.

"Okay. Now to figure out how to find the prison decks."
Clutching the shotgun in one hand and gripping on to Midas' pickaxe with the other he ventures through the Mothership, coming across a map laying out the whole thing.
"According to this it's..."
He scans it thoroughly, taking in all the info. From where he was, the prison decks were actually not that far away.
"Huh. Just through the north room's abduction chamber and a left turn."
Following the directions he finds himself in the north room. On each side there was an abduction chamber leading to different places.
The question was...
"Which is the one that'll take me to prison decks?" He mutters.
"Maybe I should just guess and get lucky?" He thinks. "Ugh, no! You'll only get it wrong and waste time Jonesy. Try looking for a sign."
Unfortunately, he doesn't get a chance to as a group of aliens barge into the room.
"I knew one of us brought another human on board! Fire!"
They take out their weapons, firing at Jones. Seeing as he had no choice, he takes out his pistols and begins firing back. He manages to eliminate two of them. Another lands a shot in his right arm, causing him to flinch in pain.
"Agh! Shit.."
He holds his arm, glaring at the two aliens remaining. They grab him, moving closer to the abduction chambers.
"Hmm, we should send him flying into the sky and back on to the island." One says, pointing at the middle one.
"I disagree. He could be of use to us Kymera. To the lab!" The other says, pointing to the one on the right.
Jones smirks.
"Those idiots just answered my question!"
He quickly headbutts one and kicks him away and elbows the other. Then takes out Midas' pickaxe and brings it down on them.
"Okay. Left chamber it is!"
And he leaps inside just as more aliens barge into the room.
------------
Midas grunts in frustration, trying to break free from his captor's grips. They had left the prison decks a while ago and were now wandering into a science bay of some kind. In the center of it all was a machine with see through windows built to house a human inside.
"Agh! Unhand me this INSTANT!! You can't just extract my power away! I was born with it. It's tied to me! Why can't you imbeciles understand that?!"
He's shoved inside, an alien from behind removing the hidden taser on his back and locking him in the machine.
While Midas usually chooses to show no signs of fear, this time around he was absolutely petrified that he was going to die. Electrical attacks were his one weakness all thanks to his cursed hands.
"Let me out!! Please!!" He begs, feeling helpless.
"Turn it on."
"Please! Let me out- AGH!!"
He yells in anguish, feeling charges of electricity surge through his already weakened body. The aliens watch in satisfaction. He tries to hold in any tears that threaten to form. He didn't want to give in to these monsters' enjoyment of torturing him.
He tries standing up, a shaking hand on the window. Knowing he probably wasn't getting out of here alive, he begins accepting his inevitable fate and challenges the aliens by saying;
"C'mon. Give me your worst."
They oblige and turn to the one operating the machine.
"Turning it up to 50% power."
-------------------
Meanwhile...
Dark Jonesy was in a right state of panic. Midas was out there being tortured to death and he was stuck in his cell with no way to help.
A nearby thud alerts him. He turns around in his cell and sees a person who had just come through the nearby abduction chamber.
Lying there on the floor was a tired and exhausted John Jones.

I'm just an 'Ordinary' Human (MCU fanfic)
A guy gets hit by a truck and sent to a fantasy world with less power than your average peasant. (Un)fortunately, he discovered his secret power of Immortality at the hands of the current destroy-the-world inclined Demon Lord and becomes experimental subject #1. After hundreds of years, the Demon Lord is killed and the job of destruction was handed to him. Being not terribly favorably inclined to this fantasy world, he wreaks havoc on the world... Killing sacred beasts, massacring cities with an army of undead, headhunting servants of God, plaguing a whole continent with a deadly virus. But he was still unsatisfied.During an experiment, he accidentally killed himself trying to open a gateway to a new world. And wakes up from his coma in his original world. Except, it isn't his world, exactly. Now there is a man in a metal suit, a 90-years old buff dude with a shield, a muscle head demi-god and other weirdos who formed a team called the ‘Avengers’. None of that matters though, because he is so over all that drama. This life is going to be carefree. Or at least, that's the plan. Note: The 4th wall is thin on this one, so the MC often breaks it.
