Reed's POV
Dee walked into the house but he was upset. This was unusual due to him always being happy and cheerful, Me and Dove were making food. Dove went to hug him and he whimpered and ran away. Maybe we needed to change his batteries or something.
We finished making the soup and knocked on our door. He opened it slowly and I inspected him.. his overalls were ripped around the pelvis area and I knew. I fucking knew.. I brought him to the dinner table unlike I normally do, I usually carry him but I was too fueled by my rage to carry the poor kid, plus he probably doesn't want it anyway.
When Dove asked him how his day with his father was he broke down sobbing. He ran to our room once more and I followed. He was under the blankets and sat on my bed and I cleared my voice. He came up, still crying, but he knew what was about to happen.
"Hush little baby don't say a word.. Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird. And if that mockingbird don't sing.. papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring.." I started to sing as he looked at me, tears still in his eyes.
"Hush little baby don't say a word Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird and if that mockingbird bird don't sing Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring. And if that diamond ring turns to brass Papa's gonna buy you a looking glass. And if that looking glass gets broke Papa's gonna buy you a billy goat.." I continued.
He sat up straight expectedly "And if that Billy Goat don't pull Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull. And if that cart bull turn over.. Papa's gonna buy you a dog named Rover. And if that dog named Rover doesn't bark Papa's gonna you buy horse and cart. And if that horse and cart fall down you'll still be sweetest boy in town.." I finished as he drifted off to sleep.

I smiled and left the room and my smile fucking dropped. I put on my jacket and Dove knew.. he nodded and stood up too. Our jackets were on and Dove started the car. We're going to kill Roy.
