everything's for you, i'll be alright.

The smile with which Jimin opened the door to his apartment made Taehyung want to crawl into a hole and die. The hand in which he was holding the packet of steamed bun trembled behind his back as Jimin's face lit up in surprise.

"Tae? What's up at this time of the night? Not that I would mind." Jimin giggled and Taehyung felt drops of sweat roll down his back. Without a word he handed the steamed bun to Jimin, who furrowed his brows in confusion. "Oh! Did you meet Jungkookie?" His small hand brushed Taehyung's as he took the packet with a smile and Taehyug felt like he had poisoned Jimin with just his touch. "Thank you. Come inside?"

"I- I have to go Chim. Bogum hyung will be waiting for me." Taehyung sighed, taking in Jimin's face before leaning over to kiss his forehead and whispering softly. "I'm so sorry."

Jimin chuckled, lightly punching Taehyung's arm. "You don't have to apologize Tae. You're here all the time as is. Go spend some time with Bogum hyung."

As he heard the door close and walked towards the elevator, Taehyung felt an immense feeling of guilt. If only Jimin knew what he had apologized for, if only Jimin knew what he had done, if only Jimin would have told him on the face that he hated him for breaking apart the only thing that ever made him truly happy; because Taehyung felt like that's exactly what he deserved.

Jimin sniffed the aroma of the bun, his stomach growling in hunger. The television was playing in the background, the small noises being the only thing distracting Jimin in his silent apartment. The boy pulled out his phone, deciding to text Jungkook to thank him for the steamed bun. Jungkook had read his message almost immediately but there was no reply. Usually there would be hearts in return, or just anything. Jungkook never left Jimin on read. The blond boy took a bite of the bun as he typed again.

Good night my Jungkookie, dream about sweet things :)

Jungkook should have responded with something along the lines of how he would dream of Jimin since he was the only sweet thing he knew. But Jimin stared and stared at his phone for what seemed like an eternity with no reply. With every bite of the bun, the boy's worry increased. Maybe Jungkook was sick, that's why he wasn't texting back. Maybe he didn't have the energy to. Unconsciously Jimin was dialing the boy's number, brows furrowed in worry.

Three rings, Jungkook should have picked up by now.

Seven rings, Jungkook would be apologizing over and over for having picked up late since something had come up.

Twelve rings, Jungkook would never wait this long.

Fifteen rings, something was wrong.

Jimin sighed, ending the call and flopping onto the couch. His mind was restless but he convinced himself that maybe Jungkook had put his phone on silent and slept off. Maybe he was that sick. So the blond boy drifted off to sleep holding his phone close to his chest in hopes that he would get a call back the next morning. Little did he know he wouldn't. Little did he also know that he wouldn't see Jungkook for days after.

It had been more than a week since the whole incident with Jungkook had happened and Taehyung had long since begun to notice it taking a toll on Jimin. The boy hadn't seen or heard from his boyfriend in so long that he was almost convinced Jungkook was mad at him. Taehyung watched as Jimin stepped out of the cafeteria after his shift, head dropping and frame sagging in a way Taehyung wouldn't ever like to see him.

"I'll tell him," Taehyung whispered to himself as he strode towards Jimin with determined strides. "I'll tell him what I did, he deserves to know."

He had almost reached Jimin but his feet came to a halt at the sight of a boy adorned in a black leather jacket walking past. Taehyung gulped as he watched Jimin's face light up the most he had seen all week. The blond boy reached out and caught one sleeve of the leather jacket, holding back the boy wearing it.

"J-Jungkook? It's been a while. I thought you were si-"

Jimin frowned when Jungkook gently pulled his jacket out of the grip and continued on his way. Jimin felt his heart skip beats as he jogged behind the raven haired boy.

"Jungkookie? Is something wrong?" Jungkook clenched his teeth and stuffed his hands in the pockets of his jacket, nails digging into his own skin. Jimin sounded alarmed. His Jimin. "Jungkook hey," Jimin spoke out louder. "Please talk to me if something's wrong."

"Jimin," Taehyung called out so he could just scream at the boy that this was all his fault but Jimin had his eyes trained on Jungkook and had tuned out the rest of the world.

"Jungkookie please," Jimin sounded more and more broken with each of his pleading and Jungkook wanted to do nothing more than turn around and hug the boy. "Jungkoo-" Jimin yelped as he tripped over the pavement and fell on his knee. Jungkook came to a stop then, breathing heavily, almost crying. He was hurting Jimin both emotionally and physically. His Jimin. Jimin noticed that the raven haired boy had come to a stop and he stood up, not paying attention to the scrape in his left palm burning. "What did I do wrong?" Jimin's voice broke with the last word and Jungkook turned around, taking a step towards Jimin and stroking his hair affectionately. Jimin looked up at him with teary eyes and Jungkook took a deep breath to lessen the pain pulsating through his chest.

"You did nothing wrong sweetheart," Jungkook closed his eyes. "It's all me. I'm not a good person Jimin-"

"Stop it," Jimin croaked out as he hit Jungkook's chest. "You are one of the best people I know. Stop saying things like that I-"

Jungkook shook his head, letting go of Jimin's hair strands. He took a step back and Jimin automatically reached out for him. Jungkook would have cried right then but he held himself back. Instead he let his hand travel to Jimin's injured palm, bringing the wound up to his lips to place the smallest kiss on it.

"When will you stop hurting yourself like this? I cannot be around you all the time to save you now can I?" Jimin sniffed, stepping closer to Jungkook. "Jiminie, it's best if I stay away from you. I don't want you getting into trouble because of me."

"No," Jimin shook his head, a tear already escaping his eye. "No. I don't care about anything Jungkook I need- I need y-you. Please don't-"

"Forgive me my love," Jungkook whispered as he leaned forward to kiss the crown of Jimin's head. "You made me the happiest."

Jimin broke down as soon as Jungkook turned around and continued to walk away. Taehyung noticed Jungkook biting his lip hard enough that it drew blood, and tears leaked out of his eyes. Jungkook looked at Taehyung as he passed, and gave him the smallest of smiles and a nod. Taehyung reached out to stop Jungkook when he heard Jimin hiccup in between his sobs. He turned his attention towards his soulmate, collecting him into his arms and shushing him gently. When Jimin had receded to slight sniffles, Taehyung opened his mouth.

"Jimin I was the one-"

"Take me home Taehyung," Jimin whispered, drained off his energy. "Don't say anything please just take me home. I want to be alone."

Taehyung closed his eyes and agreed, knowing everything he had ever thought about had backfired majorly. As he took Jimin home, Taehyung wished he could turn back time. What had he done.
