"Well Tris, nice to meet you!" The girl, Shauna, says. I look nervously around and fake a smile. They don't seem to notice. "Can I see your schedule?"

I nod hesitantly and take it out of my pocket. My hand shakes a little as I hand it to Shauna. Why am I so anxious? It's probably because I haven't seen him?

Should I ask? What if they say no. What an awkward situation. Don't think I'll ask. Instead I just pinch my stomach, like I normally do when I feel like this. It just, soothes me?

I hear a squeal and jump back into reality. "Tris! We have 3 classes together!" Christina yells. I thought Shauna was looking at it? Okay then. She hands it to a guy who I forgot the name to, and he reads it.

A few moments later, he laughs. "You have two classes with me, and all of them with Four." He laughs again and says, "How did he get sooo lucky?" A girl standing next to him slaps him and he rubs his arm.

I smile at him, and end up laughing, as the others do the same. Without thinking, I blurt out my question. "Do any of you guys know a kid named Tobias?"

The all look at me in confusion, and I get really nervous again. I shift into different positions until one of them speak up. "No. Not to my knowledge. And I know everything." I think his name is Will.

Christina rolls her eyes. "Okay Nose." The group laughs but I'm sitting there in confusion, again. They don't seem to notice me just standing here awkwardly, so I return to my unhealthy thought spiral.

Maybe he doesn't go here anymore? Did you take your medicine today? Yes. I think. Are you sure? I'm pretty sure. I don't think you are right. But I do! Maybe you need to check? No, I'm okay! Fine I'll leave.

The next thing I hear is the bell ringing, and I quietly follow Christina to our first period. This will be a long day.

Okay. You may be able to tell that Tris has, well, mood swings I guess. This is because she is Bipolar in this story. She also has anxiety and self esteem issues. I also have these issues, so I should know what it's like for her.
