Quackity's POV:
I saw Will fall down. My heart skipped a beat. Someone put their hand on my shoulder, "Come on Big Q. He's finally gone." But I didn't really notice it. I took a step towards the cliff, could still see Wilbur, eyes closed, about to hit the ground at any moment." Quackity?" Karl asked in an uncertain voice. Did I just want to let Wilbur die like that?. Could I do this to him and to me? Well, no. So I let my wings appear, which I usually hide, turned around where I saw partly shocked, partly astonished faces and let myself fall backwards.
Wilbur POV:
"QUACKITY" someone shouted. Suddenly I felt thin arms wrap around my chest from behind. Startled, I opened my eyes and saw that I was about to hit the ground. I was stopped with a jolt. I looked up in surprise. I couldn't see much. Except for a pair of big golden wings. Judging by the shouts, it was probably Quackity. But since when does he have wings? We flew a bit over the forest until an open area appeared and he carefully set me down there. I looked at him. He looked pretty exhausted. "Oh come on, I wasn't that heavy either." I teased him." Shut it. Let's just rest here. I'm tired and the others will probably not look for us again until tomorrow." he said in a tired voice. "Okay, I'll look for some firewood then." I said while looking around.
It was almost midnight when I held my meat over the fire. Quackity sat next to me and kept falling asleep. He would probably fall over in a moment. The idea made me laugh. It can't go on like this! Without further ado I put my piece of meat aside and looked at him. He didn't seem to really notice. He peered into the fire. What is going on in his head? I cautiously stretched out my arms to him. When he didn't flinch, I walked forward and carefully picked him up from under my shoulders. He just grumbled something and let it happen. I set him down carefully on my lap. He leaned in carefully. Sweet?. "I'm only doing this now because I'm tired." he said in a grumpy voice. i just laughed "Now sleep, we have to leave tomorrow morning, the others are probably looking for us again..."
